*sssssssshhhhh* my little feisty one......................communism is the only answer
-
Some people cannot grasp that western culture is superior to any other one, eventhough we try to sugercoat democratic principles as the "least lousy ones of all that have been tried".

uuuurgh.

Hmm, this might actually be something. I'll check again when i get my paycheck

As a member of amnesty, i can tell he was no friend of free speech. People on the left seems to hail him for his social programs, but at the same time they seem to forget that it does not necessarily mean more freedom.

That's very funny, I was just thinking about how the only segment of Israeli political parties who really seem to have no issue at all with the other part (Israeli or Palestinian) are the communists. I guess that they compensate with the issues they have with other parts of the society. To be honest I like the utopia of no distinct nation-states and no religions. But why should the communists have a monopoly on that really? Aren't there any libertarians or anarcho-capitalists willing to take up that banner as well? IIRC, Libertarians believe in a nationstate only to the degree of a "nightwatcher" state guaranteeing rights of the individual. Anarcho-capitalists and Anarcho-syndicalists on the other hand do not believe in nationstates at all. If Heinlein would be correct, then i can forsee such states governed by the latter appear once we start colonizing the solar system. It would be quite hilarious and sad at the same time if a Israel/Palestine type of conflict would emerge once we start travelling across the stars.

Americans renouncing citizenship to become British over taxes

We should all relocate to prosperous states such as Montenegro, Kazachstan or Bulgaria. -
That's why i have come to conclusion that the only answer is communism. There will be no ethnicites, no religions and no nationstates of palestinians and israelis. Only the proletariat working for the common goal, from each according its own ability, to each according to their own need. Of course, we need to shoot/imprison everyone who thinks otherwise, but we sort that out later.

Thanks for the replies everyone. We will travel for 5 weeks in august/september and hopefully we will have to the time to see everything that we planned to. A baseball game/american football game is a must of course, and i find it hilarious that pretty much every source that i have talked to about New Orleans recommends me to go there even though it seems to be a very dangerous/unpredictable/weird town Walsingham: my tips for battling the blues/being down (not depression per see): - Paint - Write - Listen to music - Play an instrument - Go out on a walk/run/to the gym - Meet people

Roughly speaking New York - Philadelphia - Washington DC - [anywhere in the south] - New Orleans - Galveston/Houston - [anywhere in Texas/Kansas] - Denver - Monument Valley - Grand Canyon - Las Vegas - Los Angeles - San Fransisco. Most of these towns only work as waypoints, i do not see myself staying in Denver for example for more than a day. We are trying to have an open mind. If there's something like a barn dance festival in one town, we'll stay there. Does that creek look interesting? well camp there. Does this place have an interesting history? lets check the museum. Does this town have the best gospel choir in the state? we're gonna be religious just for that. That's the point of our journey.

Hurlshot: We are going to be a lot in the country, but i do not see myslef driving an RV in either New York or San Fransisco (we are going across the whole country though) I checked with the department of motorvehicles in New York and in order to buy a car, you have to have insurance, and in order to have that, you have to have to a permantent adress in New York. Also, you would like to sell it before going back. And of course, there's the reliability, we will not buy a 500 dollar car just have it break down in the Lincoln tunnel. Too much of a hassle really. So rental it is. But it seems like the whole damn business inheritly operated by adding extra costs that you didn't even expect in the first place. Just.a.final.price.please.

I for one, hope that this will be the beginning of the second empire: Britannia (now with lower taxes) -
I've been planning the roadtrip that i am taking with some friends this summer across the US. The flight tickets were easy as pie, but getting a rental car without any possible hidden fees seems to be impossible. All i ask for is a final price, goddammit!

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way most of the time, we are just too good at medically dragging out the lives of people in poor health. Nah, when you have that massive heart attack or stroke it usually means that you're dead before you hit the ground. This is more common with fat and unhealthy people than with those that have lived relatively healthy lives. So what are we really complaining about? these people add more to the system objectively speaking (no healthcare, social security and retirement), and they spare themselves and their relatives the slow agonizing dread of cancer, MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
-
In other words, people please smoke and eat more unhealthy food so i can spend half of my time retired and living healthy.
-
Nah, they care. It's their tax money being wasted to treat the scum that eat this food, after all. On the contrary, those people who live short and die fast are adding surplus to the system. People who are healthy, retire at 65 and live long lives afterwards are the ones that are taxing it.

Strange, as i thought that the writing in Witcher 1 reminded me most about daily life, more than any other RPG. But i live in a country that is literally dark and gritty during half the year, so that pretty much explains itself.

Jesus christ, head to the doctor already. Bleeding in itself can be nothing, but bleeding + abdominal pain could be life-threatening if you're really unlucky.

You get a pack of cigarettes if you order a bigger burger?! How awesome isn't that?! Screw you "ethical and moral"-people, your concern for health is as sincere as the seller's.

^noyce! Is there a demo out there that one can test?

Oh, so he much worse (in the eyes of the law) than someone has manslaughter and rape a hobby of theirs? No wonder people lack confidence in their governments.
