No, survival crafting games seem too much like work. Also it is labeled survival horror, which may make me forever stay away from beaches. That would be a shame living in Greece2 points

Shouldn't Lexx be the one we force to play Lex Imperialis?2 points

Suggestion for isopods?? There super cute, they clean soil could have so many use cases as a pet/helper bug and would be the perfect cute bug for this game. There are so many different types the devs could choose from, these specifically are dairycow, rubber ducky and dwarf white isopods but there are soooo many more amazing types. I would love to hear anyone's ideas on what these could be used for.1 point

Hello, I am a software engineer by trade and I was overwhelmed by the huge number of abilities and items in this game, so I created an indexed dictionary of all of them: https://cracked-pillars.pagacz.io/explore I indexed them by tags I created myself (the explanation of the tags, albeit AI generated, is under the "Tags help" button). To achieve this, I scraped the wiki and then used an LLM to summarise each ability and item assigning them the tags. Admittedly, this is not a fool proof process and I did little to no validation on these assignments. I will be curating this essentially database manually though. There's a sign in functionality, but I do not store any user information, it is mainly identify that it is me interacting with the site. I did set up an Editor role for people who want to contribute to this - send me your email and I will add you as as such. You will be able to edit the tags on the items and abilities then. Cheers, Konrad1 point

Yes, he's looking into how to strip naturalized citizenship from people; the DOJ has made that a priority. You know, rather than go after actual criminals like the people DJT's pardoned. Anyway, Musk can afford to live anywhere. I'm sure he'll find a new home and invest his billions there instead.1 point

President Trump says he'll 'have to take a look' at deporting Elon Musk as feud reignites Looks like DJT will need a bigger bus to throw Musk under it. How could Musk not see this coming? Too much ketamine, I suppose.1 point

I have not used the Turn Based Mode - so I cannot say anything that would help you I'm afraid. I generally like Turn Based mechanics (for example I have sunk a lot of hours into Battle Brothers...), but since I started PoE and Deadfire with RTwP (and enjoy it) I saw no reason to switch the mode. Given that PoE's combat was designed around Real Time with Pause I'm inclined to say that it's the better mode for this game.1 point

Back home the British used to play the Indians and Black people against each other, to this day it still causes problems in the country. Luckily nothing near race wars, but the politics are still divisive. Hatreds have a long tail.1 point

There is no random in Dredge, but you will enjoy it.1 point

I played Dredge, which is safely above water and has a fixed map. Sunless Sea looks fun but I didn't give it the chance it probably deserves. I want to try Diluvion and I want to try Submerged when it comes to water games. But in general I am scared of the water in first person games like Elder Scrolls, because I always fear a sea monster will eat me. I blame Donald Duck (there was a comic panel where he is about to jump into a swimming pool and finds it filled with fish holding knives and forks, ready to eat him), a book I had in kindergarten about dinosaurs, that involved sea dinosaurs, and monster-in-my-pocket (specifically the Hanivar?) Also my rampant imagination. I mean, what proof do you have that someone can't animate the lines drawn at the bottom of the pool, and turn them into Hammerhead sharks?1 point

Yes, critical hits also raise spell damage. Direct damage gets raised like weapon damage with crits (+25%). Also crits provide more penetration (*1.5) which often leads to overpenetration. Overpenetration adds +30% damage. Spells which don't deal direct damage but damage over time (DoT) also profit from crits, but a bit differently (see below). Yes, I would recommend Ascendant for a Seer most of times. And yes, more INT = longer Ascension phase. More INT also means bigger AoEs (all AoEs) with spells and weapons as well as longer durations for all your spell effects (benefical on allies or hostile on enemies). This includes damage, see your Disintegration spell. That one deals raw damage (no armor, no penetration) in "ticks". Higher Might = more damage per tick. Higher INT = more ticks. Crits (in this case) = more ticks. A few points in an attribute (like Perception or Might) don't make a lot of difference. Abilities and gear are a lot more important than a few points of your attributes. You don't need to max out any attribute to have a great build. So if you feel forced to use a Pale Elf from the White that Wends just for the PER bonuses: don't. On the other hand: if you like that character concept in the first place then it surely doesn't hurt to have bonus perception. :). And a Pale Elf Seer from the White that Wends with Frostseeker is thematically very fitting. Bonus accuracy of hunting bows is fine, and the modal of hunting bows is also very good. Also the unique hunting bows are nice. But ultimately I don't think there's a better weapon for a Seer than Frostseeker. You can absolutely start with a hunting bow though. You will get enough weapon proficiency points to try both hunting and war bows. And once you get Frostseeker you can try it out and see if it performs better than your current hunting bow and if you like it or not.1 point

Now that Lex Imperialis is out, I'm going in for a replay of Rogue Trader. I was going to hold off until the hot fix patch storm eased up a bit, but what the hey? The mass of special abilities are still as obtuse as ever, making me wonder how much of those have they actually verified.1 point

I've played hundreds of hours of Zomboid and made some very popular mods for it as well. Got burned out later because the community sucks ass and I just didn't want to deal with it anymore. Game is ok. Imagine The Sims but there's zombies around you. One day you'll do some farming, next day you beat some Zs and on the third day you'll wash your clothes. It's kinda like that.1 point

Project Zomboid is a sandbox survival game without story. So keep that in mind. BG3 - you will need at least 130 hours of free time for this one. Cyberpunk 2077 - more casual shooter-y than rpg, imo. Fo4 - belongs into the trash.1 point

Wow, I'm on my second playthrough, and I just made an incredible discovery. Under a waterfall, I found a Steel Garote camp — and inside, I learned they were planning to burn down the city. I rushed to warn the mayor, and later, when I was leaving the ruins of Naku Tedek (I think that’s the name), I realized the city was not in flames. It was an amazing moment — the world felt completely different compared to my first run. I had thought the destruction was totally unavoidable! Now it makes me wonder... what else did I miss the first time around? This game is incredible. Seriously, seeing how different things turned out was a real "what the hell" moment.1 point

Current governance has already deported US citizens without any court procedures. So I would say he can do it, as no one will prevent it even if it is illegal0 points
