  1. Kittah. Surprised? Didn't think so.
  2. Ok, I admit it, I teared up a little when Gandalf fell & the group was rolling around on the rocks sobbing. But Frodo...no.
  3. I must agree with Shadowstrider. :D
  4. I tend to think of Agility covering the Speed aspect - at least partially - since how well one dodges is often determined by how quick/nimble/flexible you are...but if you're talking about something that affects how fast you can walk/run or how fast you can cast spells/strike with your weapon, I prefer those as skill/training-based improvements/spells etc. rather than attributes.
  5. Pretty much the usual ones, like mentioned, whatever their names. They allow for a good flexibility of builds. I'd probably like a Luck one too...I had great fun w/the Luck stat in the M&M rpg series. And yeah, typically Luck is used to increase chances very slightly all across the board - usually combat related, but could be used for any random-chance calculations, like magical-loot-finding or trap avoidance etc.
  6. Wasn't sure if I should make a new post or necro-post this one... The Long Walk by Richard Bachman (aka Stephen King). I remember reading that as a teen in my highschool's library - the original bookcover with it's authoritarian figure and shambling walkers made a lasting impression on me - and then seeing it years later as part of a King 4-in-1 book. Weird. I like the story tho.
  7. Uh...hmm....what I would consider real crying - maybe 5 or 6 months ago. I did tear up slightly when Tom Everett Scott failed to take the WPT title - he's such a cutie.
  8. I wish I understood Dutch. :D I figured it was a mocking version of the song rather than a literal, but since I can't differentiate between many languages I took the video at it's word it was German. I (and they) stand corrected.
  9. Why I don't put much creedence in tests. " OKCupid's test: The other test: I know....let's just say I'm on the center vertical line in the approx. spot below the center horizontal line that both tests indicate and call it even. 2nd edit: I'm assuming the 2nd test puts me farther over to the left side because of some of the crime & social questions - they had more than Cupid's.
  10. The Monkees, Daydream Believer. :">
  11. Meerkats and other such large 'rodents' rule.
  12. 24, first season, in a 2 day marathon. 3rd time I've watched it, gets a little better each time. Still like 2nd season best - which ironically, is the only one I haven't yet bought on DVD.
  13. BarbieGirl sounds very different in German.
  14. No clue, but it reminds me of the singer-profile graphic from Jesus Christ Superstar.
  15. Past games have had hints of that, but nothing with that kind of detail. I personally think it should matter if civvies get killed from an attack you make. But then I tend to think of things like in Superman2 w/the Man of Steel crying "The peeopppleee!" when I play good characters - ie, good characters should care about the lives they're ultimately trying to protect. I mean, sure you can't avoid it every instance, but it should have some world-effect...either by affecting later quests (cause you killed a civvie's brother) or some kind of general whole. So to answer the question - yes, I'd be interested in a game that explored such a theme...as long as it wasn't just 'escort me here while I trail behind you like an idiot' quests, like someone mentioned....which doesn't seem to be what you're thinking about, anyway.
  16. Crab nuggets sound bad enough...what are crab nuggents? :D And right now I'm eating a stale Saltine cracker...
  17. I didn't hate her in the sense of the plot. She was a pretty interesting character story and motivation-wise - certainly not the typical 'villian' (they used the others for that role I guess...). But just like some people couldn't stand listening to Disciple's battle cries, I couldn't stand listening to hers, so my antipathy slowly grew... :D
  18. @ Hades - ------------------------------------- Scaredy dog?
  19. (This damn stupid song is now stuck in my head) The old but still good funny-cat compilation one.
  20. :D The New Who: I like the actor plying the Doctor...the girl is a bit annoying. Pretty decent show tho. We watched the DVD of The Three Burials, which is one farking strange film. Hubby rented it thinking it'd be a western...it's not.
  21. It's an early Bioware RPG that's pretty true to the D&D rules. 3/4, top down fixed perspective, very large number of maps/world, party environment, quests, etc. Definitely a great RPG, I played it for months when it first came out. But not like Kotor in style or action, imo. http://www.bioware.com/games/baldurs_gate/screenshots/
  22. I think the RPG genre has rather dried up, period, in the past years. Action-RPG's (or whatever you want to call them...), or at least very watered down RPG's, dominate at the moment, probably partly because they're easier to translate to MM-online games. Given Kotor's game format tho (some might say the Kotor's are still 'limited' RPG's), there might be some others out there you might like. However, I myself haven't played any other pc games that really remind me of the Kotor game-concept.
  23. If you want to believe Mira loves your male Exile, feel free. It's role-playing. In terms of the so-called official plot...no, I don't think so. Grudgingly admires/cares, yes, loves, no.
  24. Yeah...tho the only thing I remember from it is Paul Reubens.
