  1. Maybe hearing Obsidian was going to work on an armored tank game pushed him over the edge.
  2. Yeah, it's difficult to give accurate advice without knowing what system you're playing on, what difficulty level you're playing at (not sure if this one makes a difference), etc.?
  3. I always chuckle when the quirky AI continues on with its "routine" even in awkward situations. It's the middle of the night in New Vegas, so everyone is in their bunk. I wake up one of the NCR captains to complete a quest. He then asks me to escort him to arrest some guy, so we trek across the compound and entire a building, where the NCR captain promptly shoots the guy. But hey, because it's the middle of the night and the AI is "coded" to sleep during this time, he simply calmly climbs into the bed the guy he just shot was sleeping in, and goes to sleep with the body of the dead guy right beside him.
  4. I didn't think I'd enjoy The Stick of Truth, but ended up loving it. So maybe this game will end up being the same. Though at least the Stick of Truth was somewhat close to the type of game I like (RPG-like). This one ... hmm..
  5. Playing through FONV again. Love the game, but I don't get how folks who replay it keep talking about how they're stumbling across new things they didn't see in previous play throughs. Literally everything I come across, I've seen before. *shrugs*
  6. Do MMO's like that really make a lot of money? Honestly curious. I understand wanting a constant revenue stream. I just didn't realize that these kinds of free-to-play-other-than-microtransaction games made that kind of coin.
  7. I'm on a bit of an Obsidian binge right now. Finished Stick of Truth the other night, decided to replay New Vegas tonight. Ironically, it was between New Vegas and Dungeon Siege III. I chose NV because I was more in a sandbox style mood.
  8. I hope it sells well, both because I want a sequel and because I want to see Obsidian flourish.
  9. Yeah, besides from everything else they did well, I think Obsidian deserves major credit for nailing the "atmosphere" of South Park. It really feels like you're playing an interactive episode of the actual show.
  10. Finished my second play through of Stick of Truth; first time as a Jew, second time as a thief. Taking a break before trying the other two classes. Probably going back to playing Dishonored's DLC.
  11. This ranks up there with the biggest reasons I have a difficult time attempting to replay DAO. It's like playing multiple hours of un-skippable prologue until you actually reach the point where you have some freedom (Lothering) to do something.
  12. Is it something to do with the difficulty level? Playing on the lowest difficulty level my first time through, I had zero issue with the part everyone is complaining about. And I'm hardly the most dextrous individual around when it comes to button mashing.
  13. Not sure why people keep thinking the game needs to be longer. It was around the perfect length for the story they wanted to tell.
  14. I should have realized there'd be something later on, though. Because when you click on the dialogue icon to talk to that cop who gives you the quest later on, he says something to the effect of "I've got nothing for you at the moment..", suggesting he will at some point. I just didn't bother checking back since I'd already cleaned out the police station of all loot prior to the point when the quest becomes available.
  15. Get some sleep. You'll still be doomed for eternity when you wake up tomorrow.
  16. Found them all. I missed out on the Zombie Bounty quest (and subsequent friend request upon completion) my first time around.
  17. So is it CoD with Mechs? Or is there more to it than that simplistic description?
  18. The forest critters were the biggest group of friends I was missing.
  19. I'm almost done my second play through, and each time I've missed out on having the maximum number of friends. The best I've been able to do is 102 friends. I could understand missing this by about 1 or 2 characters, but I'm missing almost 20 friends despite the fact I've done all the main and side quests, and gone inside all the buildings you're able to go inside. I just can't seem to find these extra friends. Has anyone been able to max this out yet?
  20. Not entirely positive, but some of the quests for Jimbo can't be completed until you reach a certain point in the main story quest. The most obvious one is the Canadian Spider, but I think one of the sewer ones (the **** mouse) is also only reachable at a certain point.
  21. This particular fart training was the most annoying one in the entire game. Particularly because when you actually use the fart in the game, it's nowhere near as awkward as the controls are during the tutorial.
  22. The sneaky fart ability is the most annoying one to learn during the tutorial.
  23. That's exactly what happened to me on my first play through. I ended up with 29 out of 30 of them, missing one you can only get during a story mission.
  24. The Hoff? I require a screenshot. I'm playing on the XBox360, so I'm not sure I can even do that? Maybe one of the PC folks could. You can get "The Hoff" at Tom's Rhinoplasty with the 360 version as well. It's really funny when various women around town tell you that can have their body any time you want David Hasselhoff. I think he meant he doesn't know how to do a screenshot with a 360 or if it's even possible. This. I'd mentioned a page or two back that I was running around town with Hasselhoff's head.
