Pool of Radiance. Betcha I'm currently playing the oldest game. PoR really makes me appreciate the red tape and extra confirm/deny loops cut out of D&D games with Baldur's Gate & other more recent D&D games. I am enjoying the story and the 'clear this section of town' aspect of gameplay though. Once I finish it I'm going to finish the NwN 2 remake. Quake Wars when I need my action fix. Game has the best balance and rock/paper mechanics of any class based shooter I've ever played. I'm a bit biased though as I've always loved id's shooters and I've played the original Enemy Territory for years. Always learning new tactics and tricks in the ET series. Eagerly awaiting Mysteries of Westgate, despite the horrendously lame authentication process that should have been done away with. I wonder how the new monsters/assets will be handled should you use them in a mod... will others need mysteries installed to play it? Heck will you even have access to the assets? Its not until the recent NwN 1 1.69 beta patch that the premium module tiles/monsters were released for all. Probably questions for another thread...

SHHH!

The only movie I remember seeing him in was the Terry Gilliam movie The Brothers Grimm, which I really enjoyed. He looks like he'll make an awesome Joker in the new Batman movie. Seemed tallented and it was quite a surprise to hear he had passed away.

I understand what you are saying now, and I especially agree with the last paragraph. My only disagreement is that he may actually have caused some harm due to ignorant people believing that a high IQ Jewish American chess wizard who bad-mouths his own country/race knows what he is talking about and that there is some sort of crazy countrywide jewish conspiracy in America. I do believe and agree that he probably would never have actually phyisically harmed someone... then again I never would have expected him to have those beliefs so you never really know.
-
I'm rather disapointed so many are willing to dismiss/ignore his extreme racism and hatred because he happened to be (really) good at chess. This dismission in a way boils down to power = ok to do or say what you want. I also wouldn't call his views harmless. Many people would be willing to look at this and say 'hey, this guy had a high IQ and was a master chess player... maybe some of his other views hold water...'. I respect his skill at chess, and I enjoy watching some of the old documentaries and vids of him playing in tournaments... but I can't respect him as a person. How do you think the people who suffered from 9-11 felt after hearing him on the radio or jewish people felt when he insulted them face to face? No, I don't think he deserves respect for that, despite any former accomplishment.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbtWuwQX8Is (CONTAINS HARSH LANGUAGE) A Bobby Fischer rant after 9-11. Wow... Osama bin Laden probably likes jews & the United States more than he did. Remember, this man IS jewish... both his parents were jewish. Did they beat him horribly or something? I actually think this may be part of the reason, as one of the things he levels at the jewish people is that they 'mutilate their children'. A more interesting & professional look at his state.

Chess genius and freakin' nut. He either fell in with a skin head group or he REALLY hated his jewish parents. After looking up more of his 'views' I can't say I'm all that mournful of his passing.

Will Tomb Raider Doors Slam Shut?
GreasyDogMeat replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
I think the Eidos just waited way too long to inivate the Tomb Raider series. I loved TR1 but years of the same rehash with maybe 1 or 2 new abilities/moves per game wasn't enough to keep people interested in the formula. Even though, imho, the new Tomb Raider Legend/Anniversary have drastically improved the TR series it just wasn't enough to bring back many of the old fans back. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is the reason for the current lull in TR sales... -
3:10 to Yuma. Great period setting, outfits & a few good shoot outs. Unfortunatly, one of the most ridiculous idiotic stories I've ever seen. A posse trying to bring an outlaw to a train, the 3:10 to Yuma to be hanged with the constant threat of the criminal's buddies following the posse trying to rescue him. They need to get him to the train for the 200 dollar reward. Along the way the outlaw offs the posse members one at a time. Remember... this is the wild west. What does our posse do about their rowdy but talkative criminal? Do they hog tie him so he can cause no more trouble? Do they gag him so he can stop messing with their heads? Do they break a few bones to make him more managable (remember... wild west)? No... they treat him like they are escorting a VIP across the country. The ending reaches insanely ridiculous heights as the last surviving member of the posse becomes buddies with the criminal, and the criminal decides to HELP the posse guy take him to the train to be shipped off and hanged as his criminal buddies try and rescue him. A further hilarious moment is when the train finally pulls into the station amidst a final gunfight between the criminal's buddies and the last surviving posse member. The train has a car that is for criminal transport... but not a single guard. The criminal ends up openning the jail cell and putting himself in the train. I also found it funny none of the people in the cell bothered to try and escape as he just opens the door and gets in. I can't believe this movie has recieved such a high rating at IMDB.com. Oh, and a few more golden nuggets of bs include: -Early in the movie the gang of bad guys rob a stage coach with a crank operated gatling gun on the back. Despite firing on the closely grouped gang of bad guys at medium/short range the guy manning the gattling gun can't hit them, or their horses. In fact one of the bad guys rides up to the gatling gunner and fires near point blank with a pistol to kill him. -After stopping the stage coach a character recieves a brutal close range gutshot wound. He is rescued and recieves an operation on his gaping stomach wound by the local veterinarian and then the next day is absolutly fine, out horse back riding. Tough old coot indeed. -The main protagonist posse member is a civil war vet with a missing leg. I would constantly forget about his 'handicap' during the course of the movie as this guy hauled a$$ everywhere like he was running a marathon. He's leaping off roofs, sprinting across the desert like it was nothing. I had no idea prosthetic tech was so advanced in the 1800s.

Black Sheep, the New Zealand horror comedy, not the Chris Farley comedy. As someone who loves horror comedies like Tremors, Critters, Killer Clowns from Outer Space & Attack of the Killer Tomatoes I loved this movie. Nothing quite like a field of sheep eating human viscera. Balls of Fury. I was actually laughing pretty hard through the first half of the movie, but the last half or so was a total dud. I don't know why writers keep falling back on the exact same joke over and over, especially when it was only mildly humerous the first time I saw it.

Awesome! I've been eagerly awaiting the conclusion. It starts a bit slow but the mod really picked up pace and kept my interest. A fantastic remake of the first real D&D computer game (there were a few previous D&D vid games but they were like pong). I love how the author has recreated the old areas, but made everything have purpose and feel.

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=289591>1=7703 Read more about the car's 'slain' previous owner and what happened to his brother. Sounds like a bad episode of CSI.

I know exactly what you mean. It was an even more depressing realization for me because looking at the screenshots before NwN 2's release I was thinking, "Awesome! The graphics look decent, but not amazing, which means Ill be able to run it on high settings with little trouble!". Overstatement... er thinking... of the year. Obsidian has become MUCH better at creating better looking areas that perform better with MotB though. The areas look better, run better and are just as large if not larger than NwN 2 OC areas.

It's fixed! I left Mulsantir Gate with full craving and spirit energy 100 and arrived at the shore with spirit energy 82 Cool. I was planning to try an evil character but I've been putting it off due to the numerous complaints about this bug.
-
http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewt...3&forum=109 A lot of nice fixes in this patch. Gameplay wise I'm most pleased about the removal of law/chaos alignment shifts from spirit eater abilities in MotB. I never understood why suppress gave lawful points. Stealth has also been long complained about, and it sounds like its fixed now. Never really used stealth much myself, so I don't really know how it was broken.

Space Quest, I loved that series as a kid. It took me two years to beat the first game, which wasn't helped by one situation where you needed to type 'put on jetpack' and not 'put jetpack on'.

Uh, you could be the biggest bastard in the world the whole game through and it didn't affect your ending. It all boiled down to who you sided with. On the flip side you could have been the nicest vampire that ever sucked blood, avoiding fights and sparing humans but side with the 'wrong' faction at the end of the game and you get a bad ending. The ending(s) were not helped by the plot being a

I personally think it is. Its the closest thing to Planescape Torment I've seen in a long, long time and thats a very good thing. I do wish the Spirit Eater mechanic had been handled better though... and the camera still stinks but thats a carry-over from NwN 2.
