  1. Maybe early world exploration will be possible for those who really want to - they could do something like: to reach to specific location (for the first time) you'll have to access it from directly neighbouring place and from specific area exit - so maybe if you just rush forward for few territories, you'll be actually able to "unlock" most places from the beginning (not all - as some will certainly need info to unlock) - whats the point though - the only thing that is usually profitable from things like that is unlocking all your permanent companions early on, but in case of PoE there will be also temporary companions, so if we gather our permanent party members the temporary ones wont be able to join -> we'll miss their "input" (though on n-playthrough i would try doing that).
  2. Remember though that some spells have cone-like area of effect or line ahead of the caster area of effect - so each time you'd like to cast those you'd have to reposition not to damage your companions in the process - so i'm thinking that either actively searching for good place ranged cipher or close range cipher flanking the enemy are way to go. What do you think about this?
  3. And how many times did we all play BGs? I've stopped counting long time ago xP
  4. Is there a newer version than 480? Because in that they still have armed to the teeth No - just 480. I've seen somewere the footage from char creation (don't remember where now) - but it was changed. So either there are two v480 ... or idk ... Please confirm - I DO hope I'm mistaken xP
  5. Oh right It probably should be signed as [Priest:Skaen] though, to be more specific and prevent confusion. Actually it would be also cool if there were some requirements from gathering information - book we read, people we succesfully investigated and so on. Well maybe in sequel
  6. Maybe it's known for a long time to many of you, but i just found out that the dialog requirements are not just for attributes, skills and our reputation, but also for specific races, cultures, classes, and then some. How cool is that? Now my rpg-player perks "completionist" and "perfectionist" got activated and i'll just have to play them all
  7. none of the races suck so much that you shouldn't pick it for roleplaying reasons. Disagree. I'd happily set most of the races in this game on fire and start over. For being ugly, mechanically terrible or just boring. And I'd start with the godlike, for violating all three. For a first character, I'm leaning toward Island Aumaua Rogue, Raider from Deadfire. Strong, Smart and Loaded with Guns, because resting is for chumps. Seriously, I hate per day abilities. I may choose companions just to avoid them entirely, partly just to see what that does to the feel of the game, even if that means allowing the ranger (read that in the same tone most people say leper) to exist in my presence. Plus then I can rag on Eder and Pelle for not being tough enough to push on in the front. I wanted to go with Island Aumaua too, but aparrently they've changed they awsome +1 weapon set for +5% movement speed -.- Now i'll either go with pale elf (elemental res) or coastal aumaua (prone/stun res) for my wizard. Wait, what? What kind of garbage is that? I'm beginning to think I need to wait for several weeks until a couple patches pass and there are full descriptions of how the systems work before I even touch the game. Especially class/race/talents/spells. Oh, and weapons, since apparently guns got smacked by the Sawyer Nerf Bat. They've changed that in the latest BB. To tell the truth it WAS kind of OP in comparison to other races, but they've changed that to possibly the worst racial passive -.- I doubt that w8ing couple of weeks will change that - besides its quite possible that patches will came out for a long time (plus there will be expansion(s)) - so if you want to play with completely finished product you'll need to w8 probably like a year or so xP I'm going to squash bugs and spiders from the day one can't w8 much longer
  8. Wizards fighting spells and talents (Arcne Vail, Concelhaut's Parasitic Staff , Citzal's Martial Power etc.) are quite powerfull, Druid with his shapeshift and Returning Storm is also neat (though after shapeshift he doesnt look like "battlemage" you may wish for xP). After watching some of ciphers videos i don't find him that appealing - imo he is more like dualclassing of rogue/mage - very squishy and he should be in the front best dualwielding (as far as i know he's getting x focus for each succesful hit - so 2 fast hitting weapons are best for him) - it may be just my (wrong) impression. Other choice and possibly the best is heavy-armoured chanter (you should stick to the front anyway to buff your companions and debuff enemies).
  9. Not sure if I understood your language correctly, but after installation (also from GOG) you'll be able to change your text language to polish (and several other) - voice language will be english however.

  11. ' Badass. Hahaha But wait, Miranda...dat A$$. Gotta love dat ass xD
  12. I'm not sure if you can actually get such helmet, but godlikes have better racial abilities to compensate, they look cool, rp purposes and they are perceived differently than other races so for x playthrough you'll want to check them out anyway xP
  13. Stagalands is definitely not hand-holding whatsoever, but I don't think the devs intended that to be frustrating for the player. It's part of the experience for the player to explore and discover and experiment, much like Demon/Dark Souls/Bloodborne (FromSoft games) where there is no hand-holding. I certainly hope so (i love all these games) - i think i read somewhere that to move your story forward you'll have to read everything attentively and sometimes you'll have to write down some stuff on piece of paper to not forget about something (like it was with many old games) - there'll be no journal/quest log and sometimes you'll be said to search for item X in place Y and if you forget about that you'll be in trouble (though i guess after some time we'll be able to find our lead back on Uncle Google xP). I wasn't reading much about that game though so i can be wrong
  14. Yea I've heard about Staglands - but i'm wondering if its not too hardcore for me - i like having quest log and have some kind of map. Too detailed maps with markers, which takes you by the hand and lead you to your objective bothers me even more - but not knowing where i am at all sound a bit to extreme for me. Well i guess i'll have to check it out and then decide if its going to be finished or thrown away and forgotten xP Yup - i have same fears about TToN - they havent shown us much footage from it and im afraid that it'll be delayed quite a lot.
  15. And "if" (bwahaha - we all know it will) PoE become a success they are planning PoE 2.
  16. Have you heard about Sword Coast Legends? 3rd cRPG of this year which looks promising https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZmyUfDP1no I'm still more hyped about PoE and Tides of Numenera though
  17. ME 1: Garrus, Wrex, Ashley, Tali ME 2: Garrus, Thane, Tali ME 3: Garrus, Tali, Ashley I loved most of the companions honestly, but my least favorites are by far Jacob and Vega (stereotypical and uninspired). Garrus is my bro, calibratin' all day 'er day. Jacob and Kaidan IMO were the worst. I know that Vega is kind of cliche but he had few very funny moments xP
  18. I hope that there will be continuation with save import option from first PoE which will change few things if you do + increased level cap.
  19. Well entire trilogy actually That's a hard one - i consider Mass Effect as the game with the best companions ever (or at least in top 5) s But i'll try: Mass Effect: Urdnot Wrex (Garrus on second place) and Liara as the best Romance option Mass Effect 2: Grunt, Thane, Legion, Jack (on further places Mordin and Garrus) best romance option: Jack or Liara Mass Effect 3: Garrus, Javik, Liara, Vega Whats yours types?
  20. I would go Chanter - much more versatile (can fight during chants, can spellcast, can summon). Besides you will have opportunity to play both classes on your first playthrough anyway (KanaRua, GrievingMother).
  21. I started my 4th playthrough of Mass Effect on Friday
  22. Name: Either Hegenox (my personal fictional name ^.^) or Kurrenkamerruk Race: Island Aumaua Class: Wizard (always playing as mage first) Background: Scholar/Scientist/Mystic Culture: Deadfire Archipelago He will be rational.
