  1. Give everyone a SSN and call it a day. Theres no reason the US has to limit immigration.

  4. Was your ship blown in half in the top picture and you "ejected"?
  5. I got mine pulled in the Navy and it was completely unremarkable. The bonus was they gave us 72 hours of "light duty" and painkillers. I just got back from a trade show in Novi, MI. Beautiful state in Fall, but man, trade shows are the worst.
  6. Yeah, I decline "push notifications" 100% of the time too.
  7. Is there ever any hostile fauna or flora? Or is the point of the game just base building?
  8. I ask this every couple year because I just dont get it, but what you guys resistance to login/always online while gaming? Several parts of my general life are already "always online" that I dont even think about it anymore. My phone is waiting breathlessly for me to utter "Siri" (or anything close apparently), my little Google pucks all over my house are waiting for me to say "ok Google", hell even the digital picture frame on my fireplace mantle is always connected to a cloud somewhere. Maybe its a data transfer limit for you all? Ive never once run up against mine so thats not a factor. You feel theyre snooping? I know someone will trot out "what about if the internet is down", and I guess that situationally valid, but cmon how often is that?

  12. I noticed something interesting to me...we flew back from Mexico last weekend and this time O'Hare customs didnt even ask to see my wife and I passport! It turns out the process for US citizens has changed from a human being physically checking your passport and comparing it to you standing there, to completely biometric facial scanning. It was awesome and reduced what is normally around a 1.5 hour process to mere minutes! I was pretty impressed that it took the software less than one second to recognize me and put a little green check mark next to my picture.

  14. The more I go down my rabbit hole...I dont think it was an "intercept" at all, but rather a field test. Think of this: We know the range of the AMG-114 is ~11km. There were two Reapers involved, the view we see is from the "lazing buddy" and the other one fires the missile. Why would two Reapers just so happen to be patrolling within 6 miles of each other and both just so happen to spot the UAP. Then, unprecedentedly, fire upon it! The missile not exploding has got me boggled. Sure, stuff fails, but it looked kind of like it hit a water ballon and just went of screen. But I dont think we were ever meant to see this footage. Now dont get me wrong, I whole heartedly believe that extra-terrestrial life exists, probably all over the universe. I just dont necessarily believe they are here on Earth. If they are, its the octopuses.
  15. Fair enough, but thats not my take. I believe that the government is decades ahead of the public in technological matters. My personal guess about that craft is that we saw a form of shielding in that bubble.
