  2. Mohora Tanga is my favorite monk Swift Flurry/HBD weapon, but the Red Flag Flying self-proc explodes stacks and kills games. I am working on a mod that will prevent the infinite loop behavior and avoid these crashes while still essentially allowing Mohora Tanga to function as it does currently. I am still working on a fix for holding Mohora Tanga in the main hand - it is substantially better with this mod, and I haven't crashed my game yet while testing it, but there is still extreme lag. Currently, however, this mod completely fixes the crashes that can be experienced by holding the spear in your off hand (my preferred format) by limiting Red Flag Flying's self-procs to 50 at which point the ability is removed and immediately replaced, breaking the infinite loop. I will post this on the Nexus once I can get the main hand behavior reliably limited, but for anyone who wants to use Mohora Tanga with your monk today, here is the mod. RedFlagFlyingSafetyValve.zip
  3. Offensive Parry from the Whispers of the Endless Paths does drain health with a Steel Garrote. Iirc Riposte does, too.
  4. Its a good assessment and he covers much of the sequence of events and outcomes from Trumps rhetoric and comments around Greenland. I still think people jump to certain unnecessary levels of panic and drama around what Trump might do but the article specifically mentions this as well when he says things like "Donald Trump was threatening military invasion. That was quite clear. He was talking about it, and said "we can't rule it out." It came in the context of what happened in Venezuela." "Denmark showed that they would be ready to fight this out. It's afterwards come out that the Danish soldiers in Greenland actually did have orders to use lethal force against an American invasion. That's the level we were at. They had the ammunition and were prepared for any such things. It was not considered likely that this would happen. But if it did, the orders were there about how they should behave." I often encourage people to try to learn to filter the difference between what Trump is serious about and what is just driven by SM drama and outrage and how Trump loves to trigger the media and get them angry. Because this creates a distraction from other real political issues he is facing domestically like the Epstein files But in this case EU leaders were taking the threat of invasion as a possibility so there response was real. Of course Trump was never going to invade Greenland but it doesn't matter Good link overall
  5. https://gamerant.com/gdc-2026-ice-concerns-us-safety-fears-dev-comments/ "Multiple European and Canadian executives told MobileGamer.biz they are reducing headcount for this year's edition of the event, with some even skipping the show altogether. Several cited escalating U.S. immigration enforcement and related safety concerns as one of the reasons for scaling back or canceling their attendance."
  6. Long time lurker here. For whatever reason still playing this game in current year - thankfully with some great mods like Elric's which dramatically improve the balance and experience of the game. I just got finished up with my latest run, using BPM + Community Patch and All Upscaling (Upwards only). Used the following party (Note that I used mods to change the character classes and attributes around so that I could effectively have a full custom party without missing dialogue) Me: Crusader (Devoted / Bleakwalker) Eder: Crusader (Devoted / Bleakwalker) Xoti: SC Beguiler Custom Char: SC Priest of Wael Tekehu: SC Skald The party was the most effective of any that I had ever done. The two crusaders used a Greatsword + Morningstar (Willbreaker w/ Modal always on) and were the primary front-liners. Once past the early game, they would have enough engagement slots and survivability to survive nearly anything. Triumph of the crusaders (Strong AOE for ~100+ seconds + full heal on kill) made it so the action economy of the priest was incredible. Almost zero reason to ever use healing spells other than in emergencies. The crusaders would use the Acc + Crit auras and the Heal/Armor ones. Because the Acc aura doesn't fully stack with the acc stance, I would make both of them use the upgraded cleaving stance. This would obliterate packs with FoD spam, hitting 200+ regularly on the greatsword character. The Skald would usually open with an empowered Eld Nary or summoned weapons w/ the unique sabre and then switch back to using a pike w/ the deflection reduction modal. The beguiler was incredibly strong and almost never needed to attack. The debuffs from the willbreaker (usually -10 or more Will + -25 fort), the Ngati Tusk w/ Hunter of Hunter, and nearly every affliction under the sun would debuff the enemies to the point where almost any skill would land and have a high crit rate. I think I killed the Magran Teeth dragon in under 20 seconds because the party just did so much damage (Eld Nary carrying big time). Maybe mortar monk does more damage, but this party has been the strongest in the 10+ variations of potd upscaled runs I had done. Haven't tried megabosses yet but I will soon Not sure why I made this post, but just wanted to give a big shoutout to Boerer, Thelee, and Elric for all the useful posts, mod contributions, etc. After playing so many different CRPGs over the years I just really appreciate how good the systems and depth are in deadfire. Rogue Trader, BG3, DOS2, are all great games but none of them have had me constantly lurking forums like a madman quite like deadfire has.
  7. some noteworthy support for your position. trump is most impacted by the bond market, and am not thinking the minneapolis situation will have too much o' a direct market influence unless protesters across the country do some kinda extended boycott/work walkout... or if a few more white US citizens get murdered? that said, this is all newish kinda territory for an old dog like ourselves, and so it is possible that if polls look bad enough (needs to include republican defections) and fox coverage becomes more critical o' the administration, trump may claim that all the violent illegal immigrant felons (not that dhs is primarily targeting violent felons,) has already been arrested and so there is no more need for ice and border patrol activities in minneapolis. declare "mission accomplished." regardless, is increasing signs via fox interviews and wsj opinion pieces which suggest that kristi noem might be the administration's sacrificial lamb... maybe. everything trump related maximizes the chaos, so am constant hedging. HA! Good Fun!
  8. Hauani can merge back up into bigger oozes?? I've literally never seen this. Gross! Another good monk strategy for Hauani is Fire in the Hole (main), Mohora Tanga (off hand), WotW, and a source of Avenging Storm (scroll, Heaven's Cacophony) - you can sometimes one-shot with such a build if you can get some bonus accuracy and hit-to-crit, or lower its fortitude and deflection. I think only the first blob has resistance to might afflictions, so you can stun the lesser blobs if you use WotW with the stalking cloak. This can also work against Belranga to bounce mortar shots and WotW off the spiders, but her defenses are a good deal higher and the results aren't usually as spectacular until you kill a lot of the spiders and lower her defenses (though this happens quickly with this setup). On the other hand, I don't think she has any resistances, so you can sometimes get a lucky roll with one of the many attack rolls you will be making with WotW and stun her if wearing stalking cloak, even early in the fight.
  9. VirtuaVerse was good, bit tricky I found, but was an interesting setting and the art and music is good (latter is personal taste, I like keygen music). Still find it funny the saviours (sort of) of humanity are basically a Scene group called "The Blade", no numbers at the end though.
  10. am arguing with a five-year old. and it's understandable you didn't ask for cites to the 60 links, 'cause we didn't quote 'em (duh) and 'cause the population we produced is not gonna be fixed but necessarily changes by the minute as new stories is written. we did link to the singular pahlavi stories which we found in our initial search. would be pointless to cite all sixty non-relevant stories, but if you do an iran + protest search and achieve better results, results that do not undermine your ridiculous pahlavi embiggening contention, we would like to see such. if pahlavi is murdered tomorrow, maybe that happens, but it didn't happen for the past near two weeks, even when tv stations were shut down in his name and he held a news conference... though am suspecting you did such a search and realize the truth o' what am claiming. we already pointed out that a message board don't have same rigorous standards, but the sources for your quote list undermined your conclusion rather than supporting it. grammarly, your link for the complete tangential and irrelevant issue o' ledes, explains why it is essential to link and attribute quotes, and that reasoning applies just as much here as it does to a primary school class assignment or a journal article. rando quotes, unattributed and unlinked, is not particular persuasive, but in zor's greasy fingers, they is downright fraudulent. so why not tell us about western media efforts to embiggen pahlavi. invent more lies to cover the old ones and hope for some new deflection to avoid your original blunder o' posting, sans links and attributions, rando quotes from stories which when read undermine your position that western media were seeking to embiggen pahlavi. ... we used to think you werean ordinary board troll who spoke outta ignorance. took us a while to realize you are pathological deceptive. heck, you even make up nonsense about how ledes is "summary opinions?" why? it's taken time, but with each one o' these ridiculous confrontations, am suspecting more people realize just how frequent you invent positions from experts who actual said the opposite, or purposeful misrepresent quoted material or story conclusions. each o' the last half dozen conflicts has revealed your penchant for fibbery on a wide range o' subject matter. you are pathological. took a while for the locals to come around to the idea that attacking the character o' individuals before relevant facts has had been established all too often makes the accuser look like a fool in hindsight. that sorta behaviour happens less around these parts than it once did. am hopeful these continued exercises have a similar positive effect. most o' us take factual claims made by fellow posters at face value, 'cause who could be bothered to check every link and source, but zor is so utter incapable o' intellectual honesty that it is good practice to search every source and verify every quote... or just ignore you. HA! Good Fun!

  12. Well, he certainly ain't alone in that. I'd even give some grudging respect for the strategy, since it's effectively zero risk and will only antagonise Canada and others who already hate him. It's a bit eight year old (hah I told you to keep breathing and you did) but... that's Trump and always has been. You're still wrong, but at least it ain't a dissertation where one word would have sufficed. You certainly weren't getting away from the accusations of throwing words at the screen in the hope the other person gives up previous. I mean lol. You're certainly correct that this isn't an academic discussion, except in the respect that you're getting schooled hoooooooo I_just_ended_his_whole_career.gif There's only one reason you want 'academic vigour' here: because it gives you something to complain about. You've already said the transcription of the quotes was accurate (dispute with the bbc one accepted, but it was an accurate quote) and we're talking newspaper articles- hence the grammerly quote- and forum posts, not PNAS/ Science/ Nature. In any case, the correct method for identifying a replicable trend is to give how you found it, not cite the individual data points. I don't ask you to cite the 60 or whatever articles that you said didn't have Pahlavi in them, after all. If I could be bothered I could check myself.
  14. It seems to be the case with the Steel Garrote healing as well. It will Heal-Lash from the main attack, not from any of the procs (even those which are actual "attacks") I couldn't confirm it it procs off from retaliation attacks (such as the proc from Riposte or Outward Spikes, I don't have access to the former, and barely can keep track of the latter). Later I'll try to find out if I can heal from Sun and Moon + Eothas upgrade or Magran's Favor healing lash from fire (Paladin's Fire Penetration coming in handy) if those damages come from SF or HBD attacks. If the extra attacks would heal from Old Siec, that'd be another feather on the Skald's hat. After all, what is a good monk without some inspiring words and poetry?
  15. Oh wow, so Steven Erikson was very inspired by Glen Cooks writing style in The Black Company.
  16. Against Belranga it's good to have summons (like Dichotomous Soul) so she can destroy them instead of you. For Huani you need interrupts such as Force of Anguish in order to prevent the merging process. If you use Edér's armor with "Veteran's Maneuver" and also use Keeper of the Flame as weapon and have picked "Imagined Pain" you can farm wounds while doing Whispers of the Wind and thus spam it endlessly. You will gain wounds because Keeper of the Flame's AoE does friendly fire and targets reflex. Because you will be immune to reflex based attacks (Veteran's Maneuver) every AoE roll against you will miss, granting a wound via Imagined Pain. If you can spam Whispers of the Wind you can mostly stay invisible. If you use Ajamuut's Stalking Cloak then all attacks made during Whispers of the Wind will stun enemies. This is very good in the Belranga fight to kill a lot of little spiders fast in order to drop the defenses of Belranga quickly. If you put Keeper of the Flame in the main hand and Mohora Tanga in the offhand like we described above you can do a lot of single target and AoE dmg + CC with Whispers of the Wind. Not necessarily against the mega bosses themselves (unless you brought Belranga's defenses down a lot) but the weaker spiderlings and the smaller split oozes. Against Belranga you can also just hide behind some rocks, use Enduring Dance and send Dichotomous Soul summons to Belranga & friends from hiding - over and over again. You can also resort to that tactic in the middle of the fight if you have a potion of invisibility.
  17. The way bandages currently work disincentives using higher tier bandages. Due to the healing effect being cancelled upon hit, players are more likely to not want to "waste" bandages because they get hit. The players who can block/dodge the hits to get the full effect of the bandage are not likely to get hit as much. So higher tier bandages should be able to take a hit or two before "breaking." This will incentivise using the higher bandage tiers despite the cost, even if they don't get more healing. Then players who get better are rewarded by being able to use cheaper bandages.
  18. trump's brand is what is important. he can never admit weakness or failure, so every loss is transformed into a kinda win. literal day two o' the administration were gaslighting about inaugural crowd size. why would somebody double-down about a lie? triple-down? quadruple-down? Gromnir laughed, and we weren't alone in our laughter. nobody would buy trump's transparent deceptions, right? doesn't matter. never admit mistake. never surrender. fight, fight, fight. if the media points out facts, call it fake news or ridicule reporters for focusing on incidental issues when there is an immigration crisis to deal with. trump fighting and being outraged is what his base wants from him. beyond all reason, they see him as a warrior who never surrenders, so 'course every capitulation is magical transformed into an unparalleled 4d chess win, and now there is an entire media and political ecosystem which supports trump's gaslighting efforts. am admitting we gross underestimated trump in 2016... no, that ain't quite right. we overestimated everybody else. we thought more republican politicians would resist. we thought americans were less bigoted and angry than they are. we thought democrats were less o' a keystone cops sh!t show. etc. we saw trump for what he was and the dangers he presented since the day he did his muslim ban bit and the crowd cheered. however, without an intervening war or an economic collapse, we had expected more o' everybody else. edit: we ordinary watch markets when they have a guest who is intriguing, but we were interested 'bout the reaction to carney's davos speech. HA! Good Fun!
  19. nope. wow, that were ez. + your opinion that the western media were seeking to embiggen pahlavi. is not meaningful context. also, grammerly explained why links and attributions is essential. your sources were most certainly not clear and given how you simple search-engine slap-jerked a rando list o' quotes sans attribution into your post (a fact we only learned afterwards,) you sure as heck didn't build trust with your audience. the fact that people could go and look up each individual quote source does not in any way diminish the need to link and attribute. why does students, doctors and lawyers need ever attribute quotes when search engines make it possible to look up and verify sources? message board posts didn't require the same academic rigor, but you are the joker who linked Grammarly. in any event, the rational for attributions is the same here as is for one o' hurlshot's students... is particular noteworthy 'cause as shown numerous times now, anybody who went through the actual effort to read your not linked and not attributed articles would realize your offerings did not embiggen pahlavi. is unlikely anybody but Gromnir would go through the effort to read each unlinked article, which am guessing is precise why you did not link or attribute. oh and the more we write, the more opportunities there are for you to show ignorance or deceit. as already noted, your lazy search-engine population admission were enlightening and will be remembered. your misunderstanding o' strawman were amusing to us. zor not realizing that 'course doing a targeted search for pahlavi is gonna necessarily result in a link population where pahlavi is disproportional relevant. duh. your bizarre lede and summary tangent revealed unbelievable ignorance and yet you did double down at every opportunity; am still baffled by your comical effort to conflate "essential facts" and "summary opinions." etc. you are a bottomless well o' ignorance and deception, each new lie and deception you provide us is indeed pathetic entertainment, but entertaining even so. and so we come to the final zor deflection? as noted from us continuing to link relevant western stories about pahlavi, Gromnir at least makes an effort to argue your original point o' contention, which you has abandoned in favor o' sophistry, deception and your ordinary practical admission o' ultimate failure where you try and transform your lack o' meaningful response as equating some kinda juvenile owned meme. congrats on staying true to form and repeating the cycle. HA! Good Fun!
  20. Remarkable how Trump successfully spins nothing as a victory.
  21. Heya OBS Community, New major update coming to the platform: https://forums.obsidian.net/announcement/75-forum-update/. Please post here or DM me so we can bug squish as quickly as possible
  22. You had the context. Repeatedly complaining about a lack of citation for a trend is solely being done because it's all you have. Since it's proving a trend the bulk result is important and complaining about lack of individual attributions means nothing when you can replicate the method used. Fact. I mean, you're the one writing dissertations to restate the same thing over and over. At least I'm spending two minutes on it. Children's entertainer, remove thine own red nose.
  23. shame is dead... and vance is justifiable becoming the daily hypocrisy punching bag. recall, vance were a never-trumper a few years past, so there is loads o' vance comments where he did a 180... but it doesn't matter since he had a road to damascus moment on trump and saw the light any issue where you may frame as us v. them removes reason and accountability from the equation. HA! Good Fun!
  24. Hello everyone, Could someone advise on tactics against the megabosses. FF Nature Godlike, solo PotD upscaled, with the community patch. Is this even possible in a legit way, melee or ranged? I have defeated Auranic, but Belranga and Huani seem impossible, and I haven’t tried Dorudugan yet. I’m playing with minor role-play restrictions (always a good guy, etc.), so I may be missing some important equipment. Maybe I should try again, with multiclasses, like a Herald. Thanks in advance!
  25. That was dependent upon Canada reaching a free trade deal with China though, which was never really on the cards. Those sort of things (as opposed to some tariff relief on certain items) take multiple years to work out. Carney saying there won't be a free trade deal makes it look like a 'win' for Trump, at least to his supporters.
