Buggy following to close
J9Thompson replied to Spladash's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
That makes sense... maybe they can use a different whistle for stay and follow.... not sure how to do that.. -
I saw Wing Commander in theaters and I wouldn't have known that Stamp was even in it until it was mentioned here. I think I memory holed that entire film.

I love the Omni-tool as an idea, but it's been tripping me up at a few instances. Trying to pick up an item, or worse yet an ally only for the Omni tool to get very interested in the nearby blade of grass just feels bad. There's other situations were it feels a bit yanky and awkward to use, but I feel that's probably the worst thing to happen. Is there any chance to get it as a single activatable item functioning more as the tools from game 1? I realize this is not going to be something everyone would want, so maybe have it as an option.

I wish the hotbar worked more like in Grounded 1. In particular my sticking points are that in the inventory screen you have to grab and drag an item before the toolbar shows up, while the space it appears in is already just empty space. I think it would be better to just always have it visible. If there's a toggle for that I've certainly missed it. I also very much miss having multiple toolbars that I could scroll through. I liked using a little bit of every weapon type and mix it up like that, but in the event a player doesn't feel like using every single weapon ever at all times there's also the far more reasonable example of having one bar set up for melee and one bar set up for ranged.

Dinner_Rollz started following Giant Nebula Goliath Tarantula Mini-Boss idea
-
The Giant Nebula Goliath Tarantula is a very powerful mini-boss found near a pond, and has adaptations like some other creatures. When fighting the tarantula, it’ll bite you with minty venomous fangs, shoot electric webs, and flip over creating burning hairs that float around; though when you "kill" it, it’s head will fall off then it goes into a berserk mode like the ****roach and creates a poisonous goo that sticks to surfaces, and slows you down. The spider is weak to smash attacks on its rump, slash attacks on its legs, stab attacks on its abdomen and eyes; and immune to fresh/sizzle while berserk. Once you fully kill the spider you’ll get Nebula Fuzz, a Goliath Head(40% chance), and Nebula Fangs. The parts you get can be used to create fresh and sizzle protecting bandages, though there’s also an armor set. The Goliath Great Helm that gives you Master Reflexes(you can block with one handed weapons faster and the parry duration is longer) with Quickcharge. The Goliath Pauldrons that give you warriors armor, ranger’s armor, and quick charge. Then the Goliath Trousers that give you Quickcharge, and Foot Soldier(allows for duel wielding a two handed weapon with a one handed weapon, though you deal a lot less stun, bows don’t count, and the two handed weapon is considered one handed). There’d also be a Goliath Glaive made with a Goliath head, Mantis Claws, Nebula Claws, Nebula Fuzz, Garden Snail Slime, O.R.C Receiver, and a Weed Stem; this is a two-handed stabbing weapon that deals 4 1/2 of those damage bars normally, and when charged will shoot a web of lightning using "Static Charge".

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?

I can't imagine it's very efficient as a police force. Just a big waste of taxpayer money while putting on a show. I.e. it's a parade. -
Terence Stamp would have made a better Tolwyn. The best was David Warner though, just for that voice.

Hi, You usually have backups that you can select when you start the game. You'll find multiple save games there. You can then select the appropriate one -
Block and Parry while dual wielding
Joseph Shaw replied to Jay.bro's topic in Avowed: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yeah, no coding knowledge either, but that would be my expectation too. (toggle being easiest to implement) Good point, I didn't even think about the additional animation required! I suppose we can only pray to the powers that and hope Obsidian see this suggestion and can make it happen. From what I’ve seen, they already ran with a few community suggestions (NG+ to name one) Hopefully they’ll continue support for the game past the current roadmap and can look to add this in. -
Joey D started following Workbench won't allow crafting of items that require a workbench
-
I'm able to build a workbench with no issues, but when I click on it to craft something, even though I have all necessary resources, there's a message saying "Missing item: workbench" and it won't allow me to craft the item. I am clicking on the workbench to use its interface, not merely attempting to craft something while standing beside it. This goes for all items with the workbench symbol. I have abandoned that game and started a new one and the issue persists. I am playing alone and not in a shared world. I'm on PC, Win 11, Microsoft's PC Game Pass. Is there something I'm missing in the gameplay? Does the workbench need to be in an enclosure to be used, like in Valheim? Does it need another item constructed nearby? Does it need to be close to the lean-to I'm using as a spawn point? Or is this a technical issue?

Lotharyx started following Too Many Scorpions!
-
Game balance is a difficult thing and folks are gonna have different opinions; this is mine. It gets frustrating when traversing the park inevitably leads to a scorpion encounter, especially when more often than not, junior scorpions and scorplings show up to join the fight. It’s survivable, just the frequency is irritating. I’d also suggest that some of the melee attacks of bugs have far too much range, that significantly exceeds the reach of the animation. Taking damage when the attack very obviously didn’t touch my character is quite frustrating (and I’m not talking about AOE attacks; I mean, for example, a scorpion sting that clearly comes nowhere near me but yet I take poison damage).

There are lots of items. Give us a recipe to make paint for our buildings. The building is a lot of fun in Grounded 1 and 2. But, from a distance, no matter how infrequent, they just blend together and looks pretty drab. We have berries, cookies, mud, etc to make colored paint. And you can make the painted model have brush stokes where you can still see some of the original item trough it. But what a joy it would be to be able to paint the floor blue. Or use a cookie to make our grass walls have a black coat of paint.
