Hype-o-meter rising. NOOOOOO He flashback images were beautiful, do not ditch those. For me, they were not only important from an aesthetic POW, but rather tied to the presentation and the atmosphere. When you had painted stills, the flow of the game felt more like a personal diary or like a novel. With a animated in-game shots, it will be more like a recap of a TV-episode. They should also fix Geralts face, it looks like a quarterback instead of a callous, distant hunter. I also agree with Orogun01 about the "Hollywood-ize" the characters in terms of writing. Other than that, the preview is making me giddy.

Haha, oh my. My bad for falling for your trolling.

Exactomundo. That's pretty much what i did. With polish VO, the game did get a certain exotic vibe to it, and not just by a "lulz, that's not english"-kind of way either. Did wonders in terms of atmosphere.

You've realised of course that you will necessarily only see them using it in public. I have an Iphone, I know people that own Iphones. Never seen them use an Iphone in their house and we are tight. Plus using your Iphone to watch porn on your own house instead of a computer or tv is just dumb. BTW, @everyone: "Mobile phones" where made to carry into public places, my case is well founded. Ideas such as yours are what i call cancer to society, slowly destroying everything that's good in this world.

Boy, i need to finish God Of War sometime. I should have a save-file from 2005 laying around somewhere.

Amazing show of bipartisanship by 76 senators...

O'RLY? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Finland Oh my, you can't even distinguish between what was humerous propaganda and was goverment policy? For the record, while i will not deny that there were, and are extremist parties in Finland, there has never been a a fascist or communist party in power in Finland. Gorgon: There was no choice really, we got no direct support from England back in 1939, and we saw what happened to the baltic states. In order not to be invaded by the Soviets, we had to ally ourselves with the Germans. But of course obyknven does not understand what "realpolitik" is anyway, so silly propaganda will have to do. He seems to forget that there was a Winter War before that. -

Stay clear of Finland the next time, will you? //EDIT: Add the Baltic states to that as well. Finland and the Baltics - the former province of the Russian Empire. Do not worry, we'll take you, we'll do it with maximum tenderness. Oh my, you are for real, aren't you -

Same. My first guess was pornstar-- really, look at that name! Well, I do remember some stories about the fact that.. uhm.. he was well-endowed... but no, that wasn't his profession. He was a damn' good artist, and that's coming from someone who's never been a fan of Type O Negative. R.I.P. Pete, the musical scene will miss you very much. I'm pretty sure he actually posed for Playgirl. And all the goth girls swooned. The thing that really separated Type O Negative from all the other doom n' gloom black metal bands out there was the sly wit and black humor of their lyrics. Listen to "Everyone I Love Is Dead" or "Unsuccessfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infidelity" for examples. If it weren't for that, I'd probably never have given them the time of day, as I'm not a huge fan of the genre. Oh, and their cover of "Cinnamon Girl" was pretty righteous. This. His sense of humor is what made Type o' Negative is special, considering the genre that they played.

Aside from the obvious "having a bigger ****" - geek talent + musical talent - being frugal + not getting a hangover from a sixpack (turning 30 sucks ass) - muscle mass + intelligence and wisdom

Link. This man's band was the soundtrack to my teenage years. Especially their album "October Rust", it was constantly on in the background at every party we went to while getting drunk at the age of 15-16. Especially this song.

XCom was incredible back when i was a kid. Shooters however? Meh, meh, meh, meh. Often crappy atmosphere and sense of scope. - Doom 1 & 2 and Quake 1,2,3 were ok, but nothing that you really cared about outside some fun with your friends. - Unreal 1 was sublime, it was the reason that i started to appriciate shooters as a serious genre in gaming. Incredible all the way through. Transcended the genre. - System Shock 2 was an andrenaline rush. Excelling within the same areas as Unreal 1. Intense atmosphere. - Unreal Tournament 1 was fun with your friends + it had some of the vibe of Unreal 1. - Half-life was a brown, red and grey combination of bore, same with its successor(s). - Halo: CE had the same impact as Unreal 1. Trancended the genre, and truly was Combat Evolved back in the day. Made my personal shooter-meter go through the roof. Halo 2 and 3 were real turds though. - Deus Ex 1 transcended the genre for other reasons than Halo. More like System Shock 2. Unparalelled. - NOLF 1, 2 were ok, but nothing special. - Serious Sam was not that serius. - Fear 1 was ok, but gimmickly. Nice A.I. though. Nothing special in the long run. - Doom III and Quake IV? hahahah. - Bioshock. Pretty, nice art design and ideas (= A MAN CHOOSES, A SLAVE OBEYS). Failed in everything else. (I never finished System Shock 1(slow comp. at the time), nor any of the Thief games(crashing non-stop)) So there you have it: The only worthwhile shooters than have been released during the last 20 years have been: Unreal 1, System Shock 2, Deus Ex 1 and Halo CE. I have very little confidence that XCom: pew-pew-edition will be anything interesting.

Hmmm. Why JewSA tends to support Israel? This question is too difficult for me. Oh laawdy, what's next? Boycotting JewTube? -
I am 32 hours in FFXIII. Still good, although i feel that the complaints about the datalog and general railroading to be justified at this point. I'll probably give DA: The Awakening a shot after this.

Uh-oh. By establishing a notion that white racism 1) exist and 2) it is more powerful than any other, you just implicitly added that whites are inheritely better than non-whites, which is racist. Come on now, that's not very socialistic of you. What ever happened to singing along to John Lennons "Imagine"? Did you find Wagners "Parsifal" to be more appealing?

They're actively working on a horrible death for America. Please create a new thread about this matter. Could prove to be quite interesting.

I wonder if there are any games out there that lets the player to utilize the ultimate form of aggression: Cannibalism. Track your victims, kill them, and eat them. Is that more "wrong" than RapeLay?
-
So, in the area where the Naxalites operate, what has happened there lately? Did the government take land from the local farmers? Did the government neglect to build roads? What?
-
I wonder how many have downloaded RapeLay since the "BREAKING NEWS"-report at CNN?

But he never does shirt signings. I know On another note, I believe that the problems are probably related to 64 Bit OS's. Afterall I'm running win 7 x64 and I've had myself some issues. Someone somewhere in the code likely did something like this: long foo = 0; for(int i = 0; i < sizeof(foo); ++i) { ... } Don't worry, it has already been fixed for 64-bit OSs. The foo-variable has now been changed to signed Int32. Thank you for your cooperation.

Historians do not dwell on the rightoussness of any empire overtaking land of the other. No historian cares whether it was rightful act of the crusaders to ransack Constantinople. No historian care whether Julius rightfully ascended the throne as Caesar. No historian care of the rigthoussness of Mongols burning Bagdad to the ground. Only people with political agendas do. And oh, it was so nice and noble of the Ottomans to liberate those barbaric people from themselves. Especially the women, so they could sell them as slaves until as late as 1908. 1. Nationalism didn't exist as a movement when the Ottoman empire expanded. Nationalism was also the reason on why the Ottoman empire declined. 2. Peacefully ruled? kinda. With Justice? not by a long shot, unless you adhere to archaic systems of justice. Paying a tax for believing in the wrong entity is not justice. One historian. That has an honorary doctorate from Boğazi

Satan has inspired the best music within rock n' roll and heavy metal. So he is ok in my book. //EDIT: I am not interested in theological discussions in general, since they often start to dwell into allegory-land.
