  1. I wish there were an emoticon for biting my tongue.
  2. I think Warren Buffet would suggest that everyone play Ultima VII at some point in their life.

  4. I ran AD&D for about 3 years in junior high. I ran 3E briefly to give it a try.
  5. Warren Buffet is the second richest man in the world, and lives right here in Omaha. He drives a Nissan and can be seen mowing his own lawn. He is a unique sort.
  6. Rolling dice do not make a character. Perhaps you have a different definition of role-playing. Perhaps you ROLL-PLAY.
  7. Warren Buffet says the same thing actually.
  8. Someone cast Topic Ressurection apparently.
  9.
  10. Oddly enough I believe the second one is the XBox verison.
  11. Thanks for the info. I'm sure KOTOR:3 will happen, and it appears they were trying to develop it internally last September which saddens me. I haven't like internally developed LucasArts titles in while, but then again I haven't played Gladius or Mercaneries.
  12. I've found it seems most players retire at the end of a season when they are banged up and convinced they can't do it again rather than at the beginning of a season when they think they have one more shot to win.
  13. If the core rules need fixing with a boat-load of optional rules either in new books, or house-rules, then it is not a good system. I'm not going to argue that your home-made system doesn't work for want you want. I will argue that both AD&D and 3E fall flat of being good systems.
  14. Given last year's would-be-economy I might consider signing him for one year at 3 mil again. Is he still in shape? How did he spend the year off? Does he want a long-term contract? I'd need to know those things if I were to decide to take him back.
  15. I think when you want to, you cast logic aside and stonewall people. I also like to believe you don't do this out of ignorance, but as a trolling tactic for personal enjoyment. Knowing this, the tactic doesn't bother me most of the time. Here you are displaying sound logic. You've got a valid point. The ending was not good, and even defenders of the game must admit that.
  16. Anyone know off hand how much he is making?
  17. If you don't have a good concept for what to create, you're going to have a problem in any game. When I teach people how to create characers, I walk through the process of concepts before rules. Maybe that's your problem.
  18. For once I won't argue with Volourn's logic. :darque:
  19. See above post. The shareware industry tried it for years with limited success. Digital Tome (the publishers behind Siege of Avalon) tried it with poor success.
  20. In reporting posts directly to the mods I got no response. That is why I made a public thread. I've waited over a week for a response directly from a mod. I did try that avenue first, respectfully. I also really like Finoavar. I think he a very polite and supportive guy. I do meet to criticize him, but merely ask a question or two.
  21. I have had threads deleted that I started in Way Off Topic before anyone even responded. And just for a random example, the Ask Ender advice thread was deleted not because it was off-topic, but because a seperate thread started by another user was Bioware-Bashing, but it was called Ask Karzak. Therefore, all advice threads had to go. I was told that advice threads were now considered spam. What topics themselves are considered spam inherently and what aren't in Way Off Topic? And shouldn't people have more rein for Way Off Topic posts in Way Off Topic?
  22. Siege of Avalon was sold in episodic game format, and it bombed. Shareware also tried episodic format. Usually 3 episodes or 6 episodes constituted a full game, and you could buy individual episodes, or the whole thing. Now the game is being released free, as open-source.
  23. I'm just trying to hold you accountable to your statements, which you refuse to own up to. Why should I be held accountable to my decision to largely ignore you (which I do most of the time) when you don't own up to your supposed claims of objectiivity?
  24. Overall KOTOR:2 was really easy, but there were a couple difficult fights were I had to reload. I never had to reload in Jade Empire, and I didn't use Jade Golem. I mainly just used Legendary Strike or my sword. Jade Empire's ending was simple and predictable. I wouldn't call it terrible. KOTOR:2's ending wasn't finished, but could have been quite good.
  25. Hrm, announced as a multiplatform title, released on multiple platforms at the exact same time, and sells the most copies on the PS2. Surely that is an XBox title. http://gamecube.gamezone.com/gamesell/screens/s21978_1.htm http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/splinte...creenindex.html http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/splint...creenindex.html The game looks largely the same on all three platforms. If the game was designed to shine on the XBox, how come it is not really outshining the other platforms. It looks "slightly" better on the XBox, and you're own example really deflates your arguement. The following two screenshots are almost identical and make a really good comparison between the PS2 (supposedly worst) and XBox (best) versions. http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/...8_screen004.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/...8_screen002.jpg
