  1. Two ways: Random drop or random merchant listing, Or: Side with the female Rodian on Nar Shadaa in the little trade dispute, then visit her after restoring order to Dantooine and talk to her about establishing new trade routes, and ... there's now a nice new Silver Crystal in her wares for sale.
  2. He's a very goody-goody type, difficult to turn to the darkside. Much easier when playing lightside.
  3. Plus, it's a way to show that MSG in Star Wars is still bad for you. BOOOOoooo bad pun...
  4. "These are not the speeders you're looking for, Mr. Highway Patrolman."
  5. The random name generator can come up with some fun results, after about 50 clicks.
  6. OH! Crud, now I've gotta try that part again! Thanks!
  7. If you have Atton in your party when you first get Bao-Dur, he jokes about turning in "the Zabrak" to the first group of mercenaries you encounter.
  8. I'm really trying to like G0T0 in this latest playthrough, but so far... it ain't happenin' ...
  9. I dunno, I kinda felt that Atris was too cloistered away to have done that... but it's interesting... Personally, I always thought that Kreia snuck aboard the Ebon Hawk before the Sith ship attacked it (using her stealth and Force powers, much like how she stalks the Disciple in some scenes). She had hatched her plan regarding the Exile because of her new view of the Force, etc., and she just had to get in close and make herself the player's mentor in order to manipulate and mold toward that end. So, she waited for the ship's attack and then decided to "play dead." /shrug
  10. With all the nods to the previous SW movies, I think it would be kinda cool if the player's face was under the Nihilus mask, reminiscent of the "Empire Strikes Back" scene. I never really thought about it like that until this post. Danke for the brain fuel.
  11. I always kinda assumed that was mostly a plot device, what with the player being a "leader" who others followed, to explain the game mechanic of why very different characters in your party would automatically start blasting away at whatever you were fighting. And also a plot device to give Kreia's bond that funky "Mentor" +experience effect, and to allow her voice in your head to explain certain areas, no matter with whom you grouped.
  12. I'm still a big fan of Yuthura (and Juhani)!
  13. Good start. This book helped me a lot when I was starting out (and it helped the guys from "Homestarrunner.com!") http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/067...4374470-6874337
  14. Hehe, I didn't know that either until I saw it here: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthmaul/?id=eu
  15. Heyas, I realize that Maul (a Zabrak) was born on Iridonia, but I hadn't seen that race referred to so often as Iridonians as I have in KOTOR2. Did this confuse anyone else? Or am I just old and foggy headed?
  16. I dig Obsidian. Kudos for making a very fun game! Love the upgrades to the interface and utility of the game mechanics. Love the storyline (except for a few points). Love playing the game through multiple times in multiple fashions to see how the different Prestige Classes feel, etc.
  17. Atton is a simple tool if you go darkside, easy to convince him she was an evil manipulative Jedi who broke his brain, and thus get him to swear his loyalty to you. He's also an easy tool if you're a pretty chicky who bats her eyes at him nicely. I know he's been in prison a while, but still... Seems like a kinda slightly spineless Harry Senate-kissing-Dana-Poole to me! JK!
  18. Not that I've found.
  19. Ed Asner definitely made this character shine, though.
  20. Well, except for the minor boost to your Force Points from getting the mask, yah... neat trophy, though.
  21. Great questions and great avatar, Forna! All the more reasons for us to get a patch! Hopefully, one day...
  22. Yah, trickery or false impressions from the promos aside, I think they set up Nihilus to be a ravenous destroyer of life who was weak against the Exile, due to the Exile's connection to the echo in the force and Malachor, which spawned Nihilus. So basically, when Nihilus is facing his "creator," especially when he tries to drain away his life, his "uber" powers are very limited. Yah, kind of anti-climactic, but I think it kinda sets the tone about this different plotline: how the Echo and Malachor has to be faced and reconciled (or mastered) by the Exile.
