Because they agreed to help off screen. Mike even says it when the mission begins. No problem BTW. Huh, so does that mean if you piss off Albatross he won't ever get captured? That's pretty cool. nope, you'll swap handlers and have a slightly different starting bit. You run with the VCI and literally smash down the front gate.

North Korea attacks and sinks South Korean ship, killing 46 people
Calax replied to Humodour's topic in Way Off-Topic
Does self defense include beating the living tar out of a guy 60 lbs lighter with a baseball bat while wearing armor because he said "I'm gonna get ya!"? Because that is basically the war in iraq in a nutshell... militarily they would do better with harsh language. -
Are we sure it was a prototype? By the end of the game I was thinking that the Missiles were basically standard and Halbech was selling weapons of a more standard variety.

So, then you're against the war in iraq. -
I just had an image of thorton like that singing "Ooooh I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok, I sleep all NIGHT and I work all DAY!" as he plows through guards.

Read Eddings Elenium... for the second time (overall) Honestly? it was better when I was younger. Now that I read it I notice that overall the little group that is formed in this book has a character that will resolve ANY situation, no matter how awkward or extreme, one of them will just happen to know exactly what to do. And any foibles they do have are either covered by their other partners, or are considered "noble" drawbacks (like being a little TO loyal to their mission etc). Also one thing that bugs the heck out of me is that the characters are all "Church Knights" for an analogue of the Catholic church. Except that because of stuff that's happened in the past the Knights are mostly secular, but can weigh in on theological deliberations (one major plot point is the election of the new "pope"). It's particularly annoying when the main character is the strongest, fastest, most noble, and the "best" all around soldier... he's also the thrones "Champion" (Basically military advisor who also fights people), and by the end of the book he's And he gets even more "awesome" in the sequel. It's an ok story that would have been MUCH better with a few changes (the knights being something other than religious soldiers given they aren't religious, and a few setbacks with them not getting everything they wanted). I still prefer the Dread Empire and Black Company series, but then I like the darker tones of those books.

I actually started trying this out in a fresh recruit game. I've got toughness, MA, and Stealth as my three main pools with Sabotage being right behind. It's... rough, given I don't have a pistols at 3, got it at 1 and shotguns at 3 (gotta have some sort of semi ranged) and I'm having trouble getting used to ranging my attacks because if you're a half inch off you flail at mid air while they blow you to pieces.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That's a really clever bit of reactivity. I also was able to pretend to delete the bugs in the g22 server while leaving a last one, something I was not able to do on my other character that did not have any technical aptitude. I wonder if other "classes" get reactive moments like these. They should given the disucssions we've seen in other places on here from Devs. I did notice in my "meet conrad" conversation Thorton said "I'm an operative now, I had to change my 5 year plan after saudi". I expect that if I'd gone with commando or whatever I'd find that he said something else.

Pick the option that's for humoring him. It's funny as heck because you give him some stupid conspiracy theory and he turns around and believes everything you say and sends you an "OMG!" styled email. Does he actually believe it, or is it all just banter? I have a feeling Heck just places huge value on a good sense of humor. He believes it... he literally comes back and says "I knew you were the perfect guy! I hadn't thought about that connection you made! I sahll now investigate it!"

Israel butchers civilians in international waters

It's hard to have an economy when you don't have the ability to trade with an outside party and can barely support your own population. Do you like contradicting yourself? I mean according to you palestine is perfectly justified in pushing the Israelis out -
I wonder what they'd make of stuff that I'm gonna learn in the course of my physics studies. I get the feeling "That's not math, that's foreign language!"

so, I guess taking all your clothes and leaving you with a 4"X4" square of wool would be all right to you for public modesty? -

In terms of global warming, the question is not "is it happening" it's "Did Aye Dooo THAT!?" -

The wikipedia link (which in itself is a very biased UN prevention of human rights commission report) does not give any evidence that Israelis broke the truce, in fact it only says the ceasefire was brought to a de-facto end by Israel's use of force on Nov 4, without stating a reason for the use of force. The truce was supposed to go until December http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7709603.stm -
I'm odd, when I saw the thread title I thought that Fox News had finally started truely foaming at the mouth and the anchors charged into somebodies house and attacked a baby....

I remember Leland spouting "The only thing more lucrative than a war, is a cold war". Or something.

is what he says wrong? Your look doesn't have much of a gameplay change, grenades don't exactly bounce around, and for the most part you're running around in a third person shooter but with rpg elements. He does say that the rpg stuff is pretty good too.

Reasonable scientists and others are challenging the hysteria and slowly de-bunking the whole thing, I suppose. What dream world do you live in? One based on open, peer-reviewed science, not astro-turfing leftist groupthink Really? Because most of the information I've seen has said that yes, it's happening. -

Israel butchers civilians in international waters

Yeah, thats pretty much sums up most of the posters in this thread and my point. Hamas is a spotless and friendly organization that loves puppies and is only involved in the flotilla out of the goodness of their hearts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pales...suicide_attacks Does Israel overkill at times? Yes... but I find it hard to condemn them like most of you when they are trying to prevent that ever growing list of dead men, women and children. And given Israels track record, I'm sure that Hamas feels that they're doing exactly what Israel is doing, they just don't have laser guided missiles and tanks, so they have to make due. I mean after all Israel broke a truce and demolished most of the Gaza infrastructure, killing more innocents than Hamas would have in the same amount of time. To the point that Israel was accused of war crimes, as was Palestinian militants. -

Israel butchers civilians in international waters

Why is it that if anyone says anything mildly bad against the jewish people, it's anti Semitic but when anyone does that to any other group (or they do it to any other group) it's not made much of? -
Israel butchers civilians in international waters
Calax replied to Humodour's topic in Way Off-Topic
Oh, and you were there were you? It is fairly easy to condemn them when you do some actual reading and not react like a jew hater, like the video showing the Israeli commandos going in with non lethal weapons like paint guns and video of them being beaten and thrown off the ship. Stop with antisemitism mr. 'Zionist BS'? Yeah... sure... if you stop with the Hamas BS. You know the funniest thing? Your links are directly contradicted by other links within the thread -
