  1. I for one am quite optimistic about this title.
  2. Britannia/Sosaria/Serpent Isle - Ultima Rokugan - L5R Shadowrun Post-Apoc Earth in Fallout Arcanum All really good canidates for futher games.
  3. Quite to the contrary, I think some of these games are so good that people are willing to pay every month to play them. The principle of a monthly fee seems outrageous to those who cannot afford it, but for the monthly fee, you get online play, unique experiences, you're paying for servers and bandwidth, gamemasters, support staff, patches, and new content. When you buy a single player game, you don't get any of that. SWG may suck, but the principle of paying per month is not as evil as people make it out to be. WoW is quite fun for instance. And back to the original question, I believe combat was completlely overhauled in that skill-tree based combat was replaced by a level-based system. Oddly, Sony was altering hte game to appease all the players who left and didn't like SWG. I don't think they're getting those players back. But by making the change, they are alienating the players who play SWG because they liked the system. SWG has to be the worst run major MMO I've ever seen.
  4. Have you played previous Burnout titles? Forza is the Gran Turismo killer in my opinion. Burnout isn't nearly as realistic, but is quite fun to play. Burnout fuels my destructive desires as well.
  5. Why does Microsoft Works not?
  6. Mike should be fired for selling T3.
  7. Maul actually tattoed his face.
  8. Her robes and lightsaber stance gave me the impression she would be like a Jedi/samurai cross-breed. Her character did greatly disappoint me.
  9. I interpreted that to mean that Vader and the Emperor knew the kids existed, and would hunt them down. The dialogue in ESB now implies what we learned in RotS, that Vader never knew his kids were born. On a tangent, when Baby Luke came out, I yelled "stop whining Luke!"
  10. I wouldn't mind seeing combat changed up a bit. I think Obsidian tried to offer more strategy options with more feats, more item customization, force forms, lightsaber forms, etc. However in the end, I never really needed to do anything other than Force Wave->Master Flurry.
  11. I think KOTOR had a better story than NWN, but people also overlook the poor dialogue in KOTOR and the total lack of character development.
  12. Why is that people who prefer KOTOR complain that in KOTOR they got to make their own character, but they didn't with the Exile? Last time I checked, you were led to believe you made your own character in KOTOR, only to eventually realize your past was written by a developer, just like in KOTOR:2.
  13. We got artwork showing her going at it in a saber duel with Nihilus. Yeah, that sure made it in the game.
  14. How do you relate KOTOR II to the Matrix? Color me lost.
  15. Yeppers. That's how I knew that Anakin would become Vader believing that Padme died before his kids were born.
  16. Atris really bugged me as a character. She was a b1tch, quite frankly. She was weak, frightened, and spat out bile for those that she secretly envied. Add to that she was delusional. Her revelation of corruption was poorly played out, and she was never really redeemed as a character. Luckily she was never the anchor to the story.
  17. Don't forget T3! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm all about the T3 lovin'. T3 is fully-functional.
  18. I got the named crystal on Dantooine.
  19. Atris isn't a woman of action, and I don't buy her escaping Katarr, or intentionally selling out the Jedi there. Atris hid on Telos because she has always been driven by fear. She wanted to follow the Exile, Revan and Malak, but she was afraid to. Furthermore, she is afraid to teach the ways of the Jedi, despite claiming to try and preserve such knowledge. It is her emotions that allowed her to be corrupted by the Sith artifacts.
  20. That's not a slipup per se. Leia remembers the person she beleived to be her mother, just as she believed Bail Organa to be her father. Luke assumes the woman that raised Leia is his mother, and he is mistaken.
  21. You're not talking about a minor tweak. With Fable you took chunks of experience and bought strength based, magic based, and skill based abilities. KOTOR is level based. You don't buy one ability at a time. Level based systems are completely different from point-based systems. The rules mechanics would have to be greatly altered.
  22. For the record, XBox 360 games are coming out in November, and there are completed engines ready for the 360. I don't think a 360 game would take a whole lot longer than an XBox game at this point. Kotor III on the 360 would convince me to buy the 360.
  23. I think the prequel idea has merit, but the story of the the first two games needs closure first.
  24. I don't think it's possible to get your saber on Telos. From what I've been told, Nar Shadda offers the quickest path to getting your saber.
