too human... I think with the design of it that it'll be to easy to complete and lite on the combat for most people at this forum.

Got off a 48 hour long bus ride from Chicago to Sacramento. then saw some friends and tried to catch up with everything that's happened within the past month.

They didn't' court martial me (I'm back home now) all they did was dock my last weeks pay (well after the Captain signed my paper) and send me home greyhound. What I really want to fight is my re-enlistment code. That sucker is the big thing that pisses me off, because I've got an RE-4 which means I'm unable to re-enlist and most federal agencies won't even look at me for a job... I'm just wondering how the heck to go about getting that changed. I had bipolar well before I entered the military, I just didn't think it was a big thing because I told my recruiter and all he asked was "are you on medications?" to which I responded no and he just went on like there wasn't a problem in the world. the thing I did knowingly (and stupidly) conceal was that I'd had counseling up until about 2 months before entering the navy. :shruggies: I guess I'll go Job corp or Borders (currently working on the app to the latter)

the cartography series from Michael A Stackpole. Good series, if a little bit unexplained at times (he got magic doing WHAT!?)

I'm fine. It's just that bipolar is a disqualifiying disorder. and nobody told me (but I still was given fradulent enlistment for it no bad reprocussions except for a minor pay doc). I got really freaked out when my dad told me that "You're not coming home" and got suicidal and thus I was placed in the VA acute psychiatric unit for observation and released three days later, I should be able to get out of here by the end of the week or next week.

final Necropost I swear. Currently I'm in "Seps" or Seperation Barracks Ship 17. I'm stuck here for another two weeks at least before they send me home for medical reasons. I must say it's really boring when your entire day consists of not falling asleep and trying to find somthing to do. All the food here contains no sugars, and the atmosphere is one of depression and a lack of dicipline (in this ship, in my origional division it was pretty different obviously). and to Gifted, go get the Blue Jackets Manual. that thing will show you all the jobs that are currently available within the navy and tell you kinda what they do. With a bachelors they'll probably put you throught OCS rather than this place but :shruggles: Also tell the people who process you EVERYTHING when you go to meps or where ever. anyway times up for net access g2g be back in 2 weeks.

I would guess that they have accountants, after all my paycheck comes from SOMEWHERE within the armed services. You do still have to make car payments and rent if you decide to live off base (according to my cousin anyway) but :shrugzies: I'm currently scheduled for a 8 week boot then (I think) an 18 month marathon of network security. You can't change MOS unless you were like Sand and was unrated.

Cliff said that they kept it to two players because then you wouldn't be having one person way out front of the rest of the team triggering everything so that the others couldn't get their weapons and keep up.

Civ IV actually won a cultural victory (and was 4 turns from a space race victory at the same time)

>.> well I'm a Cryptological Technician. or at least I'm going to school to be one within 10 weeks. I guess this is goodbye for a while. I'm off to the recruiting office and then to MEPS for tickets and travel information to boot camp... :waves stupidly:

Just finished "A Secret Atlas" by Michael A Stackpole... it's different than the other works of his I've read.

damaging government property. couple guys in my brother's boot camp troop (US marines) got dinged for it. as i recall, they got bent for a few days as a result. this was back in 1990 when the san diego MCRD was still operational (didn't they shut that one down since then?). taks >.> well it's got another two days to heal before I ship out.

Following Congressional subpoena, Karl Rove flees USA.
Calax replied to Cycloneman's topic in Way Off-Topic
perhaps the congress is trying to put rove in a position where the publicity and the focus upon his not knowing/refusing to answer kills most of his political capital? -
well got back from a week of nation trotting (mainly visiting my dads family) to learn that my brother was headed to Disneyland... so I bought some tickets to be on the same plane as one of my brothers friends... I'm gonna be BROKE when I hit boot.

biggest problem with ME2 using shepard is how will they make all sheps be created equal? I mean a level 60 shepard isn't going to be on part with a new shepard in ME2

Wanted I liked it, it deserves the R rating it got certainly, and some things are a little crazy (a guy shooting the wings off of flies without any weapons training?) but it's a good popcorn flick. Side note: it's based off a comic series VERY VERY tenuously. they steal a few lines and some very basic plot elements and character names but otherwise it's COMPLETELY different from Mark Millar's origional.

wow... nobody bumped with lego indy and the bonus of the Kingdom of the crystal skull review?

I'm just worried the endings are going to turn out like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance where, if you didn't do all the sidequests right somthing terrible happened. For Example, you don't save the queen of the Shi'ar, you just wiped out the west coast of america. and so on. I can understand not putting a freaking face maker in the game. I REALLY don't want to spend 1 hr trying to get my face to look right only to find that in the first cutscene it looks like the nose was grabbed and yanked UP at the tip. things like hairstyle and the general grizzledom level of the player is fine but not the actual structure of the face.

Romantic Interest anyone?
Calax replied to SirPetrakus's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
This reminds me; is there a co-op play for Alpha Protocol? We could double team him. Oh God! That thought's giving me hemorrhoids! Unless you're girls, which would be giving my peepee a very tingling feeling. they are definatly guys. -
PC games will always have an advantage in certain segments: (imho) FPS's for the keyboard and mouse controls, heavy duty RPGs, and RTS's. While there have been attempts by the industry to make these genres work on the platforms (rather well in FPS's case) I still find that it's MUCH easier to control an RPG and RTS with the keyboard and mouse scheme as opposed to your traditional controller. that said, certain games lend themselves to consoles, Fighting games, Platformers, and hack and slashers, more often seem to do better when you don't have to worry about the 80 odd other buttons on your keyboard. Also the standardized control scheme helps as it's easier to jump from game to game (this trend has since jumped to PC but theres always some variation between games over what buttons do what in the genres in PC)
