Could you bumb your way up to 1/4 light/dark side then after getting visas and you up class... then Take you light/dark all the way down ^^?
-
I agree with everything you said And it's true... Kotor ds or ls ending wasn't much better. But It did leave me with a feeling of... closure I guess. Kotor2s ending left me wanting more, and maybe that was the hole point? It's an amazing game. EDIT- Any story that leaves you actually feeling something for the characters and their struggle deserves praise

I really liked the Weapon Switching and the fact that Blaster weren't completely useless by the end of the game. I also dig the new lightsaber upgradable parts, and in general the hole item creation thing, that made having high skills not so useless =) The new combat animations are wicked. The datapad and empty container things are awsome too!

Well.. I picked the Watchman. Gotta love having skills for everything !

*sigh* It's not a bug, your system simply can't run the game.

Can I disable ONLY Burst of Speed blur?
Haitoku replied to virus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ah nice! Too bad there isn't one for the original kotor ; ; -
You mean a line going down the center of his face? I get that too.. but only when looking at him from a distance... not a big deal... as for your other example, not sure what you mean. I'm using a ATI x800xl btw.

Can I disable ONLY Burst of Speed blur?

I've been looking for it too... It hurts my eyes ; ; -
Hmmm... I think Kotor1 required 1.3 OGL
-
What model? Dimension what?

I guess this is just my opinion but... *gets flame armor ready* I think the hole Star Wars story is out of George lucas's hand now. The movies... comparing them to the novels/games/comics don't look so great. Considering how much more depth is put into each one.
-
Curious? Was that 7500 Even on the supported list? I know you ran the first one find, but this one needs your card to support ogl 1.4
-
Well, I can't lie... I love them both. I'm playing kotor again (5th time through me thinks XD) as I wait for the kotor2 patch so I can play it a second time through. Kotor seems a bit more interesting now, after playing the second one... and Every time I do some worthless act of charity, I keep expecting Kreai to give me some lecture XD!

The best game I've played in awhile (since kotor =P). Hopefully, they will continue the story! Congratulations Obsidian!

Go for a Radeon x800xl, It's right on par with the Gf6800 gt. Cost about 100$, uses less power, and cools down a bit better Errr, I meant, 100$ less then the 6800 gt

Need assistance downloading OpenGL 1.4 or higher
Haitoku replied to Dkunsberg's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's a little harsh, but for the most part you're probably right. I hate to say it, but even if you do get this to work (or the patch fixes it), you're probably not going to be pleased with the performance of the game. It could be VERY frustrating to play. I find that playing most games on hardware barely meeting minimum requirements is usually not worth playing at all. Minimum requirements are really more of a 'don't bother if you don't have at least this' guideline. If you want to see the 'this game might actually be fun if you have at least this' guideline, look at the recommended requirements. I would suggest going to Newegg.com and getting yourself a video card that's actually designed for gaming. You should be able to find one that will run this game marginally well for under $100. Also, if you don't bump your RAM up to at least 512MB you'll be in for some yucky load times and some lag, but it won't make the game unplayable... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know its harsh... But he doesn't seem to listen o_O -

Haitoku replied to Dkunsberg's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Dkunsberg, You've posted this exact problem many times, and on a few different boards. Everyone has told you, You need a REAL video card to play this game. Instead of spamming the boards, Just do what is suggested, and save up for a PCI or AGP card. -
Driver issue with ATI is nonsence
Haitoku replied to KillMonkey's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I imagine thats also the reason Nv trumps ATI so badly in Doom 3 (well, sm3 too) -
Just curious... I don't know anything about xbox or how it works. It does play off a DVD right? So were exactly does the patch go? Internal harddrive?
-
I think you have to open the one of them with a console, and another with a weapon =/

Driver issue with ATI is nonsence
Haitoku replied to KillMonkey's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, You see ATI continues to focus less and less on OGL games, and because of that newer drivers aren't that great. FYI You don't have to use the 4.11 drivers, You can simply extract the ogl file from them and use it for kotor2 -
combat - too easy? >>>POSSIBLE SPOILERS<<<
Haitoku replied to stoo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Those AOE dark side attacks are kilers... Even in the first game... Just spam them, and the games becomes horribly easy. This time around, I didn't bother to level them much. I kep Lightning at lv 1! -
It's probably gonna be a while.. Considering their only info is "Patch coming soon" which could translate into "Leave us alone"

Halo for PC has Shader Optimization problems that Microsoft and Bungie never corrected once the PC release was out. This is the main reason why it runs so slow even on top-of-the-line rigs, regardless of video card. Also, people are forgetting that just because the KOTOR games graphics aren't on part with HL-2 or Far Cry that they should automatically get 100 FPS. People forget that not only is the engine rendering the graphics, but also running multiple AI strings for the NPCs on each level as well as combat mathematics, etc, etc. For example, the Refugee Camp on Nar Shaddaa. It is a huge area with multiple (vertical) levels along with about 50 NPCs in total all with AI functions associated with them like patrolling certain zones, triggering dialoge choices, combat, etc. KOTOR I and II are CPU intensive games more than anything else. Yes. The game has optimization problems that need to be fixed. I am not disputing that. However, the main point I am trying to make is that just because the graphics look like 2001 graphics that doesn't mean you should automatically expect 100 FPS and realize where the possible slowdowns are occuring on various systems. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that's correct.... You cannot compare a rpg with a game like HL2... HL2 is a very 'simple' game, while KotOR2 is pretty complex <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good points I suppose. Still.. I can't help but get alittle upset when I'm getting 30FPS while looking at a wall lol
