So, I just noticed that I have 58 whatever units of money left. I had more than 40000 before and I certainly didn't spend it all. I reloaded a save game from just before that and I have more than 1000, and if I go further back it's 30000. I really doubt it all went into my crew salary, I just spend 69 per day and the 30000+ savegame isn't that far in time! This is extremely annoying. I don't know what are the steps to reproduce this issue since it's not happening at a certain time, and it seems to exist in several of my savegames so not sure if attaching the latest one here is useful...? Did someone else experience this issue? Honestly it's the last one in a LONG series of bugs (the other ones were less problematic) and I'm starting to get really tired of playing such a broken game.

Hello! The Deadfire wiki says that there are several crew members recruitable in Tikawara (such as Pig-Sticker Rukowa) but I just cannot find where they are recruitable (not with the person that lets you recruit adventurers, or the guy who sells supplies). The only exception is the story-tied crew member. It's driving me crazy! Did someone manage to find them?

Ah, Black Geyser looks interesting! It's still time to pledge on their backer portal apparently so i'll take a deeper look, thanks for the link. Speaking of indie isometric RPGs (but not really the same style), if anyone's interested there's a KS going on for the sequel of Winter Voices (it's a psychological RPG). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/claralehenaff/child-of-the-pyre I'm in the dev team though, not sure if I'm allowed to link it here? Couldn't find anything about it, but I must admit that I didn't read all 17 pages of this topic. :D

Yup, we all secretly want to romance Josh. And the kraken but that's not a secret, why have all this tentacles otherwise?

Be happy, because after posting yesterday I went grocery shopping and bought the ingredients. I couldn't find black cocoa powder (it's really not easy to get by in France) but regular cocoa will do, I think. I'll post a picture of my Dark-ish Rauatai Cookies when I'm done baking them. Not today (I have to bake other stuff before that), but in a few days for sure!

I think the first poster CAN make the conversions but just find it really annoying to have to do it every time. So do I, honestly. I'm still gonna do it though, because I hadn't realized until I read this thread that those were PoE recipes (I thought it was just Tim's personal recipes). So, can I make Darkest Rauatai coo... OHMYGOD YES I CAN LET'S LIGHT THIS OVEN RIGHT NOW

It's in the FAQ : https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire#faq The last paragraph says that the coupon is "redeemable on Paradox's website for a Steam key". Can't be any clearer. I'm sorry but if you don't even read FAQs I don't know how they could have given that information to you, that's what FAQs are for. The prices in Western Europe (and probably Canada) are pretty much the same as in the US, so it's not only interesting for American people.

Apart from the VAT issue, what prevented me from taking any physical goodies was the shipping price. I wanted a T-shirt but the shipping would double the price (I'm in Europe too). If they ship from the EU, I don't really get why that would cost 25 dollars. (And that seems a lot even from the US, I'm about to receive my Torment t-shirt for which shipping cost 10 dollars so I don't understand why there's such a difference.)

At least you got to back the first game. I heard of the campaign several months after it ended, and it didn't occur to me that there could still be a way to back it afterwards. I regret it SO much now Your pledge is probably one of those that haven't been transferred yet. There's a reason the email hasn't been sent

Ow, there are transaction fees? I didn't know that (never used Paypal before). I'll give a little bit more than 10 next month then. How much is the fee? As for the whole "recognition" thing: I have other suggestions. -Not have "ourselves" recognized but create imaginary victims of the Bastards. We could even pair up (as in make a team of two) to create this victim, its name/loot/other information we can put in. -Have "ourselves" recognized with lore-friendly names but also make a team of two so we combine names and/or loot, fate, and whatever. This way we can have more people in, and I think it's fun to do. We could also just give people who agree the option to form a team or not (it might be too complicated for some people), that would leave more freedom for everyone while still giving the possibility to include more people in total in the ledger. What do you think of this?

I think we can sum up Tyranny by saying that it was an embryo of potential good game. There were plenty of underdeveloped cool things but it seemed to be lacking/unfinished on a lot of departments. It felt like they had to rush and smash a lot of things together. I really hope there will be a sequel one day with a real team/budget (and a better system for those who care about combat) because it COULD be awesome, and that was the most frustrating thing for me, the wasted potential.

You know, you're probably joking but one of the disappointments I had with Tyranny was that you couldn't do the whole petty bureaucrat thing trying to keep order and 'greater good'. I went into the first act thinking that I could try and keep order, protecting the general people while making necessary sacrifices ("Gotta kill you to keep up appearances but the rest of you can go"), but in the end it all just boiled down to "Pick one of three sides or go at it by yourself". I think I was expecting something more... 'political' I guess? Less fighting, more talking. Yup, same. I enjoyed Tyranny and loved the premise but think the execution was pretty bad. I'm not gonna spoil things but I chose a side thinking I would be able to make things go in a specific way (and the dialogue let me think I would be able to do that) but in Act II I only had the option to do things very differently from what I wanted. The only dialogue options available to make the story progress were *not* how I envisioned my actions. And I was not the only one to whom this happened. That was extremely frustrating. (And it was not the only frustrating thing) And the combat was very difficult for me, but I completely suck at strategy.

As s-he said Illathid's suggestion was to link the loot to our pledges, the loot list itself was mine Replacing names with descriptions could be better indeed, actually it would be a bit weird for pirates to know all the names of the people they robbed... Unless they have some sort of enquiry after each operation? "So, who are you and where do you come from? Is this your first pirate encounter? How would you rate our boarding technique?"

For me, the main limitation to "making people able to completely select the state of the world" is the fact that there are SO MANY decisions the Watcher can make in the first game. Not only the big ones, but also all the different quest resolutions that could very well have consequences in Deadfire. I don't think many people would want to read through an explanatory text and make dozens if not hundreds of choices before starting a new game. That would be incredibly annoying. So there will necessarily be stuff that would be "missing", but could still be present for people who imported a game. And another thing: what would be the point of importing a game if it didn't bring you any "story bonus", but only constraints? You could as well re-make a new character.
