  1. Morgan Freeman is a little too old to be playing Jolee in his twenties don't you think? lol Grab Samuel L Jackson and throw some hair on his head and make him look a little younger.
  2. LS & DS can easily be discussed through a simple conversation in the early game. As you did with Atton in K2 about Revan. Same with gender. Appearence is an issue however that you can't simply talk about. Revan always appears in that cave regardless of a savegame or not.
  3. That's where I think people get the misconception. You don't need them to walk up to you in the flesh and blood and spoon feed you everything they know. As previously stated my alternative was to have them communicate with you through the force. This way Revan or the Exile are still around, and still play a role. But the developer's would not need to go through the hassle of bringing back the previous characters as you had them. You could easily go on a quest where you find a path of clues that both characters may have left behind for you to find (or something similar to that effect), and you would never have to see them. Thus you will have gathered all of the knowledge they would have discovered, and perhaps find closure to their ventures into the UR without ever having to interact with them. That IMO is the best solution.
  4. It's plausibale to use Revan in his/her robes. But then what storyline purpose would he/she serve? My opinion is that any talented writer can write an excellent storyline without actually interacting with either PC from previous games. The save game thing could work, but you also have to consider if you have the previous games, or previous savegames for that matter. Otherwise the game would have to go ahead and create a default version. Another thing you have to consider is if K3 is in development, it's probably being built on a new engine. Which makes the idea of loading previous game data difficult.
  5. What this? That's exactly what I'm talking about that makes the idea of redesigning Revan and/or the Exile at the start impractical.
  6. Nope... there's good reason for that. They were your PC's, how do you expect to bring back your own personalized PC without canonizing his/her appearence. The "Remake Revan and Exile before game starts idea" does not make any sense. A player who has never played K1 or K2 is going to be like WTF is this? And if you had played the previous games then you're pretty much going to know that they make an appearence again, which would give up a good piece of the story. I'd prefer if they died. Or... my alternative would be to have one of them communicate with your PC through the force. It's just too much of a hassle trying to bring a character you customized back.
  7. I like the concept. Though I don't think an LS PC should be more powerful in lightsaber forms or anything like that. Sidious wasn't all that great with the lightsaber anyhow. But if you look at it, Count Dooku faired well against Yoda with the lightsaber. My opinion is that the LS and DS should have implications in terms of story. Say for instance your romance option has fallen ill, and the only way to heal her/him is by seeking the help of a powerful Sith Lord who may know the power to do so (yea I'm lacking the imagination dept.) If you're DS you are not likely to make too many companions for obvious reasons. Even DS based companions are likely to try and kill a DS PC. Like Yoda says, the DS should only lead to suffering. So perhaps if you do care about things on the DS you may end up losing it all, and might undergo some sort of "zombification" of sorts typical with dark lords. If you're just some genocidal maniac without any allies, perhaps in the end you end up being killed or something. For the LS, the DS should be much more seductive in a manner of speaking. Perhaps some arrogant political person is trying to become the chancellor of the Republic. However chances are he may go about hunting the Jedi to put an end to "The Force". It comes down to doing little evil for a greater good, believing you are doing so for the Republic. Or you can go with how Anakin fell to the DS, in using one of your romances as leverage to bring you to the darkside.
  8. If the Ebon Hawk should return, various new things to it would be welcome. Perhaps new interior walls painted in a grey/white tone. Shields, cloaks etc. that have to be adjusted, repaired used time to time during missions and what have you. Various robes. I don't like going around in the bulky robes seen mostly in the movies. I actually liked the robes from K1 a bit better. What would be nice would be the ability to personalize your robe. I don't mean customize, but the ability to make it look unique. Like Bastila had her own robes, Juhani had hers etc. Although they were simple garments in game they were still robes. Along with that, various forms of Jedi Armor are welcome too. I know they were introduced in K2, but most of them were kind of... ugly IMO. A good reference to get an idea. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_apparel Raise the power on blasters. It makes non-jedi characters virtually useless when blasters do so little damage. No affiliation with the Jedi, Sith or Republic or any other major faction for that matter. I personally dislike starting the game at the new Jedi Academy or something, it's more interesting if you actually choose to go into the Jedi Academy or Sith Academy depending on your alignment during the early course of the game. Or if you don't like either, you can choose to go off on your own without associating with either side. Lightsaber forms with actual different battle animations. Thats pretty self-explanatory. Unpredictable NPCs. It's odd if you're playing the Dark Side and you go about killing innocent people that you're lightside companions just sit there and say "Why!". They should be obliged to attack you there and then not at the end of the game. It would be interesting if NPCs actually tried to betray you or something. Perhaps some will leave your party for personal reasons or others will die defending you or something. Influence should also play a large role in whether or not companions will betray, defect to another cause/alignment, leave, die or remain loayal to you as well. Multiple endings. Not just two, not just three but many depending on how you play the game. If you're a self-less indivdual, how about the ability to sacrifice yourself for the greater good. If you're greedy and desire power you may end up with a good deal of just that. If you don't want to be a renowned hero or villan you can simply defeat the final boss and just go off on your own, never to be heard of again. If you're doing it all for the love of the Republic or Jedi, then you come out a galactic hero or something. You get the idea. :D
  9. I think someone put it quite nicely before. Revan is like a superman template. It would be like putting the signature "S" on your chest and saving the world. The Exile as someone else said is more of your character. I felt tricked by the little plot twist in K1. What was the point of giving the character my name and all if I'm actually some other guy. I think another reason why people dislike the Exile is the fact that you're not fighting to save the galaxy, or become some famous hero or conquer the galaxy. You're an ordinary (well not really) person troubled by the Mandalorian Wars. You go to search for answers regarding your your myterious abilities and this being a "wound in the force" deal. The Exile is about you without actually making up everything about your past. You have to imagine that yourself. I think because of that difference you can't really go about and refer to the Exile in third person because it's you who determines the personality, alignment and other charateristics of the Exile. It's like saying Revan is better than yourself, it's just odd trying to compare the protagonists from that perspective. It's complicated really, but that's my opinion.
  10. We already know this. As someone implied already... the sith species were pretty much a weak, primitive race they would not fit the description of Kreia's "True Sith". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if weak and primitive is able to nearly break the republic I'd hate to see strong and advanced. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh? The original Sith species never even knew of the Republic until after the Dark Jedi (like Xard mentioned) were exiled there. It was only when two Republic explorers came to Korriban that the Great Hyperspace War started. By then most of the original were intermixed with the human dark jedi.
  11. We already know this. As someone implied already... the sith species were pretty much a weak, primitive race they would not fit the description of Kreia's "True Sith".
  12. Those are the native sith species. In the current SW universe thats where the name comes from as well when the Dark Jedi conquered them. However the game clearly refers to the True Sith as an entity much more powerful than the race once lived on Korriban. Otherwise it logically does not make any sense as to why a primitive and extinct race would present such a threat. I would question where did the original Sith species of Korriban get their name from? I think the True Sith may have been their predecessors or ancestors of sorts. Of course this is pure speculation.
  13. My theory is that perhaps the "True Sith" were around in the pre-republic era. Though they may originate from another galaxy in the UR, they probably came to the known universe for a short time conquering worlds like Korriban and Malachor V, but may have been driven off by the Rakatan. Perhaps it was the True Sith who plagued the Rakatan before they left.
  14. "True Sith" is a term probably loosely thrown around for the enemy in the UR. The native Sith species of Korriban are pretty much dead, they integrated with the Dark Jedi and all of that non-sense. My opinon is that this enemy is just a group of Dark Side users who might have been around during the Pre-Republic era. They may have conquered worlds and all of that good stuff. Now perhaps the Rakatan or Celestials or any other pre-republic empire maybe drove off these "True Sith" away from the known galaxy. The native Sith of Korriban could have been descendants of the "True Sith", or perhaps were conquered by the True Sith and took the title as their own. Who knows... buts thats my theory on it.
  15. Well said. Though I do not believe the Mandalorians are going to be a major force as they were in the Mandalorian Wars. Though at this point Canderous' efforts in reuniting the clans have made the Mandalorians a small but potent force. The Mandalorians are more of a "Ranger" type of force in my mind. As Kreia says though, Mandalore has many battles left in him, and I'm sure the Mandalorians will have their glory once again. Another faction I'd like to point out that alot of people seem to forget, the Exchange. With a shaken Republic & Jedi Order its easier for criminal organizations to take power. It becomes easier to corrupt politics, control citizens through fear and all of that good stuff.
  16. I have to go with neither. The events of K1 & K2 have left the Jedi Order, Sith Order and the Republic in shambles. I think the only faction at this point that may hold a firm grip of power would be the Exchange. The economic stability of the Republic makes it easier for criminal/underworld organizations to gain power. Look at the Mafia after WW2, they nearly controlled all of Italy for 30 or more years. At this point the galaxy is probably under a "rebuilding" phase.
  17. I sort of liked the plot behind K2 better than K1. Knights of the old Republic puts you in the midst of a war between Jedi & Sith, and somehow you manage to make a daring escape from what was a slaughter, and end up saving the galaxy (or retaking your empire). Although the game maintained a very climatic feel to it, its sort of cliched in a sense. K2 on the other hand is a bit more subtle among the SW universe. In K2 your simply traveling the galaxy trying to uncover the mysteries behind your character and that of your party members. Your not there to save the galaxy, or reincarnate the legendary Sith Empire and claim the title Dark Lord. I think thats one thing alot of people don't like about K2. I'll admit I wish alot of the cut content made it into the final product, it would made much more sense and a far better game.
  18. Davik Reminded me of the good ole Mafia Ganters. No but seriously I'd go for Darth Malak. The classic bad guy theme that you don't see too much. Not to mention Darth Malak had alot of depth to him (Second to Kreia though) being as how Revan and Malak had a history with each other. BTW what the hell ever happened to Malak's mouth?
  19. I had project entropia a while back. But you become too dependent on cash. Everytime I wsa hunting I was just hoping for that HOF loot. Never got one, and soon I just flat out quited. But right now I love playing CS: Source. And I'm so anxious to get my hands on BF2
  20. Omg... what a disturbing poll/thread. But IMO I think Topaz and a Bith would make a good couple.
  21. The orginal KOTOR had a classic theme of storyline to it. taking place during the midst of the Jedi Civil War and fighting all the way from the streets of Taris to the final confrontation with Darth Malak. Not that the TSL was bad. I personally liked the Exile's character more than Revan. The Exile had a much more mysterious past than Revan. The Exile had seen war at the frontlines under Revan's command. You could also say that the Exile was much more powerful than Revan, given the Exile's amount of powers he/she can obtain. Either way both characters are complete IMO, and really don't have much more history to go around. I'd personally like to play as a new character, a rich background and a strange connection to the force.
  22. No need to start flaming. Every game has someone who complains about the game. You actually have to wonder if he even has the game or has even played it. I'm only going to say that NO game ever comes out perfect, and there is always a bug or two here and there. In fact nothing in life is perfect... just have to be on the optimistic side is all I'd advise everyone else to stop replying in this thread as well.
  23. Wow... Thats just Sick... Anyhow forget the Jedi. Go find some place of Dark power and Embrace the Dark Side. Then kill your whole community and wait for the Jedi to come find you. Then when they beat you down... beg for mercy... and then they'll show you the path of the Light *Hopefully. I don't know about you guys.. but if i tried to wield a lightsaber I'd cut off a few off my own limbs
  24. I like the Dialogue option you get when enter the . "You, Dead."
  25. Some interesting points here. This reminds me of a certain moment of dialogue I was sharing with Canderous from the original KOTOR. When during the Mandolorian Wars he and his fleet were searching for some survivors of a battle (Can't remember exactly). But anyways he mentions that some piece of Asteroid Rock began spinning, and suddenly it jumps out into hyperspace. By my assumptions it was a ship, and it was an ancient one at that. This could be a little hint poking at this True Sith. However its my belief that this "True Sith" lives beyond the Star Wars Galaxy, beyond the great void.
