R00fles DeluXe!

Ireelevant if Roshan's exmaple is true. Besdies, Neeshak is one of the worst npcs ever along with the overrated Minsc and Deekin. Her seemingly random ideas about kiddies just illustrates the poor writing involved with her character. Thankfully, the majority of the other joinables have been awesomely written. :joy:
-
"Current system: Player talks about disciplining kids. Neeshka doesnt like it, - 1 influence. Better system: Player talks about disciplining kids, Neeshka doesnt like it, - 1 influence." She actually says that? Since when does Neeshka even care about kiddies? In my game, she got pissed at me because I had the GALL to agree to look for missing chidlren when there was no profit involved. Anbother reason to hate the character. Her illogicies ar eevn worse than the illogicies in making PCs get force feed NPCs down their throat. LOL

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition

LOL My character has an ac of 38. Muahahahaha!!! -
NWN2 is 1 million times better than either KOTOR. Game over.
-
I don't think NWN2 cna 'hate' anyone. It's just software. Computers are just strnage that way. Half the time; it just seems like blind luck when a certain game works for one person and doens't for the bothers. Of course, some bugs ar ejust plain old fashion bugs - these are usually the types of bugs that tend to be easily fixable by the devs since they are much easier to pinpoint and squash.

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition

Yeah, it's fun. I know it's overpwoered though at leats in NWN1. I haven't teried it in NWN2; but I'ms ure it works basically the same way. But when a shadowdancer/rogue/assassin can beat a fighter/dwarven defender (at level 40 for both) in a striaght up one on one contes with hardly ever getting hit; there is something wrong. -
I thought you had quit?
-
I've gotten that pop up once!!! :joy:
-
"Something is seriously wrong with your computer, or NWN2 decided to hate you from the start." You make it sound like he's the only one that has problems with running NWN2. Check out www.bioware.nwn2.selfhelpforum.com for evidence that that's balony.

HIPS is over powered. Plain, and simple. I wish BIo didn't add it. -
I have none of the problems Roshan just listed; but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

So... it seems that Jerro isn't needed... You could always use the Gith. Exactly why is the purification ritual needed? the ones I got, while useful, aren't the be all end all of things. Well.. I'll see when I get to the end; but the illogical of the illogicies is beyond the illogic of this decision. Why oh why did BIO have to start this trend with KOTOR thenh have Obsidian cotninue wiit with KOTOT2 and NWN2 as well as BIO themselves with JE!?! Urgh!!!!! "Ammon Jerro performs the ritual on the final statue of purification, which is a good thing because YOU don't get there in time." And? That doesn't expalin why you NEED him! Like I said before, I'd rtaher use the Gith. Look at that! A choice! Gith > Jerro. You don't even need the rituals if the rituals the PC gets are any sample of them. L0LLERZ!!! Talk about bullcrap! Your fanboyness of rabidly defending this asanine deisgn decision is absolutely hialrious!! -
I feel influence doesn't really add anything. They could accomplish the same exact things that influence does just by doing what other RPGs do. Other RPGs have been allowing the player to influence or be influenced by npcs for years. The system doesn't add anything new to that regard; not to mention in many (if not all) cases; the PC is being influenced by the NPC not the other way around like Obsidian had first described it as.
-
Ok. I think the review is not the best ever. It seems they rushed it out which is why it's only a page. I would rate the game an 8; because while I am enjoying it there's a lot of things wrong with it.
-
"Because no one would ever touch the original NWN OC with a fifty foot pole?" wRONG. people have. Why do people make stuff up? The most noteable being the AI= Henchmen Mod that someone made. "Why aren't there item packs or new npc mods out there? All I see (my view is at Bioware FYI), are modules that have nothing to do with the original game/story/whatever." You can, and there are. But, for the most part, NWN modders don't focus on that stuff. Check out neverwintervault. It has all sorts of downloadable stuff.

"For me this game is a 9.5 out of 10." 9.5? I find that kinda funny consideirng that NWN2 does a lot of things you supposedly despise. WOWWYS!!!

Stop with the hiding of spoilers everyone! "Volo, arent you the one that claimed traps do laughable damage?" Yes, for the most part it is true. But, they do add up when you ignore them for awhile. "Well, just quit the game right then and there and go play something else, because it'd be essentially the same as if you had killed Ammon Jerro. I suppose you could have this epic, futile struggle, where eventually the King of Shadows wins because you killed the last piece that was required to kill him, but I'd wager that most people wouldn't be happy with an ending that was that anti-climactic." A. I doubt you really *need* him. Secondly, if Obsidian was deisgning the game with actual real role-playing in mind; they wouldn't design in sucha way that an npc would be forced on you. Period. And, btw, that even includes the npcs I actually like. -
Sometimes NWN2 looks really good. Soemtimes NWN2 looks really awful.
-
"I hit that problem in my last game also. The problem there is that the big baddy in the fight accidentally killed someone that has dialogue during that conversation, but because the character is dead, he can't respond. The only way to fix it that I know of right now is to reload and go through the fight on normal instead of hardcore. Get's ride of the mage friendly fire which should allow you to finish the fight properly." Yeah, I read about that on the BIO baords. I'll try that later on next time I play.

Oh btw, The bugs keep on coming! Now, I got a major one when dealing with the Lizardfolk Chief in ch3. After beating it; it says "Do as you wish" and my only option is to press continue. After that, it no longer talks, and I am absolutely TRAPPED in a small area. R00fles! Reloading doens't help! HAHAHAHAHAHA! And, here I thought NWN2 was a a relativley unbuggy game. Oops... That's two major bugs found in the last 24 hours including one game ender. I'll have to avoid that entire area now which means I'll likely lose potential allies. YAHOO!!!!!

"guess my JPRG background makes me not care. I'm used to it." Eh? I like JRPGs just fine. In fact, I love them. But, JRPGS have never bragged about being about the type of role-playing D&D games - or 'Western RPGs' are supposed to be like. Forcing companions on players is NEVER cool when it's supposed to be about player choice. Oh btw, The bugs keep on coming! Now, I got a major one when dealing with the Lizardfolk Chief in ch3.
