  1. TOTAL WAR NEWZ! It's shogun 2, but in order to compensate for the comparative size of japan to europe, they're setting it up so that you're running around as a bit of the merc http://kotaku.com/5554041/new-total-war-co...-for-the-orient Also, I think the dude stabbing the map in that is from Takeda given the clan symbol in the backround.
  2. Be prepared to get bombarded with requests from 18 y/o's to get alcohol for them. Can't wait until I transfer next fall (already have a bottle of grey ready ), though if I can afford it I'm going to rent out a 'pay by semester' apartment. I think I'm on the 21 and older floor. I'm basically in the upperclassmens dorm areas which should cut down on the number of underagers going "Dude! I totally, like, need some booze dude. If you get it for me I'll let you pet my schway haircut!" At least with all the foreigners around my christmas won't be boring.

Also I was thinking, in Mass Effect Asari can basically reproduce on demand. I thought that when Liara decided to play snuggle bunny with you before the final mission, she basically was almost guaranteed to have a little Shepard running around because from everything I've seen, Asarii don't require a bodily fluid exchange to create little ones. And yet there isn't even a throw away line about any kid or anything relating to that coupling beyond a passionate kiss when they meet back up in ME2.
  4. I didn't mean narrow I meant short, my head is almost bumping into the roof. That's a problem a lot of tall people get into with cars; there are some we just physically can't get behind (as is its a bit of a chore getting into my car although I basically fit). yep, I'll never get a vette or anything because of how low it is. The BMW was small, but I still fit (barely) and thus a slightly newer larger model would work.

Thing about Bond is that he might have a dozen bastards he doesn't know about because the girls either die, or just disappear after a week. And while games are an escape, you could probably have a few cute scenes where he either does his best to squirm out of parenthood, or mans up and plays dad. It'd add more depth to the relationships (unless done... horribly) and bring a bit of maturity to the entire thing. It might also actually send a message to gamers that your actions have far reaching consequences that aren't necessarily world shattering to the general public.

Kinda, what put it in my mind was Alpha Protocol, where Thorton is running around as captain super spy and secksing up the ladies, no mention of protection is made but I'd guess that given the heat of the moment a for a few of em he wasn't exactly being the most careful of partners. I was thinking that reguardless of the choice of protection or not, in the sequel you'd have to contact her for whatever reason and she sees you and basically says "You..." and then you have to smooth out the daddy issues, and decide to either go deeper into the relationship or make it just a one night stand that you're paying for the results or whatever. Fable two was just to basic for what I'm thinking of.
  7. This may sound odd but would anyone want to see a sequel to a game where you had romance options, have your romancee come back and say "You know, you're a daddy now" (assuming the PC is male)? I personally would just like to see it because it's different, and shows more consequence than just "oh hay, you can go out and sleep with anything that moves and be perfectly fine!"
  8. I am sure sitcom hilarity will ensue! Honestly, I'm expecting a lot of warcraft and hearing chinese spoken in the halls >.> Also, I wonder how they'll react when I pop up with a book set of Romance of the Three Kingdoms (basically the Chinese version of King Arthur to a degree).
  9. Honestly, the PC controls need to be adjusted. The big thing that doesn't translate is that basically when you hit the WSAD you're moving the control stick on the 360 controller (invisible!) in the direction of whatever button. The mouse however moves the way it's moving and can often be inexact. I've had several hacks where I failed because at the last second my mouse would move one right, then up then finally I'd get it centered back on the thing just as time ran out. The security bypass in taipei tho was INSANE
  10. I don't think they'll allow you to extend it given that they said in the panel "We basically screwed you" "AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!"
  11. Got my housing assignment at Iowa state. I'm roomed with a gent from Shanghai who's also a physics/astro major, and we share a bathroom with another chinese fellow from Xuzhou in China. To round out our quartet is a Iowa native. Also, across the corridor it appears that we've got a quartet of women. Our floor has a lot of engineers and other science majors, with a much smaller portion from the liberal arts.
  12. Problem i kept having with that was that evasion wouldn't go off when I was chargin the guy.
  13. Well, I should rather say the AI was unpredictable. Either way, I didn't think of tranquilizer darts because I though it was okay to shoot them. Until of course Mina pointed out it's not. But then it was too late as hell broke loose. I think at the CIA offices you get docked one for every agent you kill, I accidentally shot one (The game made it seem as if I all of a sudden went nuts on them and killed em all) and only lost one point of friendship.
  14. Anyone tried a literal ninja build of Toughness, Stealth, and melee. I could see replacing toughness with Sabatoge, but I'm thinking that this would either being INSANELY tough or INSANELY easy.
  15. I trusted her completely (even got her clothes off and had a cute scene where she's wearing my shirt only), but had trouble figuring out which way to go to save her and ended up accidentely letting her die (i'm going to... correct that). I thought she might have been working for Leland for a bit but *shrugs*. Quite a twist if she had been.

    Jerky mouse fix

Oddly enough, the stuff is in different places with XP I can't find anything like this in the "DefaultEngine" ini, or "DefaultGame", "DefaultUI" Edit:Whoops, was looking in the program files directory rather than my docs.
  17. http://kotaku.com/5552646/a-quick-look-at-...ons-new-trailer OOOOOOHHHHHH! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!
  18. Because they're not Israel. This is what I've been banging on about for ten pages. Israel is important, it stands for something bigger. It's Fort Laramie, a dirty, battered outpost of Western democracy. Those who would see a shadow of Iranian-style dictatorship descend over the entire region want it destroyed. They are using multiple tactics, including this old favourite from the KGB playbook of using 'progressive elements.' Am I suggesting that this flotilla is on a hotline to Tehran? Hell, no. Am I suggesting that the European liberal left is being subtly manipulated, that it's acidic self-hate is being hi-jacked? Hell yes. So basically we have to cover Israel because it's a demonstration of how things should be... So why don't we do what we did with Isreal in Tibet? Force the Chinese to give up the territory and then set the Dhali Lama up as a leader, to create a bastion of westernism within the far east? Or do we just do that when the genocide is physical rather than ideological?
  19. Boy, Cryptic is making a lot of MMO's anymore... ST:O, Champions, I think they're doing one other project and now NWN MMO?
  20. Defense usually implies imminent threat. As to "sworn to annihilate them", wouldn't England have used the same situations and been raked over the coals for the same situations if they pulled a blockade like this of Ireland because of the IRA?
  21. I've been to every continent except India and China. There's a definition of continent, and Russia is most certainly is not one. Grats, China isn't a continent. Unless you concede that Russia is a continent. There's a map of the continental plates (Major at least) have fun.
  22. is it just me or is the one on the middle left looking like she's trying to scream "HELP" but doesn't wanna get killed and eaten by the other three?
  23. Given the amount of territory Russia claims as it's own, I'd consider it a continent in it's own right. It just doesn't float around together like other continents.
  24. Genocided, and then attacked from the inside & outside constantly since 1948. And? Are they just being given miles of leeway because they're considered first world while Darfur is turned into a wasteland, the Congo suffers under a brutal dictatorship who are probably worse than the Nazi's and Kosovo, where the state-supported (who's leader was tried for war crimes no less) genocide was only stopped due to heafty military intervention, and then fell off the peoples radar? I'm sick and tired of having to tap dance around Israel because "Oh how we've suffered". If they're under imminent attack from six states, they should learn to deal with it on their own and try to place nice, rather than saber rattle and laugh before running to uncle sam.
  25. An argument could be made that the construction materials are humanitarian in that it gets people out of leanto's and tent slums. (In a side note, Sacramento used to have the worlds largest Tent city on it's eastern side until the city gvmnt decided to start finding ways to make that go away). And to a degree, Gaza, I think, might as well be considered helpless given that the best they seem to be able to muster is sporadic firing of rockets in the general direction of their opponent (meaning any direction but the sea). I mean when two countries go to war, and one controls total access in and out, generally the other is pretty screwed in terms of EVERYTHING. Particularly given that the Israeli version of "containment" means building a wall through Gaza territory for protection that ruins farms and they don't even pay for the land they used, and then they refuse to allow people who had been working normally in Israel to go to work through the checkpoints. Honestly if this were happening anywhere that wasn't "Woe is us, we got genocided 70 years ago" Israel, people would probably have imposed sanctions on Israel.
