  1. I wasn't there. :/ The BG1 board that I remember was threaded and no longer exists.
  2. Sim2000? These lists are amusing. DungeonKeeper should be on that list, hehee
  3. I realized on my monitor at least, the seagull one is too green because I tried a different color profile. I've been struggling with RAW browsers and which one is the right one for me; the post-processing affects things sooo much. This digital vs. film PP stuff and color profiles etc. is something I'm still not used to and confuses me greatly. The attachment is just to show how different the color can be (from the previously posted version) just by changing a couple settings in the RAW browser - no other photshopping done. There is no true consistency between programs/printers/software even using the same named settings, and it seems to me one can only hope for decent exposure and sharpness. Not surprising perhaps, but frustrating to someone like me w/really picky color-accuracy desires. Edit: Here's another seagull pic - it's not a great pic by any means w/the focus being off, but I like the captured flying moment. Gorgeous morning here - if I can manage to stay awake long enough I'm going to try taking some pics during a park walk later today.
  4. Since The Sims won't be in the top 10, I'm fairly content ... I agree about Oblivion & more time should pass - we're talkin' all time here, not 'best of the past couple years'. WoW - I'm not sure about that one, unless they're mostly giving it a nod for being a really really successful MMORPG in a market full of not so successful ones.
  5. That sounds like messy fun! So does watching jousting. Camping - we've done a lot of that in the past, but nothing too adventurous on my part as an adult/since I met hubby. He's more the car-camping/constant moving road-trip sort ... I did do a low-level rafting trip on the American River w/my brother once. Very cool, even if I did feel like I was constantly about to fall off the edge of the boat. Alcatraz is an interesting afternoon trip too, along with the helicopter tours over the SFBay.
  6. Completely riddiculous legal outcome for the situation.
  7. Got any unusual/fun ones you like to do/have been on? We're thinking of going on a BattleSail this month. They're 3 hour recreations of cannon ship battles or something. "Cannons are loud, bring earplugs" they say. Hmm. As long as we don't get washed up on a deserted isle ...
  8. I remember liking the film version of Gatsby. I saw a lot of those in history/english classes in highschool. The book is a bit boring for my tastes tho.
  9. I know, I know, I've totally flaked off on the "assignments." Feel free to kick me and paste a "slacker" sign on my back. No great excuse except the usual: busy w/other things, and whenever I do go out to take pictures, I seem to go places/take pictures of animals. I can't help it! I did try a few street sign stuff, but they haven't come out too well. Why does it look good when you're framing thru the lens and on the LCD screen and then when you get home it looks like boring crud? i'm still highly frustrated/confused/driven crazy about color accuracy re: camera/printer/monitors/different editing software. Anyway, here's a bit of what I have been shooting w/the camera. The last one was an attempt at just capturing the feel of a long walkway, and probably isn't very interesting, but it's not animal related, so ... I originally took it horizontally but after some discussion I decided a vertical crop was better. I don't know who the man is. Seagull on pond flapping it's wings Night heron in tree Female mallard Man walking a long platform
  10. Ahah! Thanks, that was killin' me. @ Tale - I like that one. Dark and contrasty, simple. Although all those shortcuts do kind of ruin it ...
  11. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who generally ignores pickpocketing. Thanks for that info, avenger - I try to avoid big plot/quest spoilers before finishing a game at least once, but lists like that I like. Helps me decide whether or not I may want to spend time tinkering with certain skills/things.
  12. I feel like I should know what that is, but I don't.
  13. Oooo...pictures. Can't wait to see them.
  14. Well, I know it's been slow lately and we're all a little bored, but I'm not seeing how this topic will go anywhere constructive.
  15. The only game where I found stealing fun was in Darkstone, and that was because it was silly over-easy fun, with a few really useful items only to be had by stealing. Can't speak for NWN2, but in all other games that had stealing as a skill, it never seemed to add anything to (my) game experience other than patience aggravation, with little truly interesting reward, so I'd skip it. I do like "sneaking" to get past situations w/out fighting, tho. All that said, if anyone has found any unique items via stealing in NWN2, I'm all ears.
  16. It would appear that Lucas is currently about as popular here as Disciple.
  17. I liked this last episode. I love it when Pullo kicks butt ... Only two more episodes left.
  18. It's not really to my personal tastes, but the contrast and effects look clean and good. For this type of look, I'd probably like it a little more if wasn't so centered/symmetrical and the background was less distracting from the text. But that's just me.
  19. Yeah, it's showing up now. Goodness, I guess I haven't closed Firefox completely in a long while (I have it set to delete all temp/cache files upon closing).
  20. I used to love The Seventh Sign when it came out, because it had both Jurgen Prochnow and Michael Biehn in it, lol. I must have watched it 5 or 6 times. Dead Again. I still love this movie.
  21. Guide books are notoriously inaccurate, since they're written before the finalized retail version of the game in order to be on the shelf at the same time.
  22. 15 isn't showing up for me, and 42 and 44 are the same? 01 - 1 02 - 8 03 - 10 04 - 11 05 - 17 06 - 18 07 - 21 08 - 23 09 - 26 10 - 37 11 - 38 12 - 39 13 - 42 14 - 43 15 - 46 16 - 53
  23. Gotta agree with sand here. As long as they're not generally harming anyone with their business, it doesn't bother me how they choose to define 'environmentally low impact/perfect'. It falls in the realm of 'everyone's a hypocrite' to me. They're trying, at least, I guess?
  24. Thread pruned of spam. I suggest if we're missing someone, the PM function is a better way to let them know.
