There's some setting that fudges the dice and is intended to help avoid chains of bad rolls, in practice it seems to make rolls worse (or at least more "average"), turning it off seemed to at least improve things for me. May be in my head, may not be, there's been evidence collected to indicate the former, but since Larian doesn't disclose how the setting atually works and kept updating it there's no telling how accurate that evidence still is. Anyway, may want to try turning it off (it's on by default) and see if that improves things for you, it did for me.2 points

Hi dev team, First of all, thank you for Outer Worlds 2 – I’m really enjoying the game overall. I wanted to report an accessibility issue with the “Run and Hitter” perk. The visual effect that appears when this perk is active (the screen blur shaken effect) makes me feel very uncomfortable and motion-sick. Would it be possible to add an option in the settings to Disable the visual effect for this perk. I know not everyone is affected, but for players sensitive to motion or visual effects, this would make a huge difference and let us keep using the perk without feeling sick. Thanks a lot for reading and for considering this!1 point

N-Ray door switches won't work, no interaction at all, when I first tried they worked, so I entered the room only to be killed by the invisible cultists, then I found the scanner went back to the switches to open the door nothing!! , I've restarted the game, I've done to many quests to go back to a save, game over!!1 point

Have you downloaded the update? If you've done that it all shows up after completing the introductory quest. I'm ps5 too, and it's all there now.1 point

I watched Vinland Saga on Hulu; it wasn't bad for a semi-historical drama (and it lacked anything resembling anime goofiness). Unfortunately, the second season isn't available yet.1 point

"Saga of the Malfunctioning Mechanicals" quest stays in the active section of the Journal under "Mentioned" even after Hogarth moves to Fairfield. Quest becomes impossible to complete even after acquiring the parts it asks for.1 point

Omg thank you! You summed up my main problem perfectly! The only way it justifies no longer doing damage with your weapon is if you can then do massive damage with a spell, which you can’t when the cipher takes a while to cast it (opportunity cost, not doing anything = 0 dps and also tanks burst damage, until he finally casts) , or doing amazing CC, which you need to do RIGHT NOW usually, not in 10 seconds when I gathered enough focus and finish smelling the roses for the spell to finally cast. passive retaliation focus would have solved this amazingly well. Pity. as always, thanks for the insight. Also, I guess no ciphers in my future lol, I’ll learn to live with my disappointment by having a Druid murder everything with storms1 point

I've started a replay of BG3 as well, a few days ago. Getting close to Act 2 again, and I'm having way more fun with the game now than the first time, just because I know now how everything works, and how to best use the environment for my advantage. I think the game is pretty good. IMO, a party of 6 is really not necessary. Guess it would make combat a lot easier as well. Not sure why your people can't hit anything - I'm wrecking whatever crosses my path. Maybe you use the wrong weapons, etc? If we'll get a PoE3 some day, I'd really love it to just use this game engine. All of the interactions and environments combined with Obsidians writing should end up pretty cool.1 point

I started playing BG3 about a week ago. I'm using a lot of mods, though all of them from among those available through the built-in mod manager. The most important mod being the one that gets me a 6-character party. As I had expected, the game is okay but not amazing the way everyone likes to gush over it. It's definitely not worthy of all those 98, 99, 100 review scores it was given, calling into question the credibility of those reviewers. Among the things that I dislike are a horrible inventory system and hotbar system, poory designed UIs across the board, moving and organizing the party as a group being a huge pain in the ass, most containers in the environment being empty (and not getting clearly marked as such even after you check them), and all NPCs can be interracted with even though many dont have anything meaningful to say. Your own dialog options during conversations are often many and yet the range of different options is very limited, meaning many of the options are merely minor variations on saying the same thing. Combat is also, as expected, rather tedious, but I can live with it from having a party of six and using low difficulty settings. But it is rather ridiculous the extent to which characters miss their attacks. I've gone through multiple rounds of combat where every single one of my six characters missed on their attack. But I'll grant this is a huge flaw of DnD and not the game per se (and why I love PoE mechanics so very much more). Where the game does shine is in beautiful environments, and very nice character animations and cutscenes. The story is also good so far. More to come.1 point

After finishing the Archive quest chain, i can't give the calcaduceus to either Auntie or Ruth, going directly to them just makes them say generic lines. The quest marker leads to an empty room in the entrance of the Archive. I have opened up all lifts including the Spireton one, there was nothing else i could interact with there. The Order NPC at the lift doesn't have anything to say either. I suspect this is because i cleared Spireton of enemies way before accepting the quest, and there was no way to acknowledge it during the negotiations.1 point

I don't know if they talked about this already. But I'm at the end of the quest where it tells me to hand over the calcaduceus, but there's no one there to give it to. Does anyone know how to fix it1 point

Because of the imminent release of the StarCraft miniature wargame, I have started playing the original StarCraft. I had a bit of a disagreement with General Edmund Duke. Raynor and I said we need to stop the zerg from killing whole planets. Duke asked "But do you condemn the sons of Korhal?" We didn't. Now we are terrorists. Obviously now the zerg are trying to eat Duke, so we have to save him. We should have just sent him a message: " When the zerg came for Mar Sara, I did nothing because my villa wasn't on Mar Sara. When the zerg came for Chau Sara, I did nothing because my golf course was not on Chau Sara. When the zerg finally came for me, there was noone left to save me."1 point

Did you interact with the nearby intercom to actually summon the troops? In my prior screenshot, it is roughly just right of center.. by the break in the guardrail. There really should be quest markers for activating the lift.1 point

Task - HBO, 3 episodes (hubby continued to watch another couple, but I wandered off) Not bad. I thought there would be a little more, y'know, detective-ing and crime-ing, but it's well acted and mostly well written and spends a lot of time developing characters. A lot of family-drama vibes on top of the crime-drama. Definitely worth a shot if that's a genre one likes. If I don't get around to watching more of it, that's more about me and my attention span/lack of daily interest in watching TV etc. Those first few episodes were certainly interesting enough.1 point

I know this can happen when HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) is not enabled in Windows. The setting can be found in "Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics -> Advanced Graphics Settings"1 point

I had this issue but my monk froze up as if he were casting a priest spell. Couldn't cancel the action or do anything. I ended up loading the save. It never happened again, though, so I didn't bother reporting it as I didn't know how to trigger it. I didn't even think it had anything to do with Stunning Blow or the monk class. Have you replicated it often? Also I find your jab at Obsidian uncalled for. Games are going to have bugs, and these bugs have arrived alongside waves of free content that go well beyond what many other studios would consider. Frustration is no excuse for disrespect.1 point

I am in the N-Ray Range and I have the N-Ray scanner. I am unable to interact with the power switches leaving no way to progress through the main quest or even leave the building. I am completely stuck and my last save before the bug was 4 hours of playing time ago.0 points
