  1. Well, I didn't quite get Atton's skills up like that, being it was the 1st time thru the game for me. But yeah, much later on I realized I should have maxed out precise shot - I didn't. I have no idea what his actual in-fight damage was most of the time in my game - the 10-35ish number was just what showed up on the character screen.
  2. Speculation: perhaps in the original game/plot, Bao-Dur programmed his Remote to display that hologram/instructions if he died/failed a mission of his own (that he tried to undertake after crashing on Malch. etc)
  3. Ohhhh...I have to disagree about the ranged thing too. I had Atton as a 2-blaster guy and he kicked butt. I think his stated damage towards the end was around 10-35 each hand....and with all the ranged feats he did fine - massive critical hits and stun chance on both guns and all that. Sometimes I just stood there and watched & giggled.. Sure, he'd take a bit longer than my one to three swings of the lightsaber, but couldn't ask for better support. Plus, ranged NPC's don't get in the way or get 'stuck' treading in place doing nothing to help because you're in the way of his path-sight to the enemy. I didn't like the rifles however. Fully upgraded high-grade blasters - the unstoppable ones with stun were very effective - is the way to go. I liked having one double- blaster NPC and one melee NPC very much. The auto-target AI (including for the PC character) tend to target the first noticed, which isn't always the closest. That is annoying - I've even had the 'Jedi support mages' dash forward like that..
  4. If the game had been longer, 10 would have been fine. But it isn't a really long game, so yeah...the thing is, depending on what planet order you do, by the time you get the last few, you've invested so much into the others that you don't want to give them up. Well, at least that's how I am.
  5. Atton looks like he's wearing some kind of weird armored glove in that screenie.
  6. That's true techincally, but I'm telling you, on my PC, there's a distinct visual difference when I change some of the settings. Because I know what you mean about the fuzziness, it's the 1st thing I noticed when I was fiddling with settings. But they're not very fuzzy now. *shrug*
  7. One more thing - in that pre-release screenie, what in the world is wrong with Atton's arm??
  8. omg - lol, that made me laugh. I liked him a lot more than option #2 indicates but I don't want to have a baby so I chose #5...and am relieved to see I'm not the only one. :D
  9. I did the same thing as Brunhilde.
  10. Yeah...I did read that thread about the sound files and stuff....and got that program so I could listen to them. So just gaps then.... It is a great (original) story, although I'm not sure I would have been very pleased to see Atton planting daisies, even if it was noble.... :D Perhaps it's one of those 'we can't kill off all those characters yet, what if we want to use them in the next game' executive decisions.....
  11. I mean this one...the Gray Jedi Robe...there was a ligher brown version of it too. Now now...I wasn't studying anyone's crotch...(whistles)... My previous description wasn't great I know...but it just looks odd to me with that cut-out. I guess that's so when they have to go the bathroom, they don't have to worry about that pant-chap thingie getting in the way? (speaking of bathrooms - in the fine ship-in-space tradition, there's no bathroom on the EbonHawk...no wonder everyone on board is always cranky ) As to colors - none of the overlays/underlays changed the color of any robes for me. not that I probably found everything, w/the random item generation.
  12. This is just my blathering thoughts on finishing the game for the 1st time...there WILL BE spoilers...doh So....I finished the game today (Dark) and while it wasn't a great ending, at least Kreia gives you lots of verbal maybes about your companions fates. I'd prefer cutscenes but at least it was something. Question: The whole 'Remote' sequence w/the computer consoles. What was that about? I mean, they show Goto holding him hostage, but that's it. No conclusion to that little scenario. I didn't pick the dialogue option w/Keira that said "I could blow up this place" or whatever...is that why? If I had, would I have seen a cutscene that showed poor little Remotes fate? Random comments: I madly took screenshots of all the 'future' dialogue since I have a poor memory. I must have 400-500 screenshots of this game of various lines. Considering the way my game developed, I was surprised that my character asked if Atton loved her, not Disciple. Maybe that was just the timing of dialogue however. I liked Kreias answers. Hehe This game confirmed for me that SW philosophy on the 'Force' etc. just goes in one ear and out the other - way over my head. Heh. Kreia totally lost me. But still entertaining fiction. Sion was cool. I liked his end-fight scenario. The only major complaint I have about the end game Bah. But I still want to play it a few more times...I'll just skip the whole end-planet/asteroid/whatever etc.
  13. Mostly I didn't like the way the robes 'fit' around the crotch area. it looked like...well...some weird kind of jock-cup shadow instead of some shirt-flap cut-out as I think it's supposed to be. That and I found that blue robe outfit early in the game and I haven't found anything better, and the blue is getting boring. Different colors would have been nice...then my party of 3 wouldn't look like identical triplets. I know, I know...they're supposed to be uniformish....still boring to stare at for 50 hours.
  14. The movies look pretty bad to me on 'medium' graphic settings, but on High with 1024/32 resolution they look a lot better. Not super crisp or anything but almost passable - on my 17" screen anyway.
  15. I'd assume it's random, since (I think) only one member at a time can get the influence for the encounter. Just remove the one you don't want to be influenced.
  16. Atton was always getting bad feelings in my game...every planet. I'd run into some place and he'd pipe up with some line, I'd say something back, and he'd go "Ok, but I have a bad feeling about this." Or sometimes he varied the words a bit. That was it. Not sure if the times he said it turned out to be dangerous or not...especially since the entire game is barely dangerous as is (on normal difficulty anyway). Edit - on the topic of the clothes - I put Atton in the Sith armor that allowed +7 dex bonus. Seemed to work fine. But yeah, he looks best in his original outfit. Most of them do. I was a little disappointed with the jedi robes too, appearance wise.
  17. 36...happily married (sorry Atton...)...spoiled rotten and constantly immature. Or something.
  18. No more so than adoring pixelated images of air-brushed gals/guys whom one will never actually meet.
  19. First, I completely agree that the romance in KOTOR2 is far too undeveloped - if you're going to 'tease' people with a romance, don't do a half-assed job of it and then leave people hanging. (I'm only on my 1st time thru the game, close to the end now) On the other hand, games so rarely have any romance at all, that I'm sort of happy to have anything - and that I even care about that 'anything' to begin with is kind of a testament in itself, to the writing/characters etc. IMO. Second, I love Atton, he's my main man....and he's definitely not 'LS'. I'm playing Dark, and while he did comment early on (several times) that my skin is getting quite unlovely, he responds most favorably to violent murders of the innocent. That all said, I would like to speak in defense of poor Disciple, in the spirit of roleplaying. (in other words, this is going to be long & story like) I too initially disliked his voice, and his rather weird appearance - he made me think of a Prince Charming who got too carried away with plastic surgery or something. But since he looked like a strong fellow, I trained him in the Force and eventually a lightsaber because frankly, I was tired of Kreia nagging at me everytime I turned a corner, and a driod is not great company. And that Bao-Dur -- his glowing arm keeps giving away our postiion to the enemy and he refuses to wear a long-sleeve over it. Disciple was distressingly good when I met him, and naive, but I was amused that he sparked a jealous note in Atton ("We're doing just fine without you..we travel light...etc"). Once I noticed Disciple's own infatuation with me, with careful manipulation I slowly corrupted him while yet giving him the illusion that he was staying true to his love for the Republic. Quite masterful brainwashing, if I do say so myself. In fact, when I sent him to lead the mission on Dxun, when he returned, he came to me crestfallen because he had "failed me...gave in to the dark side..." by wallowing in it's power (twice) and being tempted by a Sith's words even as he struck them down in my name. I could see the cracks in his fair skin and the shadows under his eyes (which much improved his appearance btw) and was greatly pleased at my handiwork. I soothed his tormented mind by telling him a pleasant lie about how it's what we do after a failing that matters, and he actually thanked me for it. So to sum up....I'm having a lot of fun twisting him to the dark side and using his adoration against him. So much so that by now, I've grown dangerously fond of him, and his voice no longer bothers me. He just needed a little.......training......to become something more intriguing. Anyway....Disciple grows on you if you give him a chance. A lot of his interactions with the Exile are...interesting. And he actually becomes quite the good lightsaber-melee-force-storm fighter. But Atton's still the main man. Tho the scoundrel does have serious trust/ego issues....
  20. Bao-Dur seems to get the best 'evil' look. Light side in-game isn't noticable. In the character screen they stand taller and put their chin up higher...that was about it that I saw, before I started over in favor of Dark.
  21. Very well voice-acted, I agree. Combined with some of the animations, there were some great 'creepy' cutscenes. Too bad I didn't like the character more.
  22. Atton all the way...that vocie of his is the kicker for me. It has almost exactly the same tonal qualities of my 1st love and II was hooked into Atton's character from the get-go. Disciple annoyed me as being too goody2shoes at first, with a foppish voice, and I felt like every time he talked I was staring up his nose....but his protective devotion to 'me' finally broke my evil reserve and now he's the co-leader of my harem...er...I mean my group.
