I agree with Achilles. Being rich in terms of wealth is far less important than being happy with what you have. I have a home to live in, food in the refrigerator, heck a refrigerator to put food in, electricity, fresh running water, and a dog that thinks I’m freaking awesome. And most important of all no debt. I’m the richest man I know. Jeff Bezos has nothing on me. there have been two times in my life when I have been completely and horrifyingly in debt. Nobody can be happy in that situation.

If it were up to me I would get rid of the divisions. No more east central or west. Just the National League and the American League. There will be six playoff seeds per league based on record. The first and second seed gets a automatic advancement to the second round. The sixth seed plays a three-game series in the Home park of the third seed. Fifth plays in the Home park of the fourth. Three games over three days beginning the day after the season ends. Then it’s a best-of-five for the division series in the best of seven for the league championship series.

Exactly why the second wild card and that one-game playoff sucks

We’re coming into the homestretch. The National League is a total snoozer. The NL West is a two horse race between the Dodgers and the Giants which is interesting. The Padres have faded into mediocrity. The Rockies have been wallowing in mediocrity all along. I don’t think the Diamondbacks are aware of the season has even started. The wildcard race for the second position has a little bit of drama. But whoever it is is going to be devoured alive by the team that does not win the national league west. The American League is where it’s at. Lots of drama. The Yankees have won 12 games in a row now. They are for games back of the AL best Tampa Bay rays. Boy does it feel nice to say that LOL. The White Sox are in total control of the central, and it’s a three horse race in the west between the Astros, Athletics, and mariners. The American league wildcard race is hot. The Indians, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Mariners, Athletics, Yankees, are all in hot contention. Right now the Yankees have the lead for the first seed in the wild card by +3. Lots of drama. Most teams have 35 games or fewer to go. It’s crunch time baby!

I’d rather be a dwarf. I heard something about “roaring fires, malt beer, red meat off the bone“.

The reporter asked about what would happen if there were still Americans there after the deadline. So Biden thought he’d make a little joke about that. That is not funny. The fate that likely awaits someone in that situation is not a laughing matter. And the decisions he made are largely responsible for their condition. Not that he decided to withdraw. But the haphazard way in which it was executed. Like I said, joking about that makes you a f——-g a——-e. You guys would be far less forgiving if the last idiot had done the exact same thing.

Being killed in the evacuation is not the same thing as being killed after being left behind.

You don’t joke about leaving Americans stranded in a place like Afghanistan because your administration is incapable of planning a proper withdrawal. He has caught a lot of flak that he doesn’t deserve. Mainly all the US weapons that were now in the hands of the Taliban. They were not abandoned by the US military they were abandoned by the Afghan army. That’s a distinction that seems to be lost at all of the people gleefully reporting how well armed the Taliban is now. But when military leaves if even a single American is left behind and then publicly executed by the Taliban or one of the terrorist groups that man will be politically dead. If he isn’t already. God knows he deserves to be. They are already preparing for that eventuality. What do you think they mean by “we will evacuate every American who wants to leave“. They are already preparing to look the country in the eye and say anyone who was left behind obviously didn’t want to leave. Well also one thing. Our previous president made Nixon look honest. Our current president is making Carter look strong. Bidens stupid little smirks and Harrises incessant cackling when asked questions about this disaster they are leading are doing them and their office is no credit.

I can’t imagine there is any other political philosophy out there that seems to annoy people as much as libertarianism. Imagine a society where you can do what you like, get married whom ever you like, do what you like in the home and property that you exclusively own, do what you will with the body that is exclusively yours, keep most of the money that you earn and do what you wish with it, and the only restrictions on you is not to hurt, steal from, or otherwise infringe on anyone else. Who would want to live in a hell like that?
