  1. Yeah, plus all the arguments and discussions over the issue were quite entertaining. A very good break from the wild speculation that usually goes on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was the only reason why I tried to keep it going as much as possible. I am such a naughty naughty boy. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Plus we had to see how far Servant of Eru really would go.

  3. Thanks for commenting Feargus. Perhaps this will cool off all of the craziness that has been all over these boards.
  4. A Sith Lord who can actually kick your ass. You can't win every time...
  5. Yeah, sometimes I like two of em at the same time as well.
  6. And his secret power would be to laugh us all to the bank.
  7. I would like it to be a new and unique character, but if it was a connection to a minor character in the first game like one of the dantooin masters, I think that would be cool too.
  8. You are probably right, but wouldn't it make you feel a little bit better if you did send something?
  9. I just browsed over some of this thread, and I realized something. This is nuts. You guys are putting too much energy into negative responses on a message board that won't get your opinions to the right people. Instead of bitching about the situation over and over and over, write an educated letter to LucasArts telling them how you feel. If enough people do this, then perhaps something will be done. Keep in mind that the letter needs to be educated, no swearing or irrational threats. I know someone has suggested this before, but it doesn't seem to have gotten through.
  10. I think it is more likely that he had things to do this weekend, instead of him saying it just to be an ass.
  11. Mock me if you must. But I will not buy anything made by Lucasarts for a full year. Infact, I'll even extend that to Lucasfilm products. (Not that they make anything I want these days anyway. ) All of you whining PC gamers bitching about how Lucasarts has given you the shaft once again, PUT YOUR BOGDAMN MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS!!! If you limpwristed pansies don't even have the willpower not to buy the games of one company for one measly year of your lives, quite frankly, I'm ashamed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll tell you what right now I am kind of already sick of this game. I have been watching these boards since like may and the game seems like it is going to be a chore to finish. Like it will be something I have to do because I have followed the development instead of something I want to do because I enjoy Star Wars and was completely blown away by the first game. So, by February, or maybe even earlier like December I might be so sick of this that I might wait until the summer time when the game is 19.99 instead of 50 bucks to buy it. I understand the point you are trying to make. LucasArts sees us as a sure thing, and the only way to get them to listen is to make them question our status as a sure thing.
  12. I kinda sat back and watched Carth kill him in one of my playthroughs. It would be wild if he came back from the dead.
  13. Servant of Eru, if I buy two PC copies, does that mean I will offset your boycott?
  14. It would be good for LA too because as people did with KotOR, the Xbox folk would buy it on PC to get all the cool things.
  15. Unfortunately, when the choices are ethics or revenue, revenue wins. We should be thankful that the game hasn't been delayed. It just happens to be that the X-Box was finished first since, as Akari stated, they received the code for the X-Box before the PC.
  16. Christmas is a good enough reason. I work in retail and trust me during the holiday season, people buy things that they wouldn't normally buy the rest of the year. If you had children or grandchildren that owned an X-Box and don't normally buy games, what time of the year are you going to buy a game for the child? Christmas and Birthday. Christmas is the same time of year for everyone, so it is as close as it gets to a sure thing.
  17. I agree. Although I think the difference may be that the XBox version sells for, what, close to $80 per game? PC versions can be had for $49.99. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the X-Box price is the same. I am not 100% sure though.
  18. And I bet all of them are able to play games too. Like Dark was saying, there are way more people worldwide that have PC's that can play this game
  19. I know it isn't really relevant, but do the ones that don't have an X-Box have a PS2 or Gamecube instead?
  20. He also did it against one of the Vong too, but he actually did impale the Vong.
  21. Am I crazy, or was this thread deleted or locked last night?
  22. I've very curious what the heck these numbers you're quoting are. I can't think of anything that comes anywhere near these (except the population of the planet, which is greater than 3 billion). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> America's population is about 300 million taking into account mormonism, if each houshold has an xbox owner your looking at 50-60 million people who actually own and play an xbox. I could be wrong, of course, but its only common sense. The world's population is over 3b, yes, in fact its over 6 billion (before you tell ME to get MY facts straight) Around half of them probably own an xbox, again, I could be wrong, but the point was that u get the idea right? there are, in fact, other places in the world than America, and that America isn't even the world's largest country, therefore giving KOTOR2 early to a small percentage is unfair on the rest of us. Darth Sirius, i couldn't agree with you more. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But, if you were selling a product and wanted to make the most amount of money possible, but were only able to sell it in one country where would you release it? The US gives LA the most potential to earn money, so that is most likely why LA will release it there first. Craftsman: Shelving the Xbox version would have a huge opportunity cost. As has been stated before in this thread, game sales in the holiday season are extremely high and it would be wise for LA to take advantage of that. From a business point of view, the seperate release is a great idea, but from a PC gamer's point of view, it sucks. We will just have to deal with it.
  23. I bet a lot of people here think not buying the game for a week or two just to show LA that we do play a part in the process is a great idea, but how many of us will actually do that? Plus, most if not all of the people posting here will be buying the game eventually, so LA wins in the end anywho. Us PC gamers just have to suck it up and wait. I will have a two month break from the boards when the game is released in December, and will not return until I have finished the game to avoid spoilers.
  24. hey you forgot to mention the gold credit card with a $10,000.00 limit that ships with the game, that way the rest of us can to afford such a computer. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or at least pretend you can afford it until the bill comes at the end of the month. Eddo, my computer cost less than 1000* and it runs KotOR perfectly. I call it Newegg.com. *Monitor not included
