  1. Okay, when you talk to all the characters in KotOR I (and many in KII), they all mention how Revan took at least 1/3 of the Republic Fleet with him, and how many later joined his cause. Now, did Bioware (and maybe even Obsidian) misportray the Sith Fleet? At the battle of the Star Forge, every ship looks like the Leviathan (which was an "Interdictor Cruiser", probably one of the most primitive types that more likely than not just scrambled one's hyperdrive, since the gravity-well projector was relatively new by the Galactic Civil War). But, Carth knows the Leviathan as his ex-mentor's vessel. Perhaps the Sith Fleet should have more Republic-looking ships? I know that the Star Forge made a bunch of newer ships (like the fighters, obviously), but could it have really remade a bunch of ships almost exactly like the ones over M5? (Not to mention the Ravager, which was also a Republic ship). Just wanna know what you think. If the fleet WAS misportrayed, then the reason could have been to show which fleet was the good guy, and which was the bad one... Still, wouldn't it really have driven the point home if the Republic was fighting ships that looked exactly like their own? Hmmm...
  2. It can be damaged? ... Wow, I know so little about Bao-Dur... I didn't even know he could be Jedi until a few weeks ago... And I'd gained full influence with everybody else 'cept Mandalore 'cause I always got him way late in the game...
  3. Ah, crud... I can't edit my post now... Well, let me just say one thing that I was going to add in somewhere after the "Mad Witch" deal: I was just going to say how Kreia is fatalistic... yep, that's the best word for her, other than insane, sociopathic, egomaniacal, and others... Come to think of it, there are a lot of good words I could call her...
  4. More or less, I suppose... Something more: There are a whole lot more than just the Jedi and Sith to "dance to it", as evidenced by the insanely high amounts of more ethnically-focused Jedi Robes in Kotor II... plus, there are also Dark Jedi, and untrained Forse Users that serve the Light Side. The Jedi and Sith have just existed for forever, so the average citizen only thinks of them when they see things flying around a robe-wearing bearded guy (stereotipical, I know, but it gets my point across). Notice how even Dark Jedi are usually known as "Dark" Jedi, which goes even further to show how the Jedi are the only Force Users known to the general Star Wars populace.
  5. Actually, several of your dialogue options reveal that it was Kreia who suggested the idea; the Exile had no real clue, depending on what you choose to say. Also, about the whole "Will of the Force" controversy developing: You really can't know. Kreia, the "Mad Witch" of Star Wars, believes that choice is non-existant. But, if such were the truth, then all teachings, Jedi, Sith, or otherwise, would be worthless. Why would the Jedi teach to avoid the Dark Side of such a fall would happen whether or not you tried to avoid it? Same goes for the Sith, really, only from their own point of view.
  6. *Claps* Only beef with that statement: Jolee hates the Sith. He will not bow to them, and he likely resents them for "taking his wife away from him" or something like that.
  7. But the Jedi do that a lot, too, so doesn't that make him fit right in?
  8. And there is her flaw. But, we're getting too close to going back to the 30 bazillion page about the nature of the Force from years ago, so let's not go there, unless you really want to.
  9. Then couldn't you call them something like "ex-Jedi" or "maverick Jedi" or something that signifies a willingness to use "necessary Force" without suggesting somebody that is supposed to be both good and evil at the same time? ...
  10. Wrong! The Exile cut himself off from the Force when everybody that he was bonded to, died in horrible agony.
  11. Exactly. Anybody been around here long enough to remember my ancient helicopter/airplane analogy? ...
  12. So? That's just him being himself in times of stress... I see where you're coming from now... I just hate all mention of 'grey characters' is all.
  13. Not if he's a hole. Nihilus feeds on the bond between life and the Force. So, with the Exile only connected to one and not the other (he's obviously more or less alive, I'm fairly certain), Nihilus had nothing to 'snap off' to release the energy, almost as if the cell tried to use ADP instead of ATP (which could, in theory, work, but nowhere near as well, unlike with Nihilus and his victims). So, when he tried to 'suck' the Exile (...), he only wasted his strength before realizing 2 things: 1, that he was starving, 2, that he just wasted more strength drying to drink from a dry bottle. I think that the Exile does bond with people who feel the Force, which gives him access to it. It's a TYPE of Force Bond, but he does it willie-nillie, which gave him access to the Force again through the other people/things/places that he connected to.
  14. Well, granted, there was no reason for him to be neutral... he should've just been good, but perhaps he was grey because, instead of trying to influence the character's actions, he was content to observe and council... You only earn LS points for doing (most of the time, at least... ).
  15. But think of all the REAL fake people you're hurting, causing REAL fake pane and messing with REAL fake lives!
  16. Ragh! So much explaining and arguing to do, so little time!!!! The Exile forms bonds. When people you're bonded to die, it leaves a 'hole' in you (so says Jedi Masters and Kreia). So, the Exile bonds with a lot of peeps; they die, and (s)he becomes a giant hole, like somebody unplugging the giant bath tub of the Force. I could explain more, but I don't have the time right now, but let me just say the the Exile doesn't mimic the Sith Assassins, they mimic him/her. Edit: Okay, I've got more time now. (BTW: I haven't the time to be 'politically correct', so, for the Exile, the 'he' could also mean 'she' if your Exile is a female, just so that I avoid any trouble; as far as I'm concerned, neither Revan nor the Exile could/should have any set gender, since that'll only cause issues). The Exile does not leech life (yet), they just 'connect' to people, and sap the Force off of them, which gives them back their Force Sensitivity (and, perhaps, also broke through whatever 'wall' the Dark Side version of cutting off the Force built around Kreia; the Jedi, when they cut off the Force from somebody, actually just build a 'wall' of LS energy around them, 'feeding' their body the Force, but not permitting them to use it, like those gum things that have nicotine, but not 'real' nicotine: it gives it to them, but it's far from the same thing). So, the Exile sucks off the Force from people, but not yet life, although he starts if he goes to the Dark Side. Now, Nihilus is the great chemistry lesson of this game. For any highschool sophomores, most of you should have learned by now about ATP (if you haven't, don't worry, you probably will soon enough; I did back then. But, if you don't, then don't worry: I'll explain it to you now. ). ATP has 3 'phosphate groups' bound together, which takes quite a bit of energy. When you break the seal on one of the phosphate groups, all the energy that it was holding to keep it attached is released in a brilliant, energy producing, 'flash'. Let's look at what Nihilus does in that light. Visas (and Kreia, I believe) says that Nihilus kills things, feeding off the energy that the separation of them and life (or the Force and life, or the Force and them, or any one of those). Basically, he's forcing the reaction to occur, breaking the seal on one of the phosphate groups to release a lot of energy, which he merrily gobbles up. The only real difference between ATP and Nihilus' life-sucking powers: ATP can have that phosphate group reattached at a later date, making it entirely reusable, whereas Nihilus' victim isn't likely to come back to life any time soon, leaving the broken seal just like that: broken. Well, I really just wasted a bit of everybody's time, but if you actually lack a life so much as to read my stuff, ask questions or argue with it. If I'm wrong about something, I'd like to know, so that I can revise stuff.
  17. There is no GREY SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, had to rant there for a minute... In Star Wars, you're either good, bad, or a little of both at DIFFERENT times. The only people that 'fools' call Grey Jedi are Jedi that don't serve the Council any more, like Kyle Katarn (maybe) or Zez-Kai-Ell, or Jolee Bindo. That DOES NOT mean that they are 'evil'. Even good guys can use Dark Side powers (Luke using Choke, Katarn using insanely powerful Grip or Lightning, even if he is 'good'), but they always serve a side. ("Apathy is Death"). If you want neutrality, then play D&D. If you want polar opposites, with people trying to find where they fit in it all, then play Star Wars.
  18. *Bad cackly imitation accent* Wipe them out. All of them.
  19. Wonder what a half twilek/human would look like... If its your own 'brand' of gaming, then it might work just peachy. Kinda interesting, too, although some things might be pushing it...
  20. At last you see the truth, Jediphile... or lack thereof, I suppose. I doubt Nihilus was stuck on Malachor because of Revan, but the whole natural boundary seems likely... Although, perhaps it was Nihilus that Revan was trying to stop with his/her fall to the Dark Side?
  21. Or, Kae could have been a student of Kreia. (I'm still not convinced of either way, although there are still two main arguements: Yes, No.)
  22. Exactly. It is a fair assumption to make that Kreia had some sort of knowledge of Kae, maybe even a prior association... I still think it another possibility that Kae might have been one of Kreia's 'failures', whom Revan sought out because she was talked of highly by his first and last Master... Maybe not, though.
