  1. Some people liked it, some people hated it. It was more subtle than KOTOR1, in which the game informed you when to speak to your party members; many people liked the machinations to be more subtle, in which trial and error was necessary to discover your party's preferences. Trial and error, or liberal use of an "Influence Guide" or Walkthrough.
  2. I like 'em all, pretty much. I find myself not using Disciple or BaoDur that often, though; perhaps it's because I'm a guy and I prefer to see Mira or Visas or Handmaiden running aboot. Actually, I kinda find Disciple to be annoying; the voice acting is fantastic, but his character strikes me as a boring idealist who is more of a nag than Kreia. I like Mira's snappy attitude and Handmaiden's firm but sensible personality. Kreia makes a great mentor, with her Kenobi-style lines, and she's got a great backstory. I'm actually liking GO-TO this time around. He can be funny at times, with his comments, but he is an arrogant little fat one. I liked his backstory, too, when I finally got him to reveal it. HK47 is of course as fantastic as always. My wife always laughs when he's in my group, because of his hilarious comments. And, if you go DS, the bonuses from his Jedi extermination seminar are great. Mandalore is kinda cool, but kinda limited. I do like the fact that they did something with his old character, though. Quite a noble goal, in fact, to reunite the scattered Mandalorians. Atton is a great character, but it took me a looooooong time to stop picturing "Harry Senate from 'Boston Public'" every time I heard him speak. Great backstory there, too, but he sure gets funky lookin' if you go Darkside. And then he asks *you* about *your* creases?! HAhahaha. Hanharr is neat, too. Kinda the anti-Chewbacca: Giant, but not gentle. Psychotic and off-balance. When you beat him like an overgrown mule, he falls into line. Very twisted relationship. I like Bao Dur also, but I find myself more interested in his techie skills than his Jedi abilities. For that reason, I haven't been converting him the last few times I've played. He has a great backstory, a dry wit (such as the joke about how he lost his arm), and is relatively calm for someone who was so driven by revenge in his past. Good contrast by having the voice acting sound almost subdued, even as he's describing the horrors of his past in the war.
  3. I think G0-T0's name is hilarious. For those of us old enough to have studied BASIC... you remember ... 10 GOTO 20 that type of stuff. EDIT: I also like how Cannoks will eat apparenly anything; it's amazing what you find in their bellies.
  4. What about Red? Redheads can be fiery... and it would go well with her maroon and black outfit. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part!
  5. Also, found out today that if Revan was female and LS, the hologram in T3 is of Carth, with basically the same statements (gender reversed).
  6. Here are some of the details about some of those abilities... my guy was only level 9 as a Maurader in this save-game, though. I can vouch that the bonus from Master Fury to STR works, but the extra attacks do not.
  7. Indeed. The negative stuff should be pruned or moved to a different thread. Mods? Anyone? Bueller? Sidious?
  8. Hahahaha! GO ATTON! :D I've definitely not heard those lines in the final game -- guess they were too naughty for LA or something. /shrug!
  9. Live Long and Prosper ... unless you are a Jedi!
  10. I believe the term is "pulling a Bindo."
  11. There's a little movie, yah, when you get Visas on your tail with those events. I assume that's what you mean?
  12. /yawn I never tried to "put someone in his place;" I would never be so immature and childish. I was pointing out the basics of netiquette and board postings -- if you come to a board as a relatively new person, post in the wrong forum, then express anger at the people who are posting in said forum as is appropriate for that forum, then you only have yourself to blame. Here are some netiquette guidelines to help you in your future attempts to facilitate communications: http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html It is too bad that you took offense. Perhaps one day you will learn to accept constructive criticism. After all, anger leads to the dark side...
  13. Kreia: "Let us FLY ... to the Jedi Enclave!" Jedi Council: "We're Knights of the Jedi Enclave! We dance with holocrons we've saved; We do routines and chorus scenes With footwork both sure and brave! We dine well here on Dantooine, We eat Kath, Kinrath and Soylent Green!" doot doot doo Kreia: "On second thought, let's not go to the Jedi Enclave. It is a silly place."
  14. Great voice acting! Especially Kelly Hu... oof (w00t) Great fun playing it over and over (for me, at least). Losing Influence with the wife from playing it over and over! Improved UI! Comments from NPCs about your appearance when you go lightside (glow) or darkside (plague wrinkles)! Boss around a Wookie! Handmaiden spars in her underpants! Abuse your droid! Or, love your droid!
  15. From this page: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/s...i_influence.txt .-----. |Atton \_____________________________________________________________________ |------/ \ | Atton is one of the first companions you meet. He is a decent character | | with a good amount of skills, and combat abilities. | | | | What you Get: Atton, after Nar Shaddaa, and with the right Influence, can | | be trained to become a Jedi Sentinal. | | | | Lowdown: Atton likes to be respected and taken seriously. He has trust | | issues, so almost every line that goes "I trust you" will be | | accepted. | | | | For Dark Siders, Atton will always gain Influence when you murder | | the innocent. Just tell him that it was the right thing to do. | | Check out the Dark Side Hist List below for a list of people to | | whack. | | | | < PERAGUS > | | | | - Harbinger - Once aboard the Harbinger, Kreia and Atton will have | | a line. You can gain Influence with Kreia or Atton here by | | supporting either of their ideas. | | | | - Harbinger 2 - When Atton talks about "having a bad feeling" ask | | about it, and give him the "We'll have to be careful, then. But | | we have to keep moving." to gain Influence. | | | | < TELOS > | | | | - Hidden Base - Ask any of the Handmaidens about your companions | | BEFORE you get them out of jail to learn about Atton's Echani | | training. Talk to Atton about this once, quit the conversation. | | Ask about it again, then say that it is an asset (do NOT use the | | PERSUADE line) to gain influence. | | | | < EBON HAWK > | | | | - After the second "listening" to thoughts Force upgrade with | | Kreia you hear Atton counting cards in his head. While talking | | to Atton about this, apologize to him to gain some influence. | | | | < DANTOOINE > | | | | - Near Khoonda - Bao-Dur, Atton and Visas will gain influence if | | you give Saedhe the Atmospheric Sensors for 3000 after commenting | | on the hidden intelligence gathering equipment. (TE Whelan) | | | | - Khoonda Area - Talk to the mechanic near the Ebon Hawk, ask him | | "why so busy" and follow that up with the [Awareness] line and the | | [Persuade] line to get him to tell you things. This use of your | | persuasive skills gives you influence with Atton (even if Kreia is | | there). | | | | < NAR SHADDAA > | | | | - Docks - Takee Kreia and one other companion (Atton, Bao-Dur, | | Disciple or Handmaiden) and complete the Lootra quest to the Light | | Side, such that she is rescued. Return to Lootra with Kreia and the | | other person, Kreia gets mad, but doesn't lose influence. Keep | | defending your actions here, and say that "Say what you will, but | | if it meant your life, there is nothing I would not do... for you, | | or any of my allies." Atton says "thanks" and you get | | influence. | | | | - Refugee Sector - Near the Serroco base in the Refugee | | Sector is a bad airspeeder that you can repair, or let Atton do | | it for Influence and XP. This can be repeated infinitely. This | | cannot be done after G0-T0's yacht. | | | | - Main Area - Around the giant pit in the center of the first | | area of Nar Shaddaa, a citizen (not the first one you find) is | | being hassled by some Exchange thugs. Almost no matter how you | | handle this you gain Influence with Atton. | | | | - Refugee Quarter - Talk to the sick man by the entrance to | | the refugee camp, and heal him with Treat Injury to gain | | Influence. | \___________________________________________________________________________/
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but... when you find the Atmospheric Sensors and confront Saedhe, you get an option to claim you're going to see how much Azkul would pay to know his operations are being monitored. I haven't seen any way to follow through with this threat, though. Anyone? Bueller?
  17. Sounds like you would be happy with a different game than the KOTOR series. I suggest uninstalling them and giving them to someone who might enjoy them. Doing a wipe of your memory core regarding KOTOR and KOTOR2 would also help.
  18. Levi's? Huskies? Jordache? It's a veritable pool of jeans! :D
  19. You don't have to slaughter people to get his Influence, but if you agree with him often at the beginning, when Influence becomes available in Peragus, you should get a little bit. Also, the more "good" deeds you do to help people, Atton will gain Influence (if he's in your party). Also, in Nar Shadaa, if he's in your party when you're repairing the Air Speeder by the Serroco thugs, Atton asks to help. If you let him, you'll get Influence. Apologize to him (for Lightside points) after Kreia teaches you to read the surface thoughts of others. He digs that and you gain Influence.
  20. [Atton in the cell in Peragus, upon meeting the Exile]: "I find your lack of pants disturbing." [Visquis to Hanharr, at his underground Dueling Arena]: "Get in there, you big furry oaf!" [Handmaiden, upon seeing the Ebon Hawk]: "They came in that thing? They're braver than I thought." [Atton to the Exile, about Kreia]: "Where did you dig up that old fossil?" [HK47]: "[statement]: Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a blaster at your side, kid."
  21. It's not our fault if you can't read the forum titles, forum descriptions, and comprehend what they mean. You came into a Spoilers forum, and you got a spoiler. No big thing. Move on already. And instead of just brushing it off or ignoring it, you had to lay into the guy, and thus this forum's community at large. Very uncool.
  22. I'm pretty sure that the voice of Davik is the same voice actor used for the guy in charge of the TSF...
  23. Is it just me, or does Vaklu look an awful lot like Lucas? /ponder
  24. You are in the spoiler forum. You have to expect these things. ;-) If you had read my Post you would had read this : Its unpleasant when posters don't read carefully like you ... & him . Usaly when i do this i at lease say "i'm sorry" , but then again thats me . & most of all no hard feeling cause gaming's posts is just for fun ! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What I was trying to say is that in the Spoiler Forum people aren't going to watch what they write because this is the place to discuss everything openly. Obviously you learned more than you wanted, but given the forum learning more than you want can easily happen. Even some of the thread titles can be spoilers. A spoiler forum is like a minefield. Sometimes you trip a mine when you don't want to. ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. The "unpleasant posters" are the ones who wade into the Spoilers forum then yell at people when a spoiler is revealed. You could have asked in a different section of the forums than the "Spoilers" section if you truly wished to avoid any spoilers. That's why I don't read the Spoilers forum until I've finished the game and have exhausted all other avenues of information. Because I know that a Spoilers forum will have spoilers.
