What mod is that? Link? The thing about KotOR I is that any cut content found can just be considered as bonus for modders. It's not *needed* in the game, the game is complete and excellent even without it. So why protest? It's different with KotOR II, as the cut content here prevents the game from being complete... too many holes in the plot without it. I noticed no such things with the first game. A hint or two about a cut planet, but nothing essential.

Modding *in general* is a very good idea. This particular idea? I'm not so sure...

Another outrageous aspect of KotOR II... LucasArts should be ashamed. They have become exactly all the things Lucas himself used to critisize various companies within the movie industry for being; his supposed reason for going independent... What a hypocrat. They should either fix this whole broken mess or offer a refund. I, as a fan and purchaser of this game, feel insulted, deceived and cheated.

Obsidian did ok. It's LucasArts who really screwed up, by preventing Obsidian from using all their material...

These kinds of mods tend to me more talk than actual modding... But eh, I wouldn't play this anyway.

Huh? From where did you get that information? In my game, she just buzzed them with no further explanation... looked like force drain or something... and then she left. Also, if that is what she did - then from where did she get such amazing powers? And still, shouldn't 3 Jedi Masters be somewhat tougher prey than that?

I had a practice run on Telos. After that I decided that swoop racing sucked, so I didn't do a single competitive race in the entire game.

Yes, that annoyed me as well... people like Tobin, some random Sith captain, Hanrarr, etc really shouldn't be tougher than most Jedis... But neither of that annoys me as greatly as Kreia killing 3 Jedi Masters with 1 blow, though. *sigh*

If so, then it's a really nice gesture towards the modders. LucasArts won't allow them to help modders otherwise, but this could be a discrete way of doing it. But it could also be because they simply didn't have time to remove it, due to LA riding them too hard as is to get it done early - or that they left it in hoping to be allowed to do a content patch. At any rate, I wouldn't be surprised if they have gotten hell from LA already due to not removing it, and that they will probably make sure it won't happen for future releases...

I may be dumb here, but who is that "certain Jedi"? And also, does anyone at all know how he ended up on Peragus of all places? And in their detention cell?

Well I didn't get much backstory from any of the NPCs... I guess I didn't have them around at the key moments, when I should have gotten influence with them... most of the time, I had Kreia and Visa in my party. So what exactly *is* atton's story? Well I know about the Sith assasin stuff, but is there more to it? And how the h... did he end up in a Peragus cell? Also, what's Mira's story?

I didn't even know about these possibilities untill I had already finished the game... heh. But I don't mind, as I think it's a silly concept. Haindmaiden makes sense as a Jedi, but Bao-Dur? Atton? Mandalore? Outright silly if you ask me.

It is - maybe. In KotOR 1 this situation was a loose, not a win. All card slots full = you loose. Either they changed the pazaak rules for KotOR 2, or it is a bug. I lost several pazaak games which I would have won in KotOR 1 - so I guess it's possible they changed the rules... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah. I too had lost on that account in the first game, and thus therefore assumed that the rules would be the same in the sequel... though I'll have to admit that not once did I look at the rules in KotOR II...

1. Bastila 2. Visas 3. HK-47 But in general, I think there have been some pretty damn good voice acting in both games. That, at least, is an area in both that reeks of quality. Thumbs up.

Indeed. If they have no intention to do it right, they might as well stop. I'd rather not have another unfinished game to mock the heritage of the first one, much less do I want to feel I waste my money once again.

Noone is saying that the two stories are exactly the same - but the two main missions are clearly build on the same model. As I said previously:

Becoming a Sith does not put you on the republics side. Only by revisionist history of KOTOR II. No they fight for you , in both cases you are their only alligience. For an old, old, OLD woman - Kreia is already more than tough enough imo. It would have been more interesting if they had used Kreia and Atris for a sort of Emperor/Vader scenario... with Kreia pulling the strings and Atris being the muscles.
