Rather than focus on the Christmas plans, how about a thread for all the random assortment of Christmas jollities....

Tor- Neil Gaiman reads A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol has inspired some delightful adaptations over the years. All the best characters in pop culture has attempted their own adaptation, from Mickey Mouse to the Muppets to the (real) Ghostbusters. But sometimes it’s good to go back to basics, which is why we love Neil Gaiman’s reading of Dickens’ complete novella. The New York Public Library hosted his first reading of the classic in 2013, where Gaiman read from NYPL’s own rare copy of A Christmas Carol – a copy that includes edits Charles Dickens wrote in his own hand for his own public readings of the tale. The following year Gaiman added a new twist, in the form of the dapper Victorian outfit you see above! Grab a festive beverage, find the nearest roaring fire, and bask in the full audio below.

And of course, we can't have a Christmas thread on the boards without the traditional music...

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

It's not Christmas until the flautist has stood on one leg:

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Finished my card for the year. Was fun finding an excuse to sketch a bit.
