Looks pretty interesting, but I can't shake it off how much it apparently apes from XCOM.

Went for the collector's edition, seems like they've got a decent chance of turning out a decent turn-based strategy game.

No, it's... not (a bad thing). I just had it in mind that it wouldn't be quite this close a relative.

No matter, though.

At first I was confused when I read this.

Initially I thought you had a typo for apart instead of apes.

But after some time thinking on it. Now I get it.

Might want to change "apes from XCOM" to something like "long lost relative of XCOM".

Anyway back to topic on hand. I am indeed interested in see how this one come along.

oh it's much different though, on the strategy layer and with extra tactical options (expanded inventory, boss type monsters, aimed shots). it's like a hybrid of Fallout tactics, new xcom and old xcom (and apocalypse) - sounds interesting

I haven't been this tempted to crowdfund something in a long time. I won't, because I'm done with crowdfunding, but I will almost certainly buy it once released.

Wish I had money this month. Goddammit.

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Looks like it will be fun, I like the Blue Stinger vibe that it's giving me from the gameplay footage. If I had money, I'd probably back it. I'll definitely follow it

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

Well the campaign will last 40+ days so maybe next month. :D  I'll probably pledge in the last week.

From pictures and stuff this reminds me a lot of the very old Abomination. It had a similar theme as well-- mutants are all over the city, you got your base and your men and had to manage that. I thought it was a pretty fun game, but I always hated the hectic real time combat.

Actually this really tempts me to create fig account and do Slacker Backing for PoEII and Pledge for this game at the same time. The promise of GOG version is really luring me and my money :'(

I hope they get some proper lighting in the studio with this money. Torchlight is cool, but probably not ideal for coding.

I think they did that on purpose for mimic the post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

I'm not sure, I don't know enough about Bulgaria to say they have access to electricity.   :p

Wasn't Bulgaria the setting for Jagged Alliance 2?

wow this is over 405k now, on 2nd day i think... out of 42 for 500k. i hope this does really well and will get some nice upgrades. Heck, even if all extras will go only to make sure that the alien evolution and adaptation script will be working well, I'd be fine with this

JA2 was set in the fictional country of Arulco. If only my knowledge of actual geography and historical facts matched my gaming repertoire.

Heh, just noticed that a friend from school is working on this. But I was already backing it anyway :)
