  1. The easiest way would be that the MC would have just been a Padawan(but a promising one, very strong in the force) when he/she got booted from the Jedi Order, making the MC a mere lvl 1 Jedi in the beginning of KotOR II.
  2. Good luck to get the thing running on a modern comp. A Geforce 6800 Ultra was struggling @20fps with that beast of bandwidth True, but we are talking a few years from now. The Unreal engine is expected around 2006! Any game started now would probably coincide with that. Well, KotOR III on a Xbox 2 (or is Xbox Next?) would have a shot then, considering its specs.
  3. You should think twice before posting something like that, these forums are filled people who have read every official and semi-official comicbook that's out there, who will come with equally justifiable arguments on why 'Mind Wipe' is impossible. Eventhough your post does make sense....
  4. Good luck to get the thing running on a modern comp. A Geforce 6800 Ultra was struggling @20fps with that beast of bandwidth And remember, that was in a controlled enviroment.
  5. Exactly. Look, I don't mind if they make it more challenging, but it shouldn't be ridiculously challenging to the point it is nearly impossible to progress. I hate it when they overcompensate and make your opponents TOO tough. I've ran into that before in other games. Be challenging but not so challenging it borders on the stupid. And, I, too, thought the difficulty was just right for this game. This was not Halo. You played this game for the story and the immersion in that story and the experience of playing it. If you're looking to be challenged combat-wise play something else. You got a point there, imagine playing KotOR at 'Legendary'-difficulty would be frustrating even for the most hardcore RPG-players. Obsidian just need to find that balance between 'Easy', 'Normal' and 'Hard'.
  6. Close enough
  7. Think first time playing an RPG, going lvl 8/12 scoundrel/consular, and pressing 'auto-level' all the time. I had to use mines to beat Malak just bearly, no force cure/heal, no master-flurry or master critical attack, and no 'throw lightsaber' or 'force lightning'. It was hard.
  8. I don't know about Hayden, but i think that Ewan has a future moviemaking, since he actually can act.
  9. I refuse to sign up on gamespot and there's a 105 minute queue on fileplanet. I'll think i'll pass until there's a proper trailer out. Thanks anyway.
  10. Simple and pointless. Simple with a point.
  11. What trailer have you seen? The only one i know of concluded only the Telos mining facility.
  12. No on both counts. He was probably too pricey....or perhaps just freaking sick of Star Wars. I'm guessing that he was sick of it. For example, Alec Guiness always said that acting as Obi-Wan was his biggest mistake in Hollywood.
  13. Minus the Ewoks singing 'yub yub', I hope. Yes, minus the 'yub-yub' chanting in the background.
  14. According to a preview(don't remember which), there will be 7 planets in KotOR II(suprise!) with 70 different locations. When looking at the walktrough at gamebanshee.com, i could count the amount of locations in KotOrR to 77. So KotOR II will be pretty much at the same length as its predecessor, if not shorter, depending on the cheer size of those locations.
  15. The three diffirent endings that were presented by the of Deus Ex were wonderful. No matter what you do, there was always a catch. But Deus Ex suffered from the same as KotOR did, and that was the lack of a 'complete' ending, you never saw the consequenses of your actions when the game was finished. When reading the interview at valhalla games, one can be certain that the LS ending won't be a happy ending as in Star Wars happy ending, i'll bet it will be bittersweet at best. There was a suggestion in another thread about the ending being like it was in 'Return of the Jedi', which should suit KotOR II's dark nature perfectly.
  16. I think not, then idiots would just use other ideas to justify their agendas.
  17. I agree with that, those are one of the small things that add to replayability.
  18. The fundamentalist muslims don't hate the western world because of equal rights, freedom of speech and democracy, they hate us because of the decadent lifestyle that comes with it. I do hope that you're wrong about the last paragraph that you wrote.
  19. A smuggler probably, or a mercenary.

  21. I wish i would know, when Tribes 1 and 2 were released, i was stuck on a 56k modem. Thus, making a onlinegaming a serious no-no.
  22. I think Gorth pretty much nailed it, GWB is simply trying eradicate terrorism with brute force --> only attacking the symptoms, when someone should look for the cause of the problems. The U.N. is the worlds only international forum where people sit down and discuss the problems. Having super-powers setting the rules is not the "right" thing to do, no matter how noble and valiant they think their cause is.
  23. I wasn't interested in RPG's until KotOR, you should try some of them, there's actually some quality products in that perticular genre. (See my list).
