Gorgon Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I checked, all mention of Vram is now gone from the sys rq. Maybe they were worried about sales ? Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
ManifestedISO Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The PS4 at least, uses the system memory. 8GB of fairly speedy GDDR5. How much of that 8GB gets used as vRAM, I'm not sure, probably not more than one or two or three. All Stop. On Screen.
Keyrock Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 How much Vram does a new gen console have anyway. Depending on how you look at it, none, or up to 5GB. Both the PS4 and the XBone use custom AMD Jaguar APUs, and, like all AMD APUs, there is no dedicated vRAM, the CPU and GPU share the RAM. Both consoles have 8 GB of RAM and both reserve around 3GB for the system to use, leaving 5GB for games. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Chilloutman Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Dragon Age: Origin is for free on Origin till 14th - even for free its no go as long as I have to have Origin :/ I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"
Fighter Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I still don't get people's issue with Origin. You turn it on and play your game, that's it. 1
Humanoid Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 people's issue with Origin ...generally... You turn it on P.S. I freely substitute Steam into that statement. I understand people who are fine with both, and people who dislike both. Liking one and disliking the other, ehhhh. 5 L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G

I can buy games from many publishers on it, where with Origin I am stuck with their games only so I dont see point of such program running on background 2 I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. Gorgon Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Really this would be less of an issue if STEAM had been less greedy and less meddlesome. There likely would have been no need for Origin. But yeah, it's bloat your computer doesn't need. Don't want to install more than one digital distribution program for games. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. Fighter Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) There is no 'point' in having another program like Origin running. But I like video games... Oh you can also return games and try them for free on Origin. Edited October 9, 2014 by Fighter
Keyrock Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 So, I just found out that Nintendo released a Bayonetta 2 demo on the eShop today. My reaction: Well, so much for me playing any more Wasteland 2 today. Heck, I might not even watch NFL football. Now I'll be staring at the clock for the rest of the work day trying to will the hands to move faster. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Agiel Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Doctrine overview for Hearts of Iron IV. Of note is AirLand Battle and Shock and Awe being a thing nearly forty years early: I do also like the "Desperate Defense" doctrine icon that shows a man in a wheelchair with a Panzerfaust. Edited October 9, 2014 by Agiel Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

Nonek Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Has anybody else noticed that Ms Bayonetta has a pinhead? Her cranium is absolutely tiny. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!
Keyrock Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Has anybody else noticed that Ms Bayonetta has a pinhead? Her cranium is absolutely tiny. Her figure is all types of absurd and disproportionate, head included. Her legs are ridiculously long. Platinum's not exactly shooting for gritty realism in their games, though, so I'll give them a pass. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Agiel Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 The absurdly tiny head and its resemblance to Sarah Palin's has been the biggest turn off for me for the character to be honest. 1 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle.
