"Sales projections from marking research has shown that the product placement for certain demographics during the Q4 time period increase sales by atleast 14%" - Some guy in a big conglomerate. I'm bought back to Brutal Legend, although it's arguable to some people whether it was a good game or not. The head of the focus group department for the external business development would like to send his gratification for your participation in purchasing their goods and services.

I do not think that by sitting will make it any better either.

^Exactly. Why on earth would you guys watch dubs to begin with? It doesn't really retract from the experience, and i do hope that you can read, right?

Anita Sarkeesian/Tropes and Women in Gaming

Men want to save women. Women want to be saved by men. Doing it otherwise is just out of the norm, which is not bad per see, but expecting people not to think that it is outside the norm is silly. Another thing would be focusing on the character based on personality and morale, instead of mere gender. -
Solaris (1972) It's that kind of movie that leaves you thinking for a long while after you've seen it. There's also a profound emotional impact that i can't really put my finger on quite yet. Very spiritual as well, the only reason that i think that this movie managed to avoid soviet censorship was that they didn't understand what it was about. I mean, the main theme sounds like something from a funeral: (yeah, i know that it is Bach's choral prelude, but still, this rendition has an incredibly sad, yet beautiful tone to it)

Booooring. The people have spoken, what's there left to discuss?

...and that's why i always have i little laugh whenever a Swede says "there's no swedish culture!". Anyhoo, still battling with the rental car kerfuffle. Of some reason, it is 800 dollars cheaper to pickup a car from Jersey or Staten island than from JFK Airport. And i still haven't got my head around all the insurance needed.

Just to clarify. There's an ongoing series of a documentary in Finland that is called "Finland is Swedish", which describe how swedish finnish culture really is. Everything from rule of law, cuisine and general moral attitude comes pretty much from the old Swedish empire. For example: from the 12th century to 1812, Finland as we know today was a part of Sweden. There was no "Finland" per see, but rather the regions like Karelia, Birkaland(pirkkamaa?) and Ostrobothnia.

But boys they do have some stunning blond ladies. Last year I went to this music\dance festival in Belgium called Tomorrowland. We ended up meeting and partying with loads of really great people, but the Swedish girls were up there as some of the most attractive and friendliest of everyone we met . If I had to be objective I'd say the Norwegian ladies are the prettiest in Scandinavia and the Swedish men are the most attractive. While Denmark is where the fun is at. And where does Finland fit in, are they not considered Scandinavian? Do you guys share cultural similarities with Finns or not really? Stricly speaking Finland isn't part of Scandinavia. Finns have different cultural background from the other nordic countries, but being neighbors for a long time has had it effects. "Suomi on Ruotsalainen!"

Interesting. Care to elaborate? Like what is typically Swedish? Or German, French, English, Japanese or Chinese? For example, should Scotland declare itself independent from the UK? Why or why not? It is still somewhat topic-related since it goes back on how you should identify an Israeli/Palestinian nationstate.
