ATI/KOTOR Driver Question
In fact, any sweeper / driver cleaner... programs are not recommended. A normal uninstal for the driver works just fine. Who's LF by the way? I do have an ATI card, but no KOTOR currently installed, so I'm not much help on the real issue here, but I can still guess what can solve it The most recent driver is 8.10, but seeing your graphics card, you'd probably need the special AGP-Hotfix. See here for more details: Link to AMD's Customer Care. It states that after 8.2 it's safe to use the normal Catalysts again for your graphics card.

Personal reactor in five years
Oh yes, how long have I been waiting to have my own radiation source in the backyard! It'll produce all kinds of interestingly mutated specimen for the avid hobby insect researcher as a free sideeffect! Hoorray :D

New Rig
Not really - benchmarks as well as other indicators (pixed fill rate, bandwidth, etc.) show them to be behind top-end NVIDIA mobile cards. 4xxx series might correct that, but hopefully it won't turn into vaporware. Remember that the 3850/3870 have been released many months ago, but they were basically vaporware until a couple of weeks ago - no laptops were available that had them. Even now, only very few laptops have them. Given that, who knows how long it will take for the 48xx series to actually appear in notebooks. Hopefully, it will be faster than the 38xx series. What top-end cards? The 9800m gtx et al? Sure! 9600m GT or less? Certainly not However, all of the higher end mobile graphics cards are actually not good for the whole notebook-idea of portability etc., as they simply use so much power they can't run at full speed for very long when the notebook isn't connected to a wall socket... So yes, they aren't widely used.

In terms of volume, they are leading for laptops (if you count the cr**** Intel integrated graphics out), but they're giving way, not least because of the high faliure rate caused by low quality soldering material (?). In terms of speed, the 3850/3870 are more than just as fast as their counterparts, and 4xxx-series are coming up.

Does this sound right to you?
@Laputa. "no va" (Spanish) = doesn't go - although it's pronounced differently from "nova". Still an example of why it's worth investigating how some word sounds like in an other language.

Does this sound right to you?
the german accent sounds very, very bad indeed to my poor ears, almost as bad as the swiss... I think it's a very good idea to ask around first, to avoid ending up with something like the Mitsubishi Pajero, Ford Nova etc.

Suggestions for NWN2 NX3
Afair, TOB came out with the 3rd edition already having been published. So why not another addon on an older franchise, when it will probably still generate some licensing money? But actually, I also think that Storm of Zehir will be the last addon to NWN2.

Movies you have seen recently
Oh yes, this was great The jokes in this series are really good, while they can make the viewer take it a lot less serious - otoh, which sci fi series where the main party always ends up smuggling cows or dueling with swords or saving a "witch" from being burnt can take itself serious?

Prey. With headphones and an X-Fi preferrably. Kind of innovative while being traditional enough not to feel lost.

Not a movie, but watching Firefly episodes. They're good. Real good. A shame a) it's not continued b) they (so far, I'm at episode 5) have only used country music instead of doin' it spaghetti western style.

Hell, how blind I am, didn't look at the date and just nitpicked away Doesn't get in the way? When I was a kid and my dad kissed me good night, it was always scratching my cheeks, and I usually kiss not as innocently as a father kisses his child, so I figured...

Didn't you start such a thread last year or the year before that already? Anyway, I'm never gonna let facial hair get in the way of kisses or food or other stuff one does with one's face, so no thanks

What you did today
I see. That's interesting, and thanks for pointing it out! How come? I'll have to be careful with the word 'liberal' then when talking with US Americans about politcs (which does happen every now and then, my girlfriend's father coming from California).

What you did today
Politics are incredibly differnent in the US it seems. In my political environment, this combination would seem like a contradiction (except if "liberal" means socially liberal, and even then it wouldn't really fit). I have some incredibly productive days behind me now, and still two of them to go. I certainly hope I'm not totally burnt out by then...
