Zoraptor Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Nothing definite. But the somewhat truncated dlc run and little to no talk of a sequel suggests it didn't do as well as they hoped/ EA expected overall.
Fenixp Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 6 months after DA: I release I know, but I still believe Witcher 3 pretty much killed any longevity that game had. Personally, I find those games very similar in just about every aspect, except for W3 actually being ... Well, good.
Oerwinde Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I just grabbed all the DLC on sale a few weeks back and am on my second playthrough of DAI. I quite enjoyed it. It did feel like two different games though. The MMO-ish grinding and world exploration, then the Bioware style cinematic RPG stuff. They didn't blend it very well, but its an enjoyable game... if you have a gamepad. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

DreamWayfarer Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) I feel that if Bioware had done something closer to the ME2 style for Inquisition instead of the MMO quests and open areas it would've been better, or if they actually decided if their combat was supposed to be action or tactical. It still wouldn't have been a masterpiece, mind you, but something relatively fun if you have free time (in other words, the RPG equivalent of a Marvel movie). The way it ended up the ok parts were diluted in elements that seemed to exist just to fill a checklist, just like so many quests that were nothing but checklists. MasterPrudent Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Not a lot of new stuff here (I guess the dev working in a unicorn mask is pretty funny) but so it goes. Edited September 22, 2016 by MasterPrudent 4
MasterPrudent Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Actually I lie a little - there's a beastman (expected) and an opera singer (?!) companion in there.
mindswayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Heh. Looks pretty okay. Pretty cringeworthy to hear everyone wanking themselves to how "unique" it all is. I guess lying is part of marketing though. Will check it out once they've addressed the 50 crashes and 3000 spell bugs. I hate Unity.

I guess lying is part of marketing though. Will check it out once they've addressed the 50 crashes and 3000 spell bugs. Every game is unique. Sure is. Also the hell is up with the soundtrack? is there really only one track for combat? I'm tired of it and I haven't even played Tyranny yet. Seriously hope it's not another Pillars where I'm gonna spend 80 hours hearing the same track on a loop every time I engage in combat. I hate Unity.
mindswayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 2 mins left to go lads. Stream incoming https://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive I hate Unity.

ManifestedISO Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I'll keep the headphones on while playing Tyranny, wouldn't want my mom to hear those character sounds, ha. 1 All Stop. On Screen.
Labadal Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I wish there was an option to have no combat music. I don't hate it, but I can see myself getting sick of it after 5 hours.
kirottu Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I'm currently watching the stream and during the spell making bit I kept thinking: "It would be cool if there was no-friendly-fire accent." I know there is no friendly fire in the game, but it just seemed like a perfect place to where to put it. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
ShadySands Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 Still no release date? Free games updated 3/4/21
MasterPrudent Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Still no release date? Paradox says no.

Nonek Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 'Fore God Allmighty I hope they have a seperate control for party member taunts, the Roostergirl is trying far too hard, exceptionally irritating. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!
HoonDing Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Watching Paint Dry. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
ManifestedISO Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Quite a lot happens when paint dries. The color may darken slightly, the sheen is reduced, and a membrane forms over the surface. I'm liking Verse's attitude, saying things I say to monsters in my head anyway. 1 All Stop. On Screen.
Mr. Magniloquent Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 So far the development/lore of this game gives me a better impression than what PoE left me with. This video is encouraging in that it seems they are making an earnest attempt at a magic system that isn't totally awful. This looks far more promising than I expected.
