I remember being on a British Army exercise. and weirdly enough we ended up watching Fox News. And there's every bastard there. There's ****s from Newcastle who hate ****s from Sunderland. And ther's ****s from Devon who hate ****s who understand electricity. And ****s from Jersey who hate ****s who aren't from Jersey... but everyone hates Fox.

Stats query - how many lepers 'til sainthood?
Walsingham replied to Walsingham's topic in Way Off-Topic
In your case, certainly. Lacking any concept of mathematics, or expected value. -
Fox news? FOX NEWS? One of the things I genuinely and rarely love about my country is that even people who read the Daily ****ing Mail is that they have nothing but contempt for Fox News.. And the thing is that I believe everyone knows this. You ****.

I was just thinking: how many people with a chronic illness would I have to lay hands on, before I would 'miraculously' cure at least three?

Spiced up some flour with coriander seed, pepper, fenugreek, allspice, and Maldon seasalt. Thoroughly coated lamb chops in the flour then fried them over a high heat until just going crispy. Deglazed the pan with a strong red wine. Served with simple lightly boiled veg. EDIT: I thought I'd made a mistake by undercooking the leeks - large chunks, pretty much just toasted in gravy at the last minute. But a sip of this barnstorming Southern Italian red wine and all is stormy perfection.

And who exposed the falsity of the WMD claim? The Western media. Remind me what happens to media outlets which contradict the Kremlin?
-
I don't suppose you've any evidence, or should I just trust you?

I note, for example, that Putin said categorically that no Russian troops were in Crimea. Then later said that 'of course' they were in Crimea. But you feel free to keep hopping along in Putin's shadow, mate. I'm sure it's a viable long term strategy and won't result in Russia economy suffering further chronic lack of investment, coupled with ludicrous divestment via a coterie of oligarchs. russia sells only two thingsthat the rest of the world wants: petrochems and weapons. It's a banana republic, without the weather.

Full disclosure: I now want some tripe to eat.

I am almost speechless. You're buying the idea that the Russian media, with provable direct ownership straight to Putin, is more trustworthy than Western media organisations with a long history of independence and multiple mechanisms for enforcing as much impartiality as possible... I guess what interests me is why you'd pick the former. Is it that you hate the latter and you'll choose any damn fool who is against NATO? Can I ask whether you also believed comical Ali? I'm genuinely curious.

I only 'liked ' it so the stupid bastard would eat more tripe.

Had some fantastic hot smoked haddock, eaten with cheap and nasty white rolls, and drank ice cold white port. Good contrast.

I can see what you mean. But isn't this symptomatic of most computerised functions these days. The user isn't - can't be - aware of all the things being done on their behalf, even if they had authority to change them. I reckon the way round it has to be the creation of an expert system or systems which act as seneschals that talk to the user and implement their overall guidance. The trouble is that introduce that functionality and immediately most people will ****ing opt for the cheapest, and that one will by definition be the least loyal to their interests.

Gangsters, Guns, and Zombies. It's a bad film. But - and I really hate people who excuse crap as ironic 'fun' - it's the good kind of bad. No original setting or theme, but acceptable actors, and a number of neat twists. I was about to list some, then I realised this might ruin your enjoyment when you find them yourselves.

My interest in the 'expanded universe' ended when Luke Skywalker cut his way into a ****ing mountain with his lightsaber and bare hands. What a ****.

Sorry, mate. I hate thumb-pads. But I'm surprised no-one else has chipped in.

I might disagree with Valsuelm about a lot of stuff, but I agree that the rules of keeping your crown jewel (PC) virus free are the same as keeping your family jewels virus free. Wear an anti-virus condom. But also only interact with partners you trust. And get checked regularly. I'm not sure what the rules are for dodgy software claiming to have put child porn on your PC. Personally I'd feel sorry for myself, then take the whole bloody thing out and burn it. ...Which beats your options if your family jewels get infected.

HP Lovecraft was an arse - EVERYONE ROLL FOR SAN LOSS!
Walsingham replied to Walsingham's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
It's a gift I have. Although I hate to say it but I usually only infuriate women that way. Typically when I'm being very respectful and/or busy I say something or text something and end up fleeing for my life. Sometimes to a different city. Merely being thrown out of a RP group is pretty mild by comparison. I noticed that you dodged the question, if you didn't want to answer it you should just have said so. I think you're going into the ignore list... Hold on. I think I did. It probably wasn't what I said. It was how I said it. Now you're saying that I'm too dumb to understand your posts, you're terrible. I think on reflection that perhaps _I'M_ too dumb to understand _your_ posts. You comedically misconstrued what I said...- 54 replies

Can't download DLC in Steam
Walsingham replied to Philtard777's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
If the files are small might they have downloaded when you weren't looking? Hope you can work this out. Keep us posted. -
Nice to see you cheering attempted murder, you bloodthirsty prick.
