  1. Not in very much detail, and the dramatic climax is almost non-existant compared to the first game. You don't get to linger on anything at the end, and you don't get to finish anything... personally... with any of the characters, like you did in the first game. I wouldn't have minded that, actually. The ending of this game was far more interesting... but it had less emotional impact, with regards to the NPC's in your party. Except for Kreia, the ending totally destroyed any possibility of you feeling like the NPC's were real people. There were amazingly interesting as characters, which is why I liked the game - but it felt lacking to me in that the character's weren't as interactive as they were in the first game. More dynamic to the story and your character's choices, certainly, but not as interactive.
  2. That sounds about right. I also heard they were in some financial troubles, too, so that could have something to with all of this rushing.
  3. I never said Sion created them, but Goto sure as heck wasn't responsible. That they're somewhat in league with Sion is recognizable more than them being in league with Goto. Why did he SAY sit down, stay put and wait for rescue? HE also commented that Rescue was coming very soon. Oh, but of course it's goto. Sorry for being presumptuous as to say it's Sion. Err, wait... I never did say that, did I?
  4. I know you aren't. I wasn't talking about you...
  5. From what I've seen of the Jedi Knight series, it was an excuse to show off the star wars license. I didn't care for any of it. Yeah, I guess I'm just a nazi, and I'm going to hell for it, too.
  6. Me too. I don't think it was the ending... but it really wasn't as dramatic as the first game, as cheesy as the Malak and Star forge plot actually was. It was... quieter... and I liked that, in a way, but I was expecting and hoping for something more dramatic from a star wars game.
  7. NO. You see Force image of something that looks like, but is not really him.
  8. I suppose K2 doesn't have any of the high points that were in the first game. The first game relied more on you pushing forward to revelations, where this one had a comparatively poor revelation and great build-up.
  9. Hmm... no. But you do get to perform a few intimate rituals with a couple of them. And yes, I mean ritual in the most literal sense. In any case, when I was talking about preferring Atris over Bastila, it was because how she was written was simply more interesting to me. Granted, though, Bastila's end was far more dramatic (and I liked it better) than Atris' end... Hmm. Wound in the Force. Maybe the Exile just needs a hug :/ Hehe.
  10. Because the Jedi Knight series was a rip-off of the original movies, and didn't have a plot like KotOR does of it's own. If the prequels can come up with new themes, so can the video games... but the occasional star wars theme here or there wouldn't be bad. It was a little weird that the beginning scroller had the star wars theme, and then you never ever heard it again throughout the game... or any discernible variation of it.
  11. The people around here are pretty tame about how "horrible" the game turned out, actually. What you've seen around these boards is nothing compared to what I've seen with... a certain unnamed group of people about the internet. This particular anonymous group goes hating and hating and hating on it, and even goes so far as too assume Obsidian was being vindictive and hateful to the fans of the original game. No, I think a lot of the hating of K2 is pretty genuine, sadly... and I don't think it bodes well for Obsidian's success with this title, which had so much potential to far surpass the first one in many ways.
  12. An original score is better than something derived from the movies. I must say that I heard certain pieces more than I would've liked - and the "Jedi" piece didn't remind me of Jedi at all. It was still a very good piece... and it was extremely effective at the climax of the game on Dantooine, and I liked it for that. It seemed out of place, though.
  13. Ahh. What happens on the freeway when your eyes give out? LA was Obsidian's eyes and ears, but they chose not to be. I'm all for Obsidian taking responsibility, but...
  14. How do you know they didn't spend 5 weeks planning the ending, and 5 minutes trying to force the implementation? In fact, knowing the history of these devs, I'd say that was more the case.
  15. K2 is not X-box live functional. The XBOX version cannot be patched. I still think LA should fix the PC version, though, to heck with delays. They have their money, now give us a finished product.
  16. Malachor V Mis-spelling. Also, I'm not sure I agree that HK-50 was working for Go-to. Perhaps you've gotten more and learned more about Goto than I have, but his droid said that the HK's under his command seemed to have just had a long-dormant aspect of their programming activated. Also, an HK-50 tries to kill you on Peragus - were he under the direct influence of Goto, he wouldn't, because Goto really wants you alive, and only alive. Also, the droids after that try to kill you, with absolutely no intention to keep you alive. Why would the HK-50 on Peragus tell you to sit down, stay put, and wait to be rescued - when SION's (captured) ship is the one that comes to "rescue" you? Also, you might include that many more than just the exile survived Malachor, and everyone left behind - save the Exile - was corrupted. Other than that, a couple of things I hadn't thought of, and it's a good thing someone did this.
  17. In real life, though, if someone worships you, it's not so much they lose their own sense of right and wrong, as they think your will fits that sense of right and wrong. It's not perfect, but it's better than what Fable does, anyway. It's also an interesting way of doing things.
  18. I, frankly, don't understand the problem, and I was far more cynical about how the game would turn out than just about anyone else I heard talk about the game in anticipation. It certainly seems like a rush job... but the experience is still good. I've been playing it constantly, even after my first play-through, and I like it better than the first game. And while the game is supposed to focus on replayability, it's a much more special experience the first time around than K1 ever was for me.
  19. It has pretty fun gameplay. After playing through it and being thoroughly disappointed, I didn't play it again.
  20. No other mandalorians. Also:
  21. I don't really understand how Fable got to be so hyped up. I never expected it to be all that - it was supposed to be an RPG, but there was never any mention of plot, characters, and I knew there was no way they could make it a fulfilling experience on a social "simulation" engine alone. Mainly because social simulation just doesn't work under our current understanding of programming or the human mind, and if it ever did, the best it would get you is something akin to a Soap Opera, or maybe Sims 2.
  22. Well, I know that he hasn't played the beta build, but I seriously doubt he really meant to trick anyone by saying that. And I'm not sure why he was joking about it, if that was his intention... as seems to be the case.
