Where are you, man? Hope I'm not writing into a dead man's account here :/

  9. Bauhaus - In the flat field
  10. You can't quantify this. The hotter, the shorter the lifespan, yes. But some chips do not care if they're getting above 100
  11. Another cool surprise (cool in temperature, not performance) for low budget gamers: The geForce 9600GSO+. While the 9600 GT and GSO offered great speed for the money, the new 9600 GSO+ is a strange breed (of evil). It has only 56% of the computing power of a 9600 GSO, but offers 60% more memory bandwith. Because the 9600 GSO wasn't limited by memory bandwith, this is a really strange move, as is calling it "GSO+", and we should expect some serious performance drops compared to the old 9600 GSO caused by the less than halfed computation speed.
  12. Amazon said they'll send it on the way in three days :D

    ghosts

You're writing. We're trying to understand it. Semantics. Also, stating not to disbelieve is the same as belief is a rather weird semantic. What's not white is black or what? Man, why are you so keen on breaking this topic? Just because you think ghosts == rubbish, people willing to give it some more thought than you care to invest must not continue to do so? That is the case, and this should be clear to you especially as you're the one trying (not very successfully) to use the science club to beat people to silence... To deem everything impossible which you do not have a positive proof for is not scientific at all. And don't come telling us now that in this matter you don't think in terms of black and white...
  15. Theatre Of Tragedy - Let You Down Fun, but I thought they were some kind of metal?

    ghosts

Haha Some great posts here! That is a problem. However, discoveries have been made while looking for something totally different or nothing at all. Take america for example, post-it or x-rays. So, it's not wrong to assume something, equip for that and well, do the research With ghosts there's the additional problem that most probably no one seriously considers this to be a possible source of money*, progress or whatnot, so serious research in this (or any 'paranormal') field is rare if existant at all. We can only hope for amatures to make an accidental discovery. *exceptions: tv shows, estate agents for old spook mansions

    ghosts

The most believable explanation of ghost phenomena I heard so far, was the one with infra sound. It can cause all kinds of visual and audible effects due to "interpretation errors" of the brain (or is it the resonance of eyes / mid-ear that really causes it? I don't remember ) The effects are increased by the fear induced by very low noise. It would also explain why old houses, castles and dungeons are the place for ghosts, and why also non-believers can suddenly become convinced they exist (because yes, they can, I know it first hand). If ghosts were any kind of... life, then I would be strongly against trying to break them just to proof them - a typical human approach that yes, Walsingham, in my opinion is much too violent and would cause nothing but greif for all those involved: Ghosts would suffer, humans would likely be haunted or cursed or whatever, if ghosts were any kind of life similar to what is attributed to them.
  21. More work on the robot - got the movement phases implemented. Now it only has to move in a sensible way Currently drowning in music - the only drug I need. But oh how I need it...
  22. What you do is accusating a team of modders of hijacking. You suggest, no: explicitly state they are doing a criminal act. You also suggest, no: explicitly state that the do this as a means to the end of becoming famous. So to answer the final question in your post: If someone in a criminal act would bring themselves into property of my work and if this someone would do it to become famous - yes, I'd be angered and I'd be in the position to report this person to the jurisdiction. This, however, is in no shape or way the case with KOTOR2 and TG. As a consequence, I'm doing the same to you now for severe accusation of a non present party without factual evidence.
  23. Hm, she'll recover We just got tickets for the Opeth gig next month
  24. Shove off, please, you're being annoying. If you don't care, go don't caring on your own. No need to hijack this thread - make your own: "Why TG are unimportant" or something like that, so neither I nor other people who are looking forward to a release of TG's mod must bother reading your posts. Thanks. racofer: Yeah, god save your h and a keys.
