Katphood
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter(Steam) I remember playing the censored German version of the game on the N64. Human enemies were replaced by robots and even some of the levels were designed a bit differently(lol...why?!). Playing the original version with unlocked fps and fov on the PC is quite a blast. Also, playing Turok with mouse and keyboard makes you feel like a ninja whereas the N64 controller made the game feel like a goddamn survival horror. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.
Flouride
Too many damn games! I managed to finish up with Batman: Arkham Origins Playing currently: Badland, Day of the Tentacle Remasterd and Darkest Dungeon among few other games. It really doesn't help that I just bought 10 new games from Steam sales and I'm quite sure I'm not even done yet with my purchases. 1 Hate the living, love the dead. Raithe
Looked at the steam sales, but eh, having just had to spend money to replace the damn DVD drive on my PC I think I shall hold back for the moment. I'll continue to hunt animals in Far Cry Primal for the time being. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Tale
I tried a bit of Majotori and Omni Link last night. Majotori isn't as funny as the reviews would have me believe, but the trivia questions are a diverse assortment of popular nerd culture, including movies, anime, and video games. That's what keeps it pretty interesting. I'm a bit disappointed that the character stories only tend to be about two quizzes long, and a failure seems to kill the branch. So it's not like there's lots of interesting branching going on. Omni Link I barely played, but it seems really interesting for having maybe one developer. You run around playing asteroids for the main gameplay, then there are VN segments, with supposedly branching pathways. I barely started it. Gorgon
I get a message that such and such key cannot be rebound. Maybe it's just dumb and won't allow any function to be unassigned and doesn't give you an overwrite prompt. I can live with that if that's the case I suppose. I've barely messed with the key rebinding since I mainly play with my Steam Controller, the only thing I rebound was aiming (look down sights/scope) to Mouse 4 (I use my mouse for shooting guns, which I do rarely, everything else I use a controller for), so I can't confirm if any keys are restricted from rebinding. It may well be setup in a dumb way where if a key is already bound to something you need to rebind that to free it up. I can't get into it. There is a story mode but it's too much tutorial and too many restrictions. The fun of Hitman is trying and failing and having it turn into a bloodbath and once in a rare while getting everything right. The episodic thing was a terrible idea. You have zero chance of getting involved in the progression of the game. On the other hand there are loads of missions available, enough for two games by the look of things. Keyrock
^ I guess it's not for everybody. I currently have 71 hours in the game, all of which I've enjoyed immensely, and I'm excited for the elusive target that arrived today. For me the fun of the game is formulating a plan, testing the plan, and refining the plan. I'll spend an hour, sometimes hours in a mission just studying the layout of the level, the patrol routes of characters, and how they react to disrupting their routine. That probably sounds boring to most people, but to me it's the definition of fun. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Keyrock
I'm playing through the escalations in the Hokkaido level in HITMAN in preparation for my attempt on the current elusive target (which is also in the Hokkaido level). I wish there were more escalations in this location (sadly, there are only 3), but at least they're really interesting. It was previously one of my least played levels, so I'm committing to memory every nook and cranny and all the patterns and behaviors of its inhabitants. Elusive target missions usually change a few things in a level, but most characters and patrol routes remain unchanged. Interestingly, I don't actually get to see what this target looks like before going into the mission, adding another layer of challenge. I managed to successfully complete the last 2 elusive contracts, but I haven't managed to silent assassin any of them. Maybe this will be the one? Gorgon
The close combat system is a cardinal sin. 'Press key prompt to not die'. What does that have to do with close combat. This does not work with a mouse and keyboard. Neither does 'spam button' for any function. I think that's there for the takedown, makes it happen faster. The combat system is essentially the same as last time, no improvements, and it wasn't quite good enough last time. Worse than Blood Money certainly, how many years is that now. The change in pace is supposed to be exciting, when the guards are closing in all of a sudden. I don't exactly feel like John Wick when I die with a keyprompt on the screen because I walked too close to a guard. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all. Keyrock
We play the game so differently. When I play there is very little combat, none if I can help it. My goal is always ghosting the mission, so to me the combat system is mostly irrelevant, since I don't really use it. To me HITMAN is a puzzle game, not an action game. Again, different strokes for different folks. Edit: As an aside, I play Deus Ex the same way. Get in, get the job done, get out without anyone being the wiser. Gorgon
I like to have both, that's what Hitman is to me. You try for the subtle approach and of course it doesn't work the first few times, then it's supposed to be ON mother****er and you basically have a small chance to complete leaving 40 bodies on the floor. The puzzle is not enough on its own. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

Malcador
Deserts of Kharak is enjoyable, I rather enjoy the radio chatter you overhear when units are idle. Labadal
I played Viking: Battle for Asgard. It was fun in the beginning. I kept playing for nearly 7 hours over 3 days, but ultimately, I got bored and uninstalled it. It's a true 5-6/10 game. It isn't crap but it sort of feels uninspired. Can't really explain it. I'm progressing in Shadow Hearts: From the New World. There are some extremely silly characters and situations in the game, but I am having fun. I like finding all side quests, lottery people and so on. The combat is probably the best part. Another thing I like is that I haven't been grinding levels at any point in the game. Raithe
Far Cry Primal. I can see some of the points people made about it dragging along. The story side isn't very pointed or guided, so it's very much a free-roam build things up, explore the world, gather resources, gather more resources, then "oh wow, I found a story related mission!" Still, it's a pretty gorgeous looking game, and the roaming and exploration is entertaining in its own way. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum." Terminator
Well I finally got back to Battlefield 3. I finished single player campaign on Easy today. I must say that genre is to realistic for my taste. I think that I would try a Call of Duty would be better for me. There is still cooperative multiplayer and PvP multiplayer undone. The Cooperative multiplayer we are going to play at slightly harder like Normal difficulty level. However we will not play now BF3 and when it suits us both. Violence and graphics are good enough, but BF games are to realistic for my taste. I give single player campaign 7.5/10 vote. That means playable, but not what I would call a really good game though it had its good moments. Graphics/system performance is very good I get 60+(or much more) fps in Battlefield 3 with maximum settings FULL HD resolution. This was my gaming laptop. SonicMage117
So far really enjoying saints row 3. Really needed something different I'm guessing lol. Game is so over the top but still somewhat believable..ishAvoid the first and fourth and Gat Out Of Hell. SR2 & SR3 are definitely the best in the series Tomb Raider (2013) followed by Rise of the Tomb Raider. And of course, they went the multimedia route, because Tomb Raider (2013) does Lara's first reveal that the weirdly supernatural mythological/archaeology thing exists, but does a touch of the torture porn and showcases what a hardened killer she can become.. Then they tell the story of what happens in the immediate aftermath, the recovery, plus the initial introduction of the bad guys in Rise of the Tomb Raider in a novel set between the games. The reboot and it's sequel are phenomenonal right? I love that Lara actuallyhas emotion and depth now. The character feels real. As someone who's played all the old games and watched the movies, I'll say that it's nice to see Tomb Raider get the effort it deserves.Overwatch of late, was double XP this past weekend so. It's still satisfying to nail someone at distance with Pharah's rocket, closest I can get to Tribes I suppose. marelooke
Grabbed Prey during the Steam sale and playing that currently. So far it's been...OK, I guess. Combat ranges from "meh" to "annoying". Enemy spawns are generally predictable (you just completed an objective so we've filled the rooms you came in through with a bunch of enemies again. You're welcome.) and I find myself dreading having to fight them more than fearing them. Though I'll admit that some "new" enemy types did raise my heart rate... Story so far's been fairly predictable overall, though I expect there to be some twists down the road (fwiw, trying to get the main elevators working now). Not sure how "common" Neuromods are (eg. whether spreading out skills is going to bite me later) Maybe the Ishimura just broke space station/ship scares for me (and sue me, but yeah that's the game I had to think of when I started playing Prey) but the tense atmosphere is mostly not there for me. (also: I tried throwing something through the "blocked" balcony door at the very beginning, guess it suddenly got less sturdy later ) Edited June 25, 2017 by marelooke
