This is fun. My turn! Fun factor - 8/10 (it is fun but so,e of the annoying things really annoy me) Graphics - 7.5/10 (solid but usually unremarkable) NPCs - 8/10 (I overall love them; want to give it 9.5; but with a few really crappy npcs + the whole idea of FORCED companions deserves punishment) Adherence to rules - 8/10 Stability - 9/10 (a single crash, some lag, and other various stuff; but overall cool) Music/Voice overs - 9/10 (I love the fact that they use both old and new music sounds. Really, really smart to do so) Inprovement over 1st game - A wash Onlineplay - Haven't tried it yet, TBD Story - 7/10 (decent) Combat - 9/10 (combat is fun; my only real complaint is its easiness) Bias - 9.5/10 (I love D&D, I love NWN, I love this game) Overall - 8/10 (fun experience, overall).

It seems so... Just like NWN1...
-
I don't. I'm asking YOU. I know you cna do it for NWN1 OCs (after you unlock them either by playing or using magic of entering game code). Is it now impossible for NWN2 OC?

"Another reason why I would not consider modding is you can't add new quests or customs made stuff into the original story." Why can't you!?!

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition
Volourn replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
"I keep getting the feeling that Shandra's death was a big middle finger from JE Sawyer to those RPGers that demand love interests, given his expressed contempt for the concept of romance. But it could be the case that he had nothing to do with that particular part of the story. So it's probably just me." Eh. I don't think he was a writer; just Lead deisgner and chances are most of the main plots - and, I'm sure Sandra's part in the game was considereed major - was put in palce before his evolution into Big Huncho. Besides, Elanee's a romance interest anyways so that's kinda moot. "Anyway, at least you dont have to carry Ammon around in your party for 10 hours like you do with Sandra." Well.. at least Shandra didn't try to murder you before she forced join you. LOL That's an auto leg up on a mass murdering psychopath who just slaughtered his granddughter in a hissy fit than faked sorrow afterwrads. I'd just rather throw him in the Dungeons, and if he truly wants to help; he can give his absolutely USELESS info to me through the bars. R00fles! P.S. No resting in the Final dungeon sound slike it will be awesome unless it's like 10 levels! L0LLERZ! -
"Resting is different. I hated resting in NWN and I still hate it in NWN2. Doesn't matter. While I don't like that aspect, I realize that it was probably the best compromise for the multi-player crowd. Since they put in some great design decisions for the single player crowd, I don't begrudge the MP/PW folks getting a little boost. " What's hialrious about this is that 90% of the PWs I've played on for NWN1 changed the retsing system to make more restrictive. Go figure that they'd do soemthing supposeldy for MP, and the MP ers pretty much laugh at them for doing so. L0LLERZ!

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition

Into chapter 3. jerro's Haven was pretty cool. Loved the demons espicially the female ones. I loved Elanees' reaction to her come on. Ha! It's obvious Elanee the Elf wants to jump my Dwarf's bones. And, when I told thats exist demon to pike off, I thought for a second that Elanee was gonna just take my clothes right then and there. Heh. Shandra is awesome, and died a noble detah. I would have wished they'd have given a top secret oiptional way to save her (if ther eis one meh). Shandra rocked, and she died with all the goodies I gave her!!!! As for her grandpa. Bah. Another retard gets forced on me! BOOOOO!!!!!! The guy is a scumbag, and deserves hard justice!!!!! Start of ch3 is rather cool. Did the Never Dungeons which have chanegd since NWN1... On my way to Highcliff to save them AGAIN from lizardfolks! E00fles! I wish peons would stop harassing me! And, I notice now that the game allows you 4 allies of your choosing now. Cool beans!!! I am level 16 nearly 17. My ac is nearly 40 now. My group is now carrying about 60 heal potions as well as other sorted magics. NWN2's bag of holdings (as well as magic bags) are much better than NWN1's. That's for sure. -
6/10? Fanboys ATTACK! Anyways, I'd rate the OC around an 8.... PO.S I wouldn't define Khelgar as 'grumpy'. He seems too excitebale to be 'grumpy', and is almost always in good spirits. Just because he loves to fight doens't make him grumpy.

"Some modders get together at their own message boards, not just Biowares site." OMGZ! No way! My post must have claimed something I didn't. Of course, chances are the BIO baords would provide a bunch of links to these other mysterious sites.

"Proof please." Listen to Tigranes. Tigranes knows all. Ecept when Tigranes disagrees with Volourn, and then Tigranes knows very little. Sorry Tigranes. "I had no problems with the death implementation that Bioware implemented in NWN (or KOTOR for that matter)." Good for you. The fact remains that BIO got flamed because of the OC death system. Heck, me 'oh great defender of the OC' falmed there for it. R00fles! And, I don't recall anyone actually ASKING for BIO (or Obsidian) to implement their lame death systems in either KOTOR, JE, or the NWNs. Again, the majority of gamers sure didn't mind it for the BGs. *shrug* My point, hwoever, was not really about the detah systems per se; but how certain people act towards them. Certain people blasted BIO for their non DnD version of death in NWN1 yet these same people have not made a PEEP about Obsidian doing the same in NWN2 outside of a shrug. It's what is called hypocrisy. If the death system didn't bother you in the OC; good on you. Then, obviously, that point isn't directed at you. Of cours,e I have yet to see any evdience that the majority of NWN's audience actually prefers the lameo method used in either main OC. Heck, there's a reason why BIO altered it in the expansions (outside of SOU ch1 that which had a slight modification of it own). R00fles!

R00fles!

Heh. Since this is the 'NWN2 Technical Challenges' thread, I might as well repeat myself. LOL temple of Seasons was bugged for me. I was able to unlock the North Door in the Winter Room and grab the statue for the cermeony. The other doors are locked with no way to bypass them. The Winter Challenge tm (pedestal book) claims I completed its task; but I did no such thing (unless unlocking the door was its task, R00lfes!). Anyone else suffer the inhumanity of this!?!

Check the NWN2 boards. OMG!

"Thankfully, Volo, the developers sided with the rest of humanity and decided that on balance it wasn't as much fun as their alternative." That's funny. The 'rest of humanity' sure had lots of fun with little complaints when it was in the BG series as well as a ton of of other game. *shrug* NWN2 is a D&D game, and since Obsidian bragged about how they were going to go by D&D rules as much a spossible... then, went and did a death system that's even further removed from it than NWN1 OC's death system. What's hialrious is that BIo got completely blasted for it yet Obsidian is getting praised for it for NWN2 by their fanboys who were the same people mostly whining about NWN1. What's also funny is that BIO got such a hammering over it they actually made it closer to pnp rules in the expansions. R00fles! Perhaps Obsidian needs the same type of 'togh love' to understand what most gamers want for the expansions. D0uble R00fles! "If they felt that the majority of gamers preferred to have actual death and treks to temples to resurrect people, they would have designed the game that way." Not neccessarily true. You got no proof of this whatsoever. The m,ajority of gamers don't care about D&D or its rules so why would Obsidian make a D&D game if the majority of gamers don't want to play. Wouldnt they be bests erved to make Sims or GTA type games? L0LLERZ!

There was no snow. Just a 'wintery' look. Meh. I feel gip. Temple of Seasons was one of the maina reas theyw er eusing to pimp the game, and I didn't even really experience it. LOL!
-
Huh?
-
I have no idea. that's why I was 'wowed'. What exactly does it mean? What does that legally entail BIO to do? Hmmm..
-
The Tmeple of Seasons seems to be majorly bugged. That whole area seemed ruined by me being able lockpick a certain door. R00fles!

"NWN:II and NWN:I..." But NWN2 makes NWN1 'obsolete' or so some here would like us to believe.

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition
Volourn replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
a) I haven't had as much time to play (too much time working and posting, I guess). b) At times I have to take a break due to certain reasons. c) I waste a lot of time managing the mess of an inventory espicially after ph@t lewt runs! -
"I don't see the wow-factor in that quote." It's the fact that he syas BIO has the community 'legally'.
