  1. I've come across a few such glitches - only a couple. There's one bug, though, that I kept having when I was lining up actions in the action tray - I would cast a force power, and then immediately commit an attack action, and the next attack action would cast the Force power while it commited the attack action. It was handy with the heal spell, but nonetheless sort of frustrating, and it's hard to imagine them missing this if any QA was done at all. Apparently there wasn't. Was it worth it? I think so. Great story-telling, and I think it was a far superior RPG experience to the first game. It just wasn't as complete as it should've been.
  2. Halo 2 didn't actually HAVE a plot, so...
  3. Look on the bright side - it might just make the game more difficult :/
  4. ?? Where did that come from? What do you mean?
  5. Interesting... it could, in fact, be related to how far the engine has been pushed.
  6. I liked Atris more, strangely enough, and I was one of Bastila's biggest fans. Atris feels more developed to me... though more interaction would've been nice. And boy... nothing with Bastila matched up to that, I think. I could go through that over and over again... (pretending to) watch the reaction in her face, the way her voice changed. The whole thing with her was done extremely well.
  7. I love kreia. She's an amazing character. I doubt she's that popular with most people, but she's by far the most well-done of them all. I just wish they had paid that sort of time and attention to the rest of them. That said, after the end of the game... god, I HATED HER. I wanted to take back all of the nice things that I said to gain influence with her, hahaha...
  8. Umm... I don't think anyone wanted it to come out unfinished, and I don't think it actually had any effect on LA's decision. I don't know of a game that's anticipated, and people don't perk their ears up for an early release. The general concensus around THESE boards, as I recall, was that no one wanted it rushed - but they did want it as soon as possible. However, what I do find annoying is people who expect it to be everything, try to push for the release, and then get pissed when it isn't everything they ever dreamed.
  9. They shouldn't bother upgrading the engine. They should focus on refining what they have now, and combining everything that was good about both games in the series. It's been shown to us all quite thoroughly that that was a bad decision on the part of Obsidian/LA, that the most important thing was FULL content, not just more of it, and portions of it improved... parts of it left out completely. I don't think I would want them to screw up with another untested engine.
  10. Yeah... give them another year to make it complete.
  11. I didn't, and I just used master sniper shot/rapid shot. Worked like a dream... and it was pretty fun to do, as well. I see much more talk of strategy and difficulty with this game than I ever did with the first game. Wait... but wasn't the difficulty still supposed to be broken? Hm.
  12. You find out why Atton left the Sith, yes. I had the impression that *was* his real name, but he had taken some other I don't know about the other two - I suspect not on Mira, though.
  13. I guess they aren't working on a sequel, then. I didn't have any freezes or spontaneously ending cut-scenes. I don't know if this sounds like a QA/bug-fixing problem, or it's really just bad discs. I don't know about this, "Bad Story" bit, either. That's certainly not the universal idea, from what I've seen. The crashing on the last planet? Why was that? It was said, over and over again, that (or something equivalent), and ships plummeted to their death because of it. I won't say that you're wrong in your opinion, and I will say that the ending could've played out more clearly. You might say coherently, I don't really care... I just know that not everyone's experience was that bad.
  14. Ok, so it's not just me. I'm not crazy. I'm american, by the way. If it's just a matter of culture, I suppose this game has a chance to do well... as it should.
  15. He said that the Exile was a powerful Jedi, too. Maria said he wasn't jedi, and I concurred, and that was in referrence to his power. I agree that a Jedi is made by his actions... but he can't be called a Jedi without the Force. I think they were talking about what he was, the nature of his power, rather than the nature of his actions - they were approving of his actions so far, but saw in him horrible potential... although they didn't understand that that potential could be used for good.
  16. Nope If you rush, and I mean REALLY rush, you might get it in 10 hours or so. This game is about 40 hours long. You're around level 12+ when you get your first saber.
  17. I like the thread. A jet-pack spacesuit would solve the problem of slow or unrealistic space walking. And there were romance options, they just weren't the same sort as they were in the first game. There wasn't enough direct interaction to satisfy most people. I don't think they need to give you party member quests... just more interaction. I personally feel like the companion quests of the first game were too formulaic... although doing quests like that is great, if you mix it up a bit more. And don't give us anything as pointless and annoying as the Sunry quest. I don't like the idea of "less" influence - in fact, I'd want more of it. But there should be other ways to get things out of people. There should be other ways to talk to people, ways that go beyond influence... in real life, people don't refuse to talk about the weather with you just because they don't absolutely worship you. I also think it should be harder to completely bring them to your alignment - in order to do that, there should be some convincing. Also, with the influence system... questions that you won't get an answer to, shouldn't even be a dialogue option. Period. As it is now, it makes you ask the same questions over and over and over again just to see if they have anything new to say... and there wasn't anything that told you when you couldn't get more out of them, so you could keep asking the same questions for eternity and never get anything of it. I'm fine with the NPC's saying the same thing - that's minor, I think, and not something that's going to change for YEARS to come, if it ever does. I would also like more NPC faces, but there's really only so much you can do with this engine. You can add 50 NPC faces, which I can imagine would be no small accomplishment, especially if the NPC faces are more detailed, but it makes almost no difference with all the people sitting in cantina's and roaming the streets.
  18. They also said you weren't a jedi - you were a "Cipher," in fact. Although perhaps you did something special.
  19. Except: If Bioware did it, though, they could revive some of the former party members and start off in Republic space. I would ultimately want to see what this "threat" was, though.
  20. I used to think that, too. People just really don't like to think GL might not be wrong all the time, I guess.
  21. In response to Maco's statement:
  22. Do you know if there ARE other galaxies where the force has no meaning, Drakron?
  23. They should license the facial stuff from Half-Life 2, and then make their own engine.
  24. And it's funny... why, just the other day people were complaining about how badly done the DS path was in this game. Little do they realize they don't have to commit to doing *every* possible evil act to be Darkside.
  25. I agree completely.... well said. A mid-life-crisis amnesiac can only be so interesting, as far as the things that form him. Although, if we had a chance to form him... maybe. The Exile's the more interesting hero, though, so I'd still prefer him. I like it if hero's don't have the world revolving around them... but are still very important.
