Decided to play Defiance. I'm still getting the hang of it. Random people seem to be dropping in on my game, even though I'm just on the tutorial part.
-
I've never experienced that in my life as a 360 player. It literally took an hour and a half to install/download/patch/optimize when I first put the game in the disk tray and loaded it up before I could even start playing.
-
Not sure which to play next. These are on my gaming shelf that I haven't touched yet: -Batman: Arkham Asylum -Tomb Raider -Defiance -Assassin's Creed III -Dragons Dogma

Matt and Trey on SP:TSOT
GhostofAnakin replied to C2B's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
I'd say everything will depend on how it does sales-wise. The decisions could change regarding DLC, future sequels, etc., if the game sells through the roof. -
That trailer actually looks good.

What role does he have in this game? He's a writer (and has been for a long time). He'll deal with the general plot and characters and so forth, but if you want to rage up on someone for overall design issues, Mike is probably a better person to be all ragey (although even then he's more "Creative Director" now. I actually don't know if the lead designer is even much of a public facing figure <.<) Keep in mind I'm one of the few on here who liked Dragon Age 2, despite not being a fan of some of the decisions (for instance, the aforementioned railroading in the final chapter). So you likely won't find me raging. Not unless you guys pull a Mass Effect 3 style ending.
-
But they always say that and fail. With Gaider going so far as to pretty much reject that idea publicly. Dragon Age 2 was my story ... until they railroaded me in Chapter 3 and forced their story onto me no matter what choices I made.

Risen 2 is pretty fun, if a bit shallow and bad graphically.

The (hopefully) attractive women thread.

Where's the uproar about the boob plate?!? The woman who voiced Elizabeth from BioShock Infinite is quite pretty. Courtney Draper, or something like that.- 610 replies

Finished BioShock 2 and the DLC mission Minerva's Den. After finishing the story, I found I liked it overall as much as BioShock 1, which wasn't my impression early on. Still ranks behind Infinite in the BioShock series.

Grey Wardens. Anderfels, or something. Weisskaupt Fortress. I probably butchered the spelling of 70% of the above.

With the absolutely glowing reviews of Tomb Raider in this thread, I guess that's next on my play list.

A big part of the player experience this time around will be the option to grow a vegetable garden, found in the "Agriculture" skill tree after reaching a certain level.

I ... read your post as saying you play the PC version. Oops. I have no idea about this recruit thing you refer to.

I still haven't gotten around to any of the Skyrim DLCs. My issue was I'd finished playing the core game well before any of the expansions/DLC were released, and I didn't really want to go back to it after I'd finished it. This tends to be my issue with a lot of games. Unless I feel it has replay value, I'll never actually get around to playing the DLC associated with it since by the time the DLC is released, I'm well past caring about the game. Though with very few games I'm looking forward to in the next few months, I might actually go back to Skyrim and try out the DLCs.

Tight deadlines and release dates seem to be the cause of bug-related issues for Obsidian. Given that this game, while having an unofficial release date, is basically a "it's done when it's done" type deal, I don't think you'll see the same issues crop up. Not to mention, since this game is "self-funded" so to speak, and no publisher that has the ultimate say, Obsidian can probably provide prompt fixes for any issues that do crop up. They won't have to wait for their publisher to give them permission to patch and what not, like they normally would have to.

Best Buy had a sale on Defiance for the 360, so I ended up getting it. These sales are addictive. I end up buying games that I'm only remotely interested in as long as they convince me I'm saving $20 or so on them.

Well that kind of sucks for timing.

Book Request: Books that are like ...
GhostofAnakin replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Way Off-Topic
So far, the first book is pretty close to what I was looking for. Thanks to the person who suggested the series. -
Ready Lady Crimson's review of it, I'm tempted to pick up Tiny Tina's DLC. My buddy wants to play through BL2 co-op anyway, so this could be the excuse I need to download it.

Nearing the end of BioShock 2. It's ... less interesting than BioShock 1 and Infinite. The story seems more like an expansion pack type story, rather than a full fledged new game.
-
Achievement-wise, that's why I never manage to unlock the "beat all side missions" achievements for BL and BL2. I hate the ones that require any sort of racing or fast driving with the vehicles, so I end up not finishing them.

No, I had just received one of said phone calls where the person wanted to do something at that very moment he called, but I didn't see the message until much later that night. So it just got me to wondering what other people would do in that sort of situation. More of a curiosity thing.
-
When someone calls you and leaves a message on your machine, do you always return the phone call when you see the message or does it depend on the message? In regards to the latter, would you return the call if the caller explicitly states they're calling wondering if you want to do something RIGHT THEN? For instance, if a friend calls to ask you if he and his kids can come over for a swim THIS AFTERNOON, but you don't see the message until much later that night or even the next day, do you still call him back as soon as you see the message? Or do you wait until the next time you're talking to him and just mention in passing, "sorry about not getting back to you the other day, but ..."? Assuming you have caller ID, if someone calls but does not leave a message, do you call them back to see what they want? Or do you figure it wasn't important since they didn't leave a message and not bother?
