What will you be playing over the new years holidays?

Featured Replies

Hey chaps. Anything we have to look forward to in December besides Star Wars fever?

Looking for something to play over the new year holidays and coming up dry... Is anything getting released this month?

I'll be playing Witcher 3 that I rediscovered last week. Can't stop playing it. My personal life is suffering - I'm not even kidding.

As for what gets released this month - not much really, there are never too many releases in December. This year has been so incredible for gaming tho that there's no way you have played all the awesome it's got to offer. There's PC release of GTA 5, there's Witcher 3, there's the stellar Alien: Isolation, there's Dragon Age: Inquisition everybody seems to have forgotten about, there's Fallout 4 that I have not played yet and believe it'll be worth picking up in about a year or so. If you're more into indies, Age of Decadence is absolutely worth picking up, Director's Cut of Wasteland 2 and Divinity: Original Sin got released. The new Shadow Warrior got spruced up considerably as well. Just look at any top 10 list of 2015 and pick just about whatever, it's almost guaranteed to be fantastic.

Playing Witcher in hopes that I can finish it 100% so I can move on to the second one and then ultimately to the third one.

Planescape Torment. I should prepare for Numenera.

You'll be very disappointed once you figure out Witcher 3 essentially ignores the first two games :-P

If you want to know what Witcher 3 actually does follow, it's the books. You'll gain a lot more going into W3 reading the Witcher books than playing the games - altho doing both is probably the best option.

Star Wars, Hateful 8, and I kind of want to see He Never Died with Henry Rollins.

Game wise... Underrail, finish this wasteland 2 play through, might play PoE again, need to finish SR Hong Kong, and we will see what else.

Music... New Baroness album comes out and I am excited.

Enjoy 2 weeks without work.

Probably Underrail. I also reinstalled NWN2 and I might play some mod for that.

Not sure other than that. Been thinking about replaying Alpha Protocol soon.

Probably try to finally finish Demon's Soul New Game + Having little bit issues with the last boss and probably Tales of Graces F and Septerra Core. If I get to much free time, I'll probably start up Europa Universalis II or Crusader Kings.

And of course some Grand Turismo 6 and before Star Ocean 5 comes out, I should make the final Chaos playthrough of Star Ocean 4. The last piece of the crazy requirements for the Platinum Trophy...

I'm doing it more for the sake of importing decisions as such, as far as the story goes, I'll probably get around to reading the books but I do know the highlights of the main story.

Divinity: Original Sin. Just realized GoG had the Enhanced Edition out.

FO4 unless I get Witcher 3 over the holidays

I have got a pretty solid game going in Divinity as well, but I am sure I will jump to something else soon. Maybe Mordheim or Underrail.

Probably a little of everything. I figured on starting with The Crying Game, then every minute of Home Alone, ending it all with Neil Diamond's Christmas album.
