I have suggested something like this here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/85077-build-idea-the-damaging-healbot/ I have 2 questions: - is the healing of the kind wayfarers talents dependent on the damage you deal with your FoD or killing blow? - Does it scale with your level? The usefulness of sword and shepard is reduced by the fact, that you start many combats with an FoD shot as initial strike, and at the start of combat you don´t need healing.
  2. About prone on crit: My main char is a barbarian with tall grass at the moment. Sometimes the combat log shows: "You crit enemy for x damage, and an additional effect" but it does not show what effect. Sometimes it shows:" You crit enemy for x damage, enemy is prone for x seconds" It could be mob justice, because all other effects are shown, such as prone, stunn or sickened (threatening presence). It will take a long time until I play with this char. First I finish with my barbarien (I am at the start of WM1 and I have done a few things in act2) and then there are so many other good games. But when I play PoE again, this would be one of the chars I like more than many others. Should I do damage, healing or tanking? I can´t decide so I do all at once
  3. Ok, he will get the arbalest. Prone on crit is nice, especially with the +20acc bonus of FoD and maybe sworn enemy. About getting hit: Neither this char nor my monk want to get hit. Effects that trigger when you get a crit are nice, but I do not complain if I do not get hit because my defense is so high or because all enemies are CCed. A monk does some damage with his fist auto attacks and this char will be happy if Maneha stands behind him with tall grass. In case I defeat several enemies in short time, inspiring triumph does not stack, does it?
  4. Well, the options seen on the screenshot: graze to crit and stunn on crit This would be: - I am consistent and reliable. I can work through any obstacle with patience and dedication. - I wish to subdue my foes with my power I guess its because this is the only time where you add 2 enchantments at once on the same weapon in the enchantment screen.
  5. I have Zahua in my party. When I pause the game and select torments reach, there is no AoE indicator. Since it should hit the initial target and a cone behind it, the AoE marker should look like the ciphers mind wave. In the log I saw the extra damage for the initial target, but I did not see that it hit another target. Did anybody test if it hits other targets at all? The combat log does not always show everything.
  6. I take the greatsword, because with weapon focus soldier I get also accurancy for the arkebuse. This will be max damage for the initiat FoD stike (though at the start of the fight you don´t need healing ) At the moment I play with a barbarien and Pallegina is equipped with st rumbalt. She is great and I wish my char could have the wrath of the five suns.

I had an idea about a paladin, who heals the party by doing lots of damage. stats: high mig, per, int, all others at 10 race: moon godlike class: Paladin (kind wayfarers) talents: flames of devotion, strange mercy, sword and shepard, everything that boosts damage of 2h weapon equipment: 2h sword, heavy armor, shoed in faith What does he do: - use falmes of devotion = heal - killing enemy = heal - getting a crit = heal (shoed in faith) - losing endurance = heal (moon godlike) I want to have a good old DnD paladin like keldorn from BG2. So he gets heavy armor and a 2h sword. As weapon, St. waidwens redeemer would be a perfect replacement for the holy avenger (if it does not hit the paladin anymore). Tidefall or the blade of the endless path would also be nice. I am not sure if estoc or greatsword are better. keldorn (and the holy avenger) had a great dispel ability, so he gets deprive the unworthy. keldorn was also immun to charm, would be nice if I get this done. Do you think that this might be a good build? Sorry, I do not know the game so well that I know every equipment or talent that may be useful. He is part of a full party, because he wants to heal somebody while doing damage.
  8. I have Zahua and did not change his stats. I do not see any AOE indicator at all. I have a look when I play again and if this stays like this I write a bug report.
  9. I have taken zahua instaed of Eder as soon as I found him. He is my "tank" and wears heavy armor, but with his fists he does more damage than Eder could with any weapon. Maybe I take Eder when I need max defense (like he can block a passage alone with some strong enemies behind) With hatchet and shied and defense+ talents, he was immortal with his passive self heal and only his health (not endurence) was the limit. His damage was very low, but he is a full tank. Maybe I set Zahua on aggressive. I have set all chars to defensive and nothing, so I do select all abilities, but pausing after every attack to use wounds is too much. Is it normal that torments reach has no AOE indicator? In the log I can see the extra crush damage, but I am not sure if it hits other enemies.

This is in the Ogre cave, where those 4 armed things (name forgotten, sorry) attack the wolfes This may be related: When I was in the central room of the lower ogre cave (with purple light and 3 stone structures), the combat log suddenly started to show combat between these 4 armed things and ogres, but no enemy was nearby. I loaded the game and the combat log did not show anything again, but when I came to this room I saw this picture.
  12. I fight the icetroll in the area west of stalwart. It is stunned and my char has tall grass, the pike which does knockdown on crit. I used also wrath of the five suns and wounding shot and maybe something else. The troll looked like this for a long time, the entire duration of GMs mental binding.

  14. When you enchant this spear, this text looks strange. The text behind the red marker should start in a new line.
  15. I play in german. You see the image in english above and the same image in german below. I have finished a quest and I got the message that a new adventure is avaiable for the stronghold. Aloth is busy with another task. I guess the problem is, that the word "busy" is hidden behind the image of Aloth. The german word for "busy" is "beschäftigt". It is longer and so you see the beginning and the end, but is is also behind Aloth. You cannot select Aloth for this quest. (As it should be.) Expected behaviour: The text "busy" should be written above the image of the char, not behind.
  16. Ist es wirklich sinnvoll, "takedown" mit "Vorbereitung" zu übersetzen? (Ist auch ohne patch so) Wortwörtlich "runternehmen" ist Unsinn, "umrennen" kommt besser hin, klingt aber auch blöd. Wie nennt die Polizei das, wenn ihr Hund so etwas tut?
  17. I was confused when leveling up. All other passive talents (at least the ones I have seen so far) do not have a speed value, only the effect is written. What does speed mean in this context? Is it the lengh of the intervall in whitch the target has to do a saving throw again? In case that is so, what is the lengh of the intervall?
  18. Ist es weise, dass 2 Barbarenfähigkeiten gleich heißen? (ist auch auf deutsch ohne patch so) Auf englisch heißt es "blood lust" und "blood thirst". Ok, Blutlust klingt wirklich blöd auf deutsch.
  19. - Mir ist eine unbedeutende Kleinigkeit aufgefallen. Der Koch im Salzigen Mast heißt "Chef". Er ist völlig unwichtig und man kann mit ihm keinen Dialog anfangen (kein Dialogfenster erscheint), aber normalerweise wird der Koch auf deutsch nicht Chef genannt. - Wenn ich etwas seltsames finde schaue ich auf deutsch ohne patch und auf englisch nach wie es dort aussieht. Mir ist aufgefallen dass deutsch verbessert wurde (Waffen heißen nicht mehr wie Attribut+x). Hat Obsidian eure Änderungen endlich übernommen?
  20. Does it stack with the sneak attack of a skaen priest? That would be the only class with 2 sneak attacks, or can you not take both?
  21. Dieser Zauber schützt vor verschreckt, geschockt gibt es nicht.
  22. Dieser Questeintrag ist falsch. Es ist auch auf deutsch (ohne patch) falsch. Man muss die Teile vom Zepter zu Imatl zurückbringen. Von Nans hat man bis da hin nie etwas gehört. Auf Englisch ist das richtig.
  23. Das sagt Imatl in Ondras Geschenk. In jedem anderen Spiel würde mich das nicht wundern, aber hier wirkt " . . . du siehst nicht wie ein Wächter aus . . . " seltsam. Wäre " du siehst nicht wie jemand von der Wache aus" (oder so ähnlich) besser? Anders gefragt, ist in dieser Welt das Wort "Wächter" allgemein bekannt als jemand der Seelen sehen kann oder wird es meistens benutzt wie in unserer Welt auch?
  24. Thanks MaxQuest Regarding the name of this topic, what is the base damage of an animal companion? Game mechanics wise they must be equipped with a weapon, lets call it "teeth". Like an unarmed character is "armed" with his fist (with monks having better "weapons"). You are right, at lv5 I have the talent that gives more damage and DR penetration (vicious companion?) and the one that gives +50% when target has dots (predatory sense?). Sorry, I play on german so I am not sure about the english names.
  25. I am lv5 and Sagani has joined my group. According to the character sheet, Itumak has 10 might but he does tons of damage. I think he has a DR penetration of 8 and he does often up to 40 points of damage. No other char in my group has so high damage numbers. For many ranger talents, I am not sure if they apply to the ranger, the pet or both. I think I will keep her in my party because it is nice to have a permanent meat shield that does lots of damage.
