Democalypse 2016

For some reason this reminds me of 2004 when I mistakenly voted for the nadir of candidates. I'm no Machiavelli, though, I don't understand the ins and outs. Is it splitting the vote?

Man do you vote Democrats ...or are you one of those white supremacist dudes who just rejects the idea of a vote

Correct. The extreme lefties vote for Sanders, the rest of the party of big government and no freedom votes for Clinton and the republican nominee wins. It happened in 2000. If Al Gore had gotten just 535 of the 93000+ votes that went to Ralph Nader in Florida he would have become the 43rd President.

I think Bernie should tell the DNC to go f--k themselves and mount a 3rd party run. The DNC is only going to permit Hillary to win so he's wasting his time anyway. Run as an independent Bernie, it's the best thing you can do for your country!

GD I know you take politics seriously but lets be realistic ....Clinton will win

Don't you think you should start to get  use to respect her ...I mean if she is president. I assume you guys respect the office?

I would be also frustrated by Trump...but he is more a symptom of the Republicans  failure to install real confidence. Lets not blame the Democrats for having a logical structure and appeal. I have said this before but the Republicans have almost lost there identity

And yes they need to stop offending minorities and coming across so conservative....it can't be that hard ?

I've made my opinion of Hillary Clinton abundantly clear. And I fail to see how the republicans being "conservative" should offend minorities. Truth to tell I fail to see any conservative republicans at all. The "republican" house and "republican" senate just passed a big government disaster of a budget that gives the President everything he's ever dreamed of and more. They fully funded every bad idea he's had for two years. If both political parties are bound and determined to spend the United States into insolvency one just faster than the other, then the outcomes of elections are meaningless.

If you want my $.02 it's past time we took a hard look at secession. All I can do is protect my financial assets, minimize my tax exposure and make the land I own as productive as possible so if needs be I can provide for myself. And ensure I al well armed and well prepared should the worse come to worst.

Of course you must realize I sympathize with you and others and do always read what you say. I am a white, male and I do believe we need to concerned of real threats which come surreptitiously through various mediums....so yes there are agendas against us. I accept that but Clinton isn't one of the,

And you know you can overreact or maybe its better to say you sometimes need to clear your mind..like the last time you bought all that gold and went to that game park with the dogs

But if I can try to be constructive, the Republicans have got to start asking another series of  question " what do we stand for? What intrinsically do we offer? What will we not accept in our name "

You cannot let a guy like Trump run rampant...I know its easy for me to make suggestions from South Africa but I refuse to believe with all this intelligence and experience Trump is the only divisive candidate

And also GD this whole  " conservative" values needs to be re-looked at if the result is a candidate who just offends people. This is not an attack on your religion or our race, why do you feel you need to follow someone who is religious?

I watched the whole Republican debate, as in the whole thing. There are good candidates like Rubio and Bush. But the thought of Tennessee  seceding....you can't mean that. Imagine not being able to sing the US anthem

Who are the Republicans? That really is the question. Every election they present themselves as the party of limited government and fiscal responsibility. Then once they get elected they act like anything but. I've said this a number of times but the only thing I hate more than the Republicans are the Democrats. But I will hand it to the Dems on one thing. They are honest about their intentions. They do not value freedom, or individual liberty, or private property, or Federalism and they do not pretend that their aim is anything other than to take all these things away in the name of a "fair" and "just" society where they control everything and everyone.

ABC seemingly confirms

Hopefully this will give Sanders enough boost to take down Hillary so he can face off with Trump in 2016.

Guys can I ask you all a question, it seems none of you are prepared to vote Clinton....I won't lie, I'm disappointed

But are you sure its not some misplaced view around the fact she is a women?  It may be  a subconscious view that you arent necessarily aware of..and this is not meant as an insult many people in my country say they aren't ready to vote for  a women?

It just may be best to acknowledge it...get it out there ?

I won't vote for Clinton because I read one of her books years ago. Simple as that. Too many Orwellian ideas for my taste. If you want to be bothered with her sex... That's fine. I couldn't care less. I just don't think her ideas are worth a damn. I would vote for a woman in a heartbeat if there was one of value in politics, but between her, condy rice, and Sarah Palin... It gives women a bad name.

Also, she can't manage 2 email accounts, but you want to give her an entire country? No, thank you.

No, but thanks for the condescension in assuming that we cannot possibly think/act in good faith towards a candidate just because she's a woman. :) Now, in regards to acting in good faith towards a guy around here going by the name of BruceVC who never acts in good faith towards any of us...I'll admit that that one's a little more tricky. ;)

I just don't care that she's a woman, it's not a factor

Age, gender, race, religion... these things don't matter to me

Okay, but its not unusual for those factors you mention to influence many people so its not a ridiculous question

What is the main reason you wont vote for her...you dont trust her ?

No, that's me distancing myself from really trying to respond to you, and instead pointing out - as usual - your apparently seemingly low perception of the general intelligence of people on these forums. Your baby talk-esque reply isn't helping much with that, either.

Okay if you say I am wrong then I suppose I should believe you... :skeptical: ...its just ...its just I am not convinced

But having a low intelligence really should bother you at all, firstly its subjective and secondly I live in a country where many people are deemed to have a " low intelligence" , its not  a factor that really matters ..yes of course in the job space but then you just something suitable

Personally I want to drop all this " he is stupid " ...." he isn't intelligent " ...its ultimately more offensive than constructive

Then perhaps you should begin treating all of us like adults. :) Unfortunately, I've done this little song and dance with you just a few too many times now, and I've just sort of lost my stomach for it at this point.

My problem is that I just can't support social conservatism which makes it hard to vote Republican. Still not voting Clinton though

I'll admit, as someone who's fiscally conservative but still supports equality and environmental protection, it's nearly impossible to find a candidate I agree with 100%. When there was that quiz to determine who you supported a couple months back, I ended up being closest to Sanders, but I hate his economic policies.

It leaves me every election struggling to find who to vote for, and I usually end up only voting if there's someone I'm very opposed to running...but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Well you will never find a candidate who suits you 100 % so might as well vote Clinton as then at least its a Democrat vote

Considering that I swore the first time she ran that if Hillary was elected I was going to leave the country, that seems unlikely.

I hear you....lets not be hasty and want to leave the country

I am excited for your election, I will staying up all night as usual  to watch  :dancing:

I don't know ... last night I heard Americans et al. may obtain a free college education in Germany, taught in English. Not a bad idea to relocate. Do you know how long it takes to repay student loans ... longer than a heart has beats.
