  1. It has nothing to do with taste. The game is *obviously* lacking key plot elements. The fact that you cannot see this makes me wonder whether you are stupid, or just haven't played the game. This is *your* opinion, not a fact. You are the one being ridiculous here, not me. First of all, you are the troll here. People complaning have valid reason to do so, and should not be put down by smartass you for stating their opinion. And secondly, it's sure as hell more than "a few dozen". If I need a dictionary, you need a calculator. Your opinion is *not* facts, no matter how much you seem to think so. You think the game is perfect as is? Good for you. But you should respect that others disagree with you. You are NOT the center of the universe, you opinion is NOT necessarily the (only) right one. Who exactly is ignoring Forna? You sure ain't.
  2. No. The previous discussions concerning Revan's gender made me realise that it's by far best if such things remains undecided.
  3. Are you wondering about that as well? Thought it was just me...
  4. Popcorn... what a splendid idea. I do think I have some microwave popcorns on stock.
  5. It does NOT screw up Revan's timeline! You are the only one who believes so! Get it into your head already! It is NOT a fact anywhere but in YOUR head!
  6. Ideally, Bioware and Obsidian would team up to make KotOR III without LucasArts.
  7. Well excuse me for not having "vision" enough to realise that I would be conned if I bought this game. By your logic, it's ok to con people - it's their own fault for not seing it coming? I disagree. I see. So I can sell you a car without back seats and it would be ok? The car would be what I made it to be, and thus finished. It would be your own fault if you expect it to have back seats, not mine - right? Suggest all you want. If you don't like reading my posts, then don't. But don't tell me what to do. Those "fanboys" you bash are the majority of the customers for such a game. They are the ones who LucasArts and Obsidian (if they make it) would want to buy future KotOR games. Ignoring what they think would be both arrogant and stupid. The game have plot holes that makes the endgame incomplete. That's hardly my subjective opinion, I think most people will agree to that.
  8. Some, a lot , who cares. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It matters when you are using it as argumentation for your views.
  9. Both our PCs did this. But do you agree with them?
  10. Yes it's very good. Jokes some people dont get is quite apt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh it's only 'some' people who don't get them? Then maybe you can epxlain to me why Mira is the only human NPC from your party who is with you on Malachor V? Maybe you can explain why Bao Dur instructed his remote with a hologram instead of in person? Maybe you can explain why the G0T0/Remote thing was all about? Maybe you can explain why Mandalore didn't go with you to Malachor V? Maybe you can explain why Visas isn't with you on Malachor, after she had previously stated that she would follow you to the end? Etc...
  11. Oh. Never heard about that one. Well I understand why they cut an ending killing the PC, for continuity reasons for future games.
  12. I wouldnt use that anology myself. Rather I would see it as the comedian using fresh material for most of the night and then right at the end using a couple of old tired jokes which you already knew the punchline to. That wouldnt ruin the evening because the other material was A+ stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I rather find Forna K. Shan's anaology rather fitting - and it is beyond me how you can compare leaving out vital parts of a story to telling an old story...
  13. Don't get me wrong, I too see LucasArts as the big evil in this story. I'm merely pointing out that Obsidian does, after all, share some of the responsibility for the game.
  14. Obsidian and LucasArts sold me an unfinished product. The fact that other companies might do the same is of no relevance to me. But I will admit that I have little experience with RPGs. I have played Fallout 1 and 2, and KotOR I and II. That's it. So what? I'm not talking about the amount of hours the game takes to complete. Max payne and Call of Duty were both short games, but they were damn good regardles. My problem with KotOR II is not short playing time, but the ENOURMOUS plot holes.
  15. Leaving the droid factory and droid planet out of the game doesn't upset me. I think it's cool that the cut content is left in for modders to mess with, and I don't think it actually hurts the game much that it isn't in. But even without cut content, anyone can see that Malachor is a mess with terrible plot-holes. So I can't see how removing the cut content completely would change much.
  16. I know, and most of my anger goes towards LucasArts - trust me. But Obsidian are the ones who will suffer from this, they are the ones who will be remembered for it. LucasArts can easily switch to someone else for KotOR III, and put the blame on Obsidian. Yes, Obsidian have little blame in this. But what kind of comfort is that to the customers? You expect us to be all like "Oh well, we got robbed - but let's praise Obsidian for it, it's not their fault"? I think it's understandable why he doesn't admit that KotOR II was unfinished. But he doesn't have to present us with obvious BS instead. At the end of the day, Obsidian and LucasArts are in this together. Why didn't Obsidian object to LucasArts rushing plans? Now you might say "well that's because they had signed a contract allowing LucasArts to do these things" - but who's responsibility is *that*, if not Obsidian's?
  17. No, this game is definately not a modders paradise. I think that phrase should be reserved for games where the people behind either release tools to mod it or at the very least approves of it. LucasArts is a major bitch about modding their games. If they could, I bet they would encrypt all game files in a manner that would prevent modding.
  18. I hated Peragus. It was too long, too linear and too repetitive. Telos was good, but could have had more to it. Also, it would have been nice if you could return to the Academy there again. Korriban was a major dissapointed. No real quests, no people to interact with, and nothing all that interesting (yeah I know a lot of people liked that cave, but I'm not one of them). Nar Shaddaa was big, had lots of quests, and was pretty interesting. A good world. Dantooine was pretty cool as well, but could have had a bit more people interaction and a bit less critter slaying. But all in all, it was good. Dxun/Onderon were quite well-made, though Onderon could easily have been a bit larger and had a few more quests. But an exciting world this was. Malachor V was almost as bad as Peragus. 'Nuff said.
  19. Gizka forever! No other critter compares.
  20. Actually, Malak wasn't the one destroying Telos - Admiral Saul Karath was. Not that it matters much to this discussion, of course. The droid factory is *clearly* on Telos, and there is *no* reason why it can't be - other than those made up ones in StarWarsResearcher's head, of course.
  21. Not *everyone* have the option to return the game, and not *everyone* enjoys throwing money away. Wtf? Are you arguing that it's ok to sell people unfinished products just because you might risk losing money yourself if you do not? What kind of selfish and deceiptful attitude is that? No, he likely isn't. But that doesn't make it anymore right. Nobody cares? Newsflash: look around, dude. This board is filled with posts complaining about KotOR II being incomplete. There are internet sites with editorials addressing the issue, there's even a petition. Now YOU might not care, but you are not *everyone*. And you accuse others of seing themselves as the center of the universe? lol I am aware that Feargus have little choice in this matter, and that Obsidian have been put in an unfortunate position by LucasArts. But that doesn't relieave either from their responsibility to their customers.
