A good example of healthy selfishness. You do these good things because you have an idea of how others feel, and by doing goods things it helps your conscious feel better thus making you happy, self interested happiness that works for everyone. Your a good guy hurlshot.

There is no such thing as altruism ( IMO) because man is self intrested in everything he does. But there is room for compassion still with empathy, and that may leads to guilt sometimes, which may lead the man to do what is right because he doesn't wan't to feel guilt, ultimatly we want to be happy.

How would this game run on a 2.4 pentiumC 478 pin with a gig of 3200 400mhz ram and a Geforece 6800GT BFG OC? Could i get most of the bells and whistles to run while running a steady framerate or is this game for uber machines like FEAR?

What like winning the lottery twice in a row? I guess luck isn't even a part of superstition, because the subject has the potential to win 2 lottery's in a row(as long as he buys a ticket for each one). Winning it twice would go against the odds heavily, but it is possible. Just like this world being here with us on it, talking on a forum in the middle of a void. Unlikley by chance to be at this moment but chanes are, it had to happen sometimes, right? ****, I am lucky, i won the galactic lottery! Praise happy bunny jesus! (w00t)

I went with i don't believe in superstition. I thought about it and I don't think there is a such thing as luck, just cause and effect. EDIT: Maybe its just about looking at the glass half full or half empty. EDIT: EDIT maybe i should have voted for making my own luck then! :D

Ah instincts, quite possible. I'm not sure if our instints really do just want to kill and fight. Maybe it just only tries to find everything in personal interest. And if killing is part of it, then run. Maybe our instincts just naturally try to make us happy. Maybe we are self interestd, but part of our instincts are empathy and guilt, which also plays a roll in morality by creating compassion.

I would tend to say that (most) personality is innate, and is merely shaped by the environment (whether supportive or abusive). Also, don't kid yourself: most people think they are "new, improved" versions of their parents, yet grow up to be almost identical (not immediately: but remember that your parents are a few decades older than you are). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Innate? Apriori? Canyou explain your case, because I can't see it being innate, i personally believe that people aren't born with knowledge like morals ect... My defense is if you look around there seems to be contradiction everywhere with morality. IE is lieing really bad, is killing really wrong, equality is fair. I would make a FPS with and sell it in episodes, probably 6 episodes and sell each of them for about 19.99 dollars (not 20 because im giving them a great deal!) and get this, they will each be about 6-8 hours long(not short)!!!
