Been working every day. On thurs I go home to visit the family, but today I just wanna sit around and talk to somebody face to face.

Romance from top down or over the shoulder ? Depends on the romanced female... some like it over the shoulder, others like the top down.

Still settling into my new digs, but managed to get a few shifts at work. Have been forced to leave the window open at the back of my place just so I don't broil... Donno if the AC guy came by to check on the unit, but I hope he has.

Well I moved and the internet at the new place is a barrel of terrible monkeys (specifically because I'm running on a wireless router because the "local" phone jack is busted)

Company party the other night, then yesterday my car decided to have a gear break off the starter so right now tis in the shop and I'm gonna be biking back and forth between work and home in the dark and trying to figure out how the hell I'm gonna pay for this while maintaining a decent emergency fund in my bank.

Toughing it out through a pretty bad cold... as in bad enough that it's making me question if I should be working. I'm one of those people who never really gets badly sick, so if it's kicking my ass it'd put my dad out of the loop for about a month.

Nope, not everyone. Just the less-annoying ones. Specifically for DA1 Alistair and Morrigan were only romance-able by opposite gendered Wardens. Leilana and Zevran were romance-able regardless of Warden gender. Race was never considered, as far as I recall. In DA2, each romantic interest were always interested in the Champion in the primary game (Anders, Fenris, Merrill, Isabella) but DLC companion Sebastion is only romance-able by opposite gendered Champion. To be fair, Sebastian is also the most chaste romance (he's basically a bow-priest).

Dragon Age is the setting, not the title of the story. You're in this world (THEDAS: THE Dragon Age Setting), and things happen within it during the age of Dragons. Depending on how you look at it, the entire story could be about the Mage/Templar war that was started in Kirkwall. You can't compare Dragon Age to something like LotR because LotR is a story set within the land of middle earth. It's more closely related to Star Wars and the numerous stories with different themes and arcs as different writers each spin their own tale within that world

So, I started work today at about 8:30. I'm probably gonna be stuck working until at least 9pm.

Hung out with ex roomie last night. She was rather drunk but still able to beat me at pool. And for today and the 4th, the entire day was spent in a vehicle driving from the airport to school and back. Trying to find my way back to California for at least a weekend to see the family but don't know how that'll work out. Also need to get utilities and internet set up for my new place... gotta remember to do that this week.

No, but at the same time they aren't demanding equal representation within the mook population. And this isn't strictly for AC, but for any game where you're slowly mowing down an army of doods in the course of gameplay... including goombas from mario.

I can't tell you how often I see on the news stories about a man leaping from a building onto his wife, assaulting her with his hidden blades, and then escaping from the police by hiding on a park bench. These violent video games are wrecking our society. This made me chuckle. Just sayin

And this is exactly why I brought the subject up. For all the demands of equity from members, they don't want to deal with the politics of mowing down a small mountain of women despite mowing down mountain upon mountain of male generic enemies. On one hand we've got the Assassins Creed "Give us a female protagonist" crew who demand that a female protagonist be put in the game because of a stupid comment, but at the same time those same people would say "But you shouldn't put in female enemies because that'd be to much like domestic violence!"
