  1. used to have three of the darkswords but then I gave em to my brother
  2. they did that in WoW... have you ever looked at a WoW tool bar? they have more commands than I have hair follicles on my body!
  3. yes but your paper on Odysseus gave that impression. plus the fact that you had students come back and talk to you about their college.
  4. I would like them to mix the two. the K1 robes seemed more like the fighting regalia that you see in the movies while the K2 robes were for everything else.
  5. also the fact that everybody has differing ways of implementing the same rule changes things. One person may say that your archery skill is on par with the common soldier while another says its' good enough to shoot the apple off a giants head from a continent away. Another thing is that some games have persistant worlds with metaplots and such, like WOD. only problem is that if you were to send a Vampire character up against a mage or a Warewolf the vampire would be dust before you could say anything. Hunters are just horrible and Demons didn't exactly get far enough off the ground to try anything in another setting.
  6. Power trees arn't feasible because of the way that the force powers work. It's not like your powers are based off the fact your different from one another. you can all do the same stuff, it's just that the dark side are more agressive in their use of power and are willing to use the power in different ways. it's not like they tap completly different sources.
  7. you know the survivor chick who got married? she's my Uncles wifes sisters daughter.... Beat that Alan! Oh and uhhhhh James Marshall was one of my Great great... Granduncles. he's the guy who found gold in California.
  8. American Gods by Neil Gaiman Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett Battletechs Clan invasion trilogy by Michael A Stackpole Xwing series By Stackpole Three kingdoms by Luo Gongzhong Dragons of Autum Twilight, ... Winters Night, ... Spring Dawning by Margret Wies and Tracy Hickmann Liberty Project by Kurt Busiek
  9. eh if everythings going to be rated AO why not just make the games like R movies with as much nudity and cursing and such?
  10. or for example Deus Ex IW could have actually been better if you didn't spend 20 minutes doing the last three areas (i'm exaggerating but the game did seem to go from normal pace to mach 4 after Trier) Ultimatly what a company has to do is look at the game and the story. keep the plot points within distance so that the player actually has a goal to reach, and try not to get the plot points too close together or spred out all over creation. like trying to go from plot point a (person dies) to plot point b (you find out your a clone of your opponent) by running all across creation.
  11. No no, I am sure quite a few new shoot'em up fans were thrilled with Jade Empire.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what I'm saying is that they make more games aimed at getting newer audiences interested in them. the games are not what the more traditional fans like (ie this board) and thus the traditional gamers start to whine.
  12. Police has access to heavy weaponry in the US? Anyway, what is it then Commissar? The Marines? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's called SWAT over here. Fast tactical response teams armed with heavy weponry. I think they can ultimatly take out anything up to a tank.
  13. it was faked but it tries to explain the phenomon.
  14. former king of ireland in the time before jesus here.... Please tell me the irish arn't going to try and put me on the throne... And yes darkside babies=cute.
  15. From an english teacher... makes you wonder what the schools are like today!
  16. Enders Game, by Orson scott card. pull it from a library or get a loan from a friend (you do still have those right? ) and that's all I'm going to say. Masup? I didn't give it away entirly. I just know which book it's from.
  17. my troop did well, then the scoutmaster left. the new one was not willing to make changes to accomodate various boys with different problems. My brother for example was not allowed to go camping anymore because the Scoutmaster had taken him to Philmont and gotten pissed because of the stuff that happened there. No attempt to compromise, just you cannot go. Also every decision made by the boys was reviewed and could be changed on the whims of a single parent. the parent wasn't told to just remove their boy from the particular outing, the parent got the entire outing thrown out. It just got me ticked off so I ended up leaving for about 2 years, checking back, then being gone for the rest of my highschool career
  18. read Enders game. that is all I'm going to say
  19. Bioware has become too much of a leviathan to be able to please several of it's fans and still get new ones.
  20. I feel warm and fuzzy knowing that Authority is back! And I don't think LA is so much trying to sabatoge Obsidian as much as it doesn't care about obsidian. LA got the game and the Obsidian can fall apart, unless they are contratually bound to make another for LA, as far as LA can care
  21. but I don't have a life to get in the way! I've got City of Heros! (booing from the penut gallery) :D Yeah it feels like games are getting shorter, most of the newer ones are deffinetly not on par with FF7 or BG2. Some of the RTS's are getting shorter, at least in terms of multiplayer because the online community either loves a grand total of one map (Act of War) or it's online service gives my Network FITS (age of empires). I think Sid Miers Pirates! is one of the shorter games i've played recently. yeah it has a lot of replay value but it's learning curve is very quick between difficulty levels. Most EA games are iffy about multiplayer unless you register them VERY FAST. I cannot register it anymore because sombody with a keygen just registered it to their name. Shrugs
  22. haha not at all I'm part of a not so usual group of scouts. We're located in a troublesome neighbourhood, so most of the children there are from poor families. As such, we're not so strict with uniforms and stuff. Acting like a drill instructor would serve these kids nothing. Rather, we focus on communication, and make sure everyone feels accepted in this group, so we can keep them off the streets. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Better than my old troop. and that's all I'm going to say
  23. the Bhuddists had a swastica that went the opposite from the one the nazi's used. It meant life. And my comment about the axe was from my TOMBS report (thank you Eldar)
  24. May the dreams of sleeping through the night be sweet and the nightmares about her teenage years never come true
  25. Watch little Nicky. no I havent done it, but K1 at least suggests it for a more "cinematic experiance"
