Riverside County Sheriff's Detective John Powers told KFI-AM radio that Pam Ragland found the body matching the description of Smith. Powers said Ragland called a tip line to say she was envisioning a location, and was invited to join the search. Ragland and her children came to the house without knowing it was the boy's, walked on to the property and right to the partially buried body, according to the detective. Powers said he searched the area previously without seeing it. I don't know enough about it to factually debate it but there are numerous cases of people doing extraordinary things with there minds so why not being able to find a hidden body? Then there is the fact that there are ways to do it without any supernatural/paranormal influences, entertainers from all around the world has been doing these things for centuries, if not millenia. The numerous cases you talk about are badly done tests, and completely uncontrolled (There are no measures to make sure they did'nt have any prior knowledge, for instance), there have been many tests done on psychics over the world and none have stood up to the challenge. They are fraudsters and I seriously doubt there will ever be any proof of any paranomal claim done by anyone, and I think they are immoral people - especially the ones that claim to be able to talk to the dead, and interfere with the normal grieving process. Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. I could recommend the Skeptics Guide to the Universe podcast if you want something to listen to, they routinely explain how most tricks are usually done and they also have alot of interviews with magicians that have alot of knowhow. Mostly geekery going on though. Sylvia Brown had a major miss where she predicted that Amanda Berry was dead and drowned, causing her mother to stop searching for her. Has'nt stopped her one bit though, and it is'nt the first major miss she's had either. But what would happen to your perspective of the world if I could tell you right now on these forums what you had for breakfast and what shirt you are wearing. In short, it could always be proved that they had been exposed to all the necessary facts to deduce the answer. But that they were never consciously aware they were doing it.
